Nathan flipped through a financial magazine on the bedside. His deep and dark eyes were full of rage. "You made a promise to Adrian. Doesn't that mean anything to you?"

"I'm sorry, but I..." Mandy said hesitatingly. She was in a crippling dilemma.

"Well, I kind of get it. Come back early... I'll wait for you." Nathan's handsome face was abnormally tense. There was a trace of loss in his usually cool voice.

Mandy sighed into the phone, disappearing into Nathan's ear like a gust of wind. She wanted to say something, but thought twice and swallowed the words.

"Mand..." Nathan spoke softly with a hint of warmth replacing his previously cold tone.

"Yes?" Mandy nodded her head heavily. She couldn't help feeling guilty toward Nathan.

"Never mind...just come back early, or I'll punish you when you come. Remember, don't have any intimate contact with Colin. If he ever touches you and I find out, I will cut his hand off!" Nathan gritted his teeth and spoke with hatred. He finally compromised.

"Thank you, Nathan." There was a sincere smile on Mandy's beautiful face, like a blooming flower in the middle of a grassland.

"He went to plant flowers and sent me to pick up Adrian," Serge answered seriously.

Nacy observed him closely. Serge was very polite and even more charming than Bruce. He looked like someone who read a lot and did not fit his current work profile at all. Normal people wouldn't even recognize that he was from the special troops.

Plus, Nacy found Serge a little strange. Last time she saw him, he was wearing a long sleeve shirt. This time again, he was wearing a long sleeve shirt. It was summer, and the temperature was extremely high. It was really strange. How could he bear the heat? Didn't he feel uncomfortable?

"Handsome, I'm curious about why aren't you wearing a T-shirt on such a hot day." Nacy stared at Serge quizzically. He was about the same age as her, but he seemed much more composed and complicated.

"I'm used to it," Serge replied indifferently. He stepped on the accelerator and slowly drove forward.
