Chapter 597 It Was A Kind Of Injury To The Child

Nathan had to be in the hospital for a whole week. Whereas this would sound tiring to many. For him it was the best week of his life. He was in seventh heaven with Mandy by side. She would often greet him with the warmest hug that lifted his mood and helped him recover quickly.

Today was Adrian's day to be at the kindergarten. Mandy woke up early and helped him put on his kindergarten uniform.

"Mom, isn't Dad coming with us?" Adrian's little lips pouted with sadness as he stood in the bedroom watching his dad 'sleep in' on the bed.

It was unusual for Nathan to sleep in instead of getting up early.

Adrian was still oblivious to his father's injury as Nathan and Mandy thought it would be in his best interest to keep the little one shielded from this information. Nathan, on the other hand, had a long way to his recovery even though he had been discharged from the hospital. The doctors had recommended a good amount of rest and asked him to avoid walking as much as possible.

"Adrian, Dad had a long night as he had to work hard. Why don't we let him rest well today? Don't be sad, okay?" Mandy squatted down to help Adrian fix his little collar. She stared at him with her kind and gentle eyes.

Amidst this, Nathan slowly opened his eyes and smiled happily. He looked handsome as always. "What say you, Adrian? I will pick you up after school. Sounds good, buddy?"

Adrian, evidently excited, squeaked, "Really?" Daddy will you tag along with Mommy, okay?"

Mandy quickly stood up. Taking Adrian by his hand, she said, "Okay, fine, daddy will be there with me. But now it's getting late. Let's quickly go."

"Yes, let's go. Miss Ren said that we must reach kindergarten before eight every morning, or else she will scold us." Adrian hopped into Mandy's car with his little school backpack. Mandy safely tucked the little one into the child safety seat in the back seat. She was proud of her little son.

It was the first time that Mandy was taking Adrian to school. Though she hadn't met the teachers yet, she heard a lot about them from the boy. She was curious to see how the teachers were and how they handled her child.

She noticed an array of luxurious cars right outside the kindergarten.

Adrian was going to the best kindergarten in City A, and it was the topmost ins

y wiped Lisa's eyes. She did not expect to see this duo here. She smiled at the little girl. She always felt guilty about leaving Colin, but she was left with practically no choice. Someone or the other would get hurt, so she decided to pick a side. Mandy chose her biological son over this girl, and though it was apparently a cruel decision, this was for the best.

"Mom, I don't like going to school. I do not want to go." Lisa frowned. One could see the trail of tears on her beautifully soft and tender cheeks.

It was almost out of Mandy's mind that Lisa, too, was of kindergarten age. It was obvious that Colin would send his princess to the best school.

"Oh, no, baby girl, Lisa! It is just the best thing to see you attending kindergarten. Here the teachers will teach you the best skills. When dad and mom go to work, you will master more skills. Wouldn't that be great?"

"Mom, where were you all this time? You have not met me in such a long time. I miss you so much. I want to stay with you." With an adorable look on her face, Lisa placed her head on Mandy's shoulder, not at all ready to leave. She was afraid that Mandy would leave her once again the moment she loosened her grip.

Lisa was just a little girl. She would never understand the implications of divorce. She would never comprehend the fact that Mandy and Colin could not live together anymore. It was unfair to her daughter. So, she held Lisa and walked out, saying, "Lisa, I will play with you today, if you promise to come back to school tomorrow."
