Seeing him give her the medicine for her heat stroke, Mandy felt the warmth spreading in her chest. After taking the medicine, Nathan approached her slowly.

He gently stripped off Mandy's clothes to combat the heat. They buried themselves half-naked into each other's arms.

In a few minutes, Nathan pulled Mandy's hand down to hold his package. Her eyes widened as she immediately withdrew her hand.

She brought her gaze to him, with her eyes wide in apprehension. "What do you want me to do?" she asked innocently.

"Since I'm not allowed to touch you, why don't you touch me?" His eyes glinted as his thumb slid across her swollen lips.

"My head hurts, Nathan," she whispered. She didn't know if she was suffering from her heat stroke or from the pains of her period. Either way, she wasn't in the mood to do anything with him.

"You're so troublesome." Nathan sighed with a smile. Without another word, he lifted the quilt up to wrap around her body and rushed into the bathroom to do the job himself.

As night fell, bright stars replaced the warm sun.

Mandy finally woke up. She slowly propped herself up and looked around. The thick curtains blocked the beautiful view, but even then, she could still see the road lamps and the moonlight from the small gap it left open.

She had just dreamt of Damian, he was like an old friend, facing the depth of time. Although she seldom remembered him now, he had appeared in her dreams tonight.

She remembered that he had saved her once. On the day when she walked across the street in such low spirits, he had pulled her from the hands of death.

She pursed her lips at the thought of his death. Until now, she couldn't really understand how his entire family had been annihilated in just one night.

Could Nathan have something to do with it? Mandy remembered the grudge Nat

e quickly took out two mosquito defense bracelets.

"What's that?" Mandy furrowed her eyebrows.

"It's to avoid getting bitten by mosquitos. You said you wanted to watch the stars, right?" Nathan smiled. He was also wearing one around his wrist. He quickly clasped it around hers as well.

Raising her hand, Mandy narrowed her eyes at the words engraved on the band. It said, "Child's Defensive Bracelet Against Mosquitos."

"It is for kids," Mandy said as she pulled the bangle.

"You can use it too. You're my baby," he teased. A touch of tenderness passed his face.

Mandy let out a soft laugh. Sometimes, Nathan could be a helpless romantic if he wasn't running off trying to intimidate everyone in his path.

Actually, the bracelet belonged to Adrian since he's always going out. Since Mandy and Adrian shared the same blood type, he was also prone to be bitten by mosquitoes.

The phrase 'watching the stars' had always been Nathan's weak spot since it reminded him of Sharon. When he heard Mandy saying what she wanted to do, he pulled a face, but he didn't complain about it tonight. Instead, he bent over and picked her up.

"Let's go," he said. His bright eyes could rival the glittering stars above.
