Chapter 557 You Hurt Him

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
"I already have a child, and I used to have a family." Colin smiled wryly, shaking his head. It seemed that everything truly had been taken from him.

Mandy didn't know what else to say to him, but she thanked the faiths that he wasn't seriously ill. She hoped that after this, he would be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

As Mandy waited for the elevator, Morry and Lisa walked out of the lift. Lisa was holding an ice cream cone in her hand, relishing the ice cream on top of it.

"Mandy, I have something to tell you," Morry snapped, staring at her coldly.

Mandy narrowed her eyes in annoyance. She understood that Morry was angry with her, but did she really have to speak to her like that? However, Mandy didn't say another word. Instead, she stood and waited.

Morry was about to send Lisa back to the ward, but the young girl shook off her hands. She quickly ran up to Mandy. "I don't want to leave, Mom," she stated.

"I need to talk with Aunt Morry, okay? Go back to the ward and take care of your dad. He misses you," Mandy said patiently, ruffling her daughter's hair.

Fearing that Mandy wouldn't come back, Lisa exerted all her strength to hold onto Mandy's arms. She raised her eyes as her bottom lip trembled. Mandy couldn't help but feel sorry for the kid.

Her heart softened. She scooped her up slowly. "Listen to me, sweetie. I just have something to discuss with Aunt Morry, okay? I'll come see you later. I promise."

"Mom, will you leave me again?" Her eyes glistened in tears. The ice cream she was holding dropped onto the tiles.

Morry frowned,

felt as if her heart was doing somersaults in her chest. She didn't expect that Mandy would be so kind to her after how mean she had been. No wonder Colin loved her.

"I… Mand, I'm sorry." Morry lowered her head.

She had always been a straightforward person. Being an attorney, she got straight to the point and never beat around the bush.

This was why Mandy liked her.

"We're friends, Morry. You don't have to apologize. I hope that you'll find your happiness with Colin."

"Thank you, but I really don't know what to do." Morry sighed helplessly. She had already tried everything to get the man to notice her, but it seemed her tactics had done absolutely nothing.

"He's a stubborn man, but in time you will get to him. For now, you could always try and get close to Lisa. Speaking of her, did you tell her that I wouldn't come back?" she questioned.

Morry quickly apologized, rubbing the back of her neck. "I was so annoyed with everything, and I didn't know if you were coming back at all," she said apologetically. "That's why I told her that."
