Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
"Stay away from him, Mand. I'll return all these presents to him tomorrow. If you like the brands he gave you, then I'll just buy them for you," he stated. His handsome face turned serious at the sight of all these presents. Even if he didn't find anything, Nathan still thought something was fishy. "Damian is a very dangerous man. Who knows what he's capable of?"

At his warning, Mandy could only nod.

"Let's have dinner." Finally calming down, Nathan stretched out his hand and held Mandy in his arms. However, it seemed that Mandy still had a few questions of her own.

"Aren't you two brothers? Why do you hate each other so much?" she asked, furrowing her eyebrows. Mandy never really knew much about their past. All she knew was that Nathan really disliked him.

"I treated him as a brother, yet he never treated me as such. He's the kind of person who has fallen under the influence of money," Nathan said, and his eyes darkened at the memories that flooded him. Nathan didn't really care about the grudges held between him and Damian. He was even willing to put pass the financial losses that Luke's corruption had caused years ago.

Since Luke was his uncle, Nathan wanted to forgive him. However, the man was just too ambitious. Even if he wasn't at JS International now, he still aimed to extract money from the company.

"You mean that Damian betrayed you for money?" She lowered her voice.

"More than once. There are just some things you don't need to know, Mand. I want you to be happy and not worry over these trivial things." He pulled out a chair and assisted his wife to the seat.

"You don't have to tell me, and I won't force you. But I hope you know that I'm always here for you, okay? We'll go through happiness and sadness together. Let me help you,"

she said softly. Nathan

into his arms, filling his sleeves with snot and tears.

Nathan embraced her. Although he didn't know what was on her mind, he knew that this might make her feel better.

"Nathan, do you know the flower language of gypsophila?" she asked, sobbing.

"Don't cry. You know how emotional you can get. You might hurt the baby." Nathan assisted her to the sofa.

"You're right. I won't cry anymore." Mandy straightened her back and wiped off her tears. Thinking of her baby, she had to be brave, just for this time.

"I know the flower language of gypsophila: I'm willing to play a supporting role." A touch of sadness flashed across his face.

Gypsophila had been Sharon's favorite flower.

"When Sharon was alive, she always played the accompaniment for me while I was playing the piano. I can't believe how selfish I was, you know? I never played to accompany her. It was always the other way around." She bowed her head in shame.

"Don't talk nonsense. You were friends. I don't think she cared much about it." His heart turned at the thought, although he didn't really understand why.

Was it because of Mandy's sadness? Or was it because of Sharon's insistence to stay away from the spotlight?
