"Mand, are you tired?" Madeline turned around and smiled at her daughter, who was wrapped around by Nathan's arms.

"A little." Mandy tried her best to open her eyes wide, but her attempts went in vain. She was way too tired.

"Nathan, take Mand, in that case. Let her have some rest. Women are easily tired during the first three months of pregnancy," Daisy said as she walked towards Nathan.

"Then I'll take Mand back home." Nathan bent down and held Mandy in his arms.

"You shall have to go out and wait for me. I'll bring it to you right away." He turned off the heat and stared at her lovingly.

After a while, Nathan and Lillian came to the living room and placed the breakfast on the table. There were fried eggs, noodles with a simple sauce, minced pork congee with preserved egg, milk, wonton, and steamed buns.

Since Mandy was prone to vomiting these days, Nathan made sure to add very little oil when frying the eggs. He was a considerate man.

"Nathan, did you cook all of these?" There was a tinge of surprise in Mandy's soft voice.

"Some of them were made by Lillian. I just made the noodles and fried the eggs." Nathan put the noodles he made by himself in front of Mandy.

Lillian smiled gently, turned around, and went into another room. In this family, she had permission to leave or stay as she pleased. Nathan never treated her like a servant. However, at this time, she knew the couple would need some privacy, so she disappeared.
