"Take your time. We're going somewhere beautiful later." Nathan looked at Mandy with a smile on his handsome face.

"Where are we going?"

"You'll know very soon," Nathan said, refusing to tell her anything to keep her in suspense.

He was about to drink his coffee when Mandy's hand shot up and stopped him. She hurriedly grabbed the cup from him and said rather authoritatively, "Nathan, coffee is not good for your stomach. Don't drink it again."

"I've been drinking it for so many years. I've gotten used to it." Nathan looked like a kid swiped his candy. His pouting expression just screamed 'helpless, ' but the smile in his eyes said how touched he was by Mandy's thoughtfulness. She continued to hold the coffee away from him. If he chose to, he could overpower her and grab the coffee back from her.

"It's a bad habit. You need to change it," Mandy said seriously. Her concern for him had overridden her fear of making him angry.

Nathan narrowed his eyes at her but ultimately conceded to her. He had no choice. After all, Mandy was pregnant! He couldn't afford to get her too riled up.

After breakfast, Nathan drove Mandy to the Bureau of Civil Affairs. Along the way, she realized she had forgotten to bring her residence booklet with her. Oh, why did they come here unprepared?

Mandy pulled his sleeve and said sheepishly, "Nathan, my household register book is at home. I forgot to bring it with me."

"It's okay. Come with me." Nathan wore a relaxed smile. It didn't matter even if she didn't bring her household register book. If he wanted to get married, he'd find a way to make it happen.

"What? Is that okay?" Mandy asked doubtfully, but Nathan continued to lead her forward.

Nathan brought her into an office where a man in a suit sat at a desk. He didn't seem too old, probably around his early thirties, and he looked especially spirited.

"Hello, Mr. Jin, and Miss Zhou," the director of the Bureau of Civil Affairs stood up from his seat and welcomed them warmly.

"Director Wang." Nathan also smiled gently.

"Mr. Jin and Miss Zhou, please have a seat," the man said before he personally made two cups of tea for them.

After taking their photos, the director of the Civil Affairs Bureau took out two marriage certificates

th a polite smile.

Leo knew Mandy. She was an excellent student at Oxford, and her reputation preceded her.

The two old schoolmates shook their hands. She didn't expect to see him here. They politely made small talk for a while. Eventually, Leo took the wedding candies from Mandy and wished her the best. He then left them and went to the operating room.

"Girl." When Jayleen came out of the ward, she found Mandy besieged by many people, including many relatives of the patients.

Hearing someone address her, Mandy turned her head and greeted her friend with a bright smile, "Jayleen."

Jayleen saw the wedding candies in Mandy's hands before turning her attention to Nathan, who was beside her. A light bulb flicked open in her mind, and she immediately realized that they came here for the wedding candies.

"Jayleen, I came here to give you an invitation to our wedding. We're getting married next Friday. Please, I'd love for you to be there."

Jayleen received the red invitation with an elated smile and accepted, "Of course, I will be there!"

"I have something else to do later, so I have to leave now. I'll visit you again when I'm free," Mandy said as her smile remained.

"Okay, please come and visit us again."

"Director Zhou, we are waiting for you to come back."

Nathan held Mandy's hand as they walked out of the Cardiology Department. The two of them were silent on their way out. It wasn't until they entered the elevator that he pulled her closer and kissed her fiercely.
