Chapter 271 She Got Sunstroke Because Of Him

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
Since Mandy had clearly stated that they were done for good, Nathan felt that it was wrong to force her.

Nathan sighed and looked around. His eyes settled on an exquisite gift box on the passenger seat. It was a beautiful fawn brooch, which Nathan had gotten for Mandy when he was on his trip to America.

He had been so excited about giving it to Mandy when he returned. He thought that he would get to see her as soon as he reached City A, so he had decided to keep the brooch in his car. However, to his disappointment, Mandy had left him by then.

Nathan was absent from work the next day. He didn't go to work until late in the evening.

The secretaries of JS International were perturbed by the sight of him. It was their time off, and they were worried about working overtime as their boss had just arrived.

As soon as Eve got the information that Nathan was going to work in the evening, she decided to meet him at his office.

Eve had missed him terribly and had not seen him since he returned from America. Nathan had been distant and had not talked much with her.

Eve sighed and knocked on the door of Nathan's office.

"Come in," Nathan said absentmindedly. There was sadness in his hoarse voice.

Eve was shocked by Nathan's tone. She was standing by the door, staring at Nathan while holding the Bento lunch she had cooked for him. Eve was aware of Nathan's break up with Mandy. She didn't know if he had eaten yet. Nathan loved Bento lunch, and Eve thought that it would make him feel better.

Eve was bubbling with joy when she heard that Nathan and Mandy had broken up. She wanted to light up fireworks and celebrate their separation.

"Nathan, it's late. Why don't you go back home and rest?" Eve suggested as she walked into Nathan's office in a pair of flat ballet shoes. She had specifically opted for these shoes as she didn't want to disturb him.

"I have something important to deal with," Nathan said without taking his eyes off the documents on the table while twisting an expensive pen in his hand.

oolish to lie to Nathan. Karma was playing with Mandy's fate, and Eve couldn't be happier about it.

"How do you know?" Nathan asked as a frown tugged on his forehead.

"I was at the hospital when Mandy was admitted. I inquired from the doctor about Mandy's condition and checked the surveillance camera of No. 1 High School. She was with Daniel that day," Eve said sympathetically.

Nathan clenched his fists, and his fingernails sank into his palm. His blood began to boil as he pictured Mandy with Daniel.

"What were they doing at school?" he asked through gritted teeth. He was holding his breath, and Eve's words were driving him insane.

"Not much. They were just wandering around No. 1 High School. I guess they were reminiscing about their school days. But Mandy fainted, and Bruce rushed her to the hospital," Eve sneered and was pleased with herself. She was happy to see that Nathan was mad at Mandy.

'Reminiscing about their school days!'

The words irked Nathan. What was there to cherish? Daniel was an asshole who had treated Mandy like shit. He still couldn't come to terms with the fact that she had forgiven him so easily. Nathan was, in a way, glad that Daniel had played his tricks. Otherwise, Mandy would never have broken up with him. Nathan blew out a loud sigh as he was overwhelmed by thoughts that were cramming his brain.
