Chapter 263 We Are Done

Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
Nathan sneered at Mandy. With his sharp nose and thin lips, his face seemed to resemble a knife that was pointed right at Mandy's heart. "The game has just begun. I'll say when it's over," Nathan said.

"Then, how do you want to end it?" Mandy asked Nathan as she raised her head.

"Of course, it will end when I want it to."

Mandy shook her head. She was fed up with Nathan and his mind games. This was one of the many reasons why she found him so petty and unreasonable. It was not easy to deal with Nathan at any level.

"All right, Nathan. If that's the case, we have nothing to talk about. I'm going to work," Mandy said. There was no reason to talk with him anymore. Mandy was not in the mood to continue the conversation with Nathan, whose petty and pedantic words left her very tired. There was no reasoning with the man.

"You know, Nacy wants to meet with you," Nathan said. He smirked at Mandy again, and she knew what that smirk meant. It was the smirk of someone with another ace up his sleeve. Mandy didn't like it when Nathan smirked like that.

Hearing what he said, Mandy was stunned. She didn't know how to reply to him.

That was when Nacy appeared from out of the shadows. She had followed Nathan all the way here.

Mandy tried her best to hide her fear at the sight of Nacy. This was a confrontation she did not relish, but there was no turning back from it now. Mandy had no choice but to face Nacy.

"Hello, Nacy," Mandy said. It was all Mandy could do to keep herself from trembling like a leaf. Mandy could tell that Nacy was not in a very friendly mood just by looking at her. She stared right through Mandy, who could feel her anger as she looked into Nacy's eyes.

"Mandy Zhou," Nacy addressed Mandy by her full name. She did not bother to mask the confidence in her voice.

It seemed that she had discovered everything.

'This is not good at all. This is not how it should have been.' Mandy did not know what to do. She had done everything in her power to keep the secret hidden, but Nathan would not stop until everything was exposed. Mandy raised her eyes and stared at Nathan, who was ready to watch the show. He was eager to see fireworks erupt between Mandy and

acy felt no pity at all for her former friend. She clenched her fists in anger and turned her back on Mandy.

"Don't ever let me see you again. If we meet again, I might not be able to hold myself back. That would be bad for both of us."

Mandy didn't say anything and merely stood in place. She didn't see any reason to try and reason with Nacy now. She felt so tired and dejected. Mandy was completely spent, and she felt that it was all done now. There was nothing she could do about Nacy anymore. The fact was that Nacy hated Mandy.

"Nacy, let's go." Nathan held Nacy's hand tightly, and the two of them walked away from Mandy, who was left all alone with only her misery for company.

Mandy heard Nacy laugh with contempt as they walked away.

Once Nathan and Nacy were gone, Mandy simply collapsed on the floor. She felt so tired and just had no energy left.

Nacy was a good friend to her. Mandy thought that they would be friends forever, but it would not be so. It hurt her, but there was nothing Mandy could do about it now.

That was when the door was suddenly swung open. Allen walked in, and he immediately noticed Mandy sitting on the floor, very dejected.

"Director Zhou, what's wrong?" Allen asked with much concern.

Mandy smiled and said stiffly, "I'm fine. Dr. Chen, thank you."

"You surely don't look fine. What's wrong? You can tell me." Allen offered a listening ear to Mandy. It was now up to her if she would accept his offer or not.
