Name:Billionaire's Gift Author:Rabbit
The next day, in the JR Hospital

Mandy was restless, sitting all alone in her office. She felt that an invisible wall had formed between her and Nathan. Although their differences were reconciled in no time, Mandy felt that Nathan's attitude towards her had visibly changed.

Women were always sensitive, and their emotions were hard to contain when they were in love. Every move and every gesture mattered to them. They would notice the subtle changes and worry about what had gone wrong. Mandy was no exception.

Cassie made a steaming cup of coffee in the tea room and walked back into the office.

"Doctor Zhou, I've made you a cup of coffee," Cassie said, flashing a broad smile at Mandy.

"Thank you," Mandy said, looking pleased.

Her eyes casually settled on Cassie's neck, and Mandy found that she wasn't wearing the necklace. She wondered why. She was worried that Cassie didn't like the necklace. The thought of it made her feel worse.

Cassie was good at reading people's minds but didn't have the answer to Mandy's question. She didn't know why she had removed the necklace. It was perhaps of the guilt that was consuming her every time she looked at the necklace.

Cassie bit her lips and said nervously, "Thank you for the necklace, Doctor Zhou. I love it, but it's expensive, and I'm concerned about wearing it to the hospital. It's safe at home."

"Oh, it doesn't matter. It isn't that expensive. Don't worry." Mandy trusted Cassie and rubbed her shoulders to comfort her.

Mandy's right hand was still wrapped in a bandage. Cassie gently stroked her injured hand and asked, "How's your hand? When can we remove the bandage?"

"I'm feeling much better now. I think we can get rid of the bandage in a couple of days." Mandy gave an assuring smile.

"When you had sunstroke that day, I was scared to death." Cassie frowned thinking about what had happened that day.

"Y

She wished that Daniel could finally get to live his life. He had been through a lot in the past.

A lot of people couldn't understand why Mandy was kind to Daniel after everything that had happened. Mandy knew whom to love and whom not to. Although she knew that she couldn't love Daniel, she could forgive him.

She was ready to give a chance to someone brave enough to turn over a new leaf.

"Maybe this is for the best. If fate decides that two people cannot be together, then they can never get together no matter how much they try. Anyway, how are things between you and Mr. Jin?" Cassie asked, trying to put on a happy front, but she was shaking with fear internally.

Cassie was aware that she wasn't doing the right thing and tried her best to suppress the fear. She didn't want Mandy to find out that she was up to something wrong.

Mandy trusted Cassie, and her relationship with Nathan wasn't a secret anymore. "We quarreled last night. But I don't even think it's a quarrel. I feel that there is a gap between us."

"What's wrong?" Cassie's eyes popped open as she was eager to find the answer.

Mandy didn't suspect Cassie at all. She knew women were inquisitive. "He found out that I was taking contraceptives last night. He is mad about it."
