Bruce didn't think too much about it. Besides, he believed that Mandy and Nathan would come to an end sooner or later. His feelings for Mandy were unconditional. If one day Mandy really did break up with Nathan, Bruce would not mind Mandy's past.

It was nighttime. The light coming from the villa at No. 520, Haibin Road illuminated the darkness.

"Nathan, can you get my hair band please?" Mandy shouted to Nathan reading in the bedroom as she brushed her teeth.

"Where is it?" Nathan asked, putting down his book at once. For him, nothing was more important than Mandy.

"Hmm...Take a look on the bedside table. If it's not there, maybe you can find it in the drawer." Mandy smiled and wiped her mouth.

Nathan stooped down and squatted in front of the bedside table. He eagerly helped Mandy find the hair band.

When he didn't see it on the bedside table, he pulled open the drawer.

The hair band was there, and he admired the how cute it was, and how much cuter it would be on Mandy. Then he was drawn to a small white bottle in the drawer. Nathan's deep eyes suddenly narrowed.

He turned the bottle unto his hand. There was a small label on the other side which read 'contraceptives.'

"Nathan..." Mandy rushed out of the bathroom when she heard the pills rustling in the bottle. There was a hint of nervousness in her voice.

With a livid face, Nathan stood up with the bottle of white contraceptive pills in his hand. Even the warm light in the bedroom couldn't conceal the coldness in Nathan's eyes.

When their eyes met, Mandy unconsciously looked away and gazed at the bottle of contraceptives in Nathan's hand.

"How long have you been taking these?" His breathing became heavy, and his gaze became deeper and deeper as if he was going to engulf Mandy's soul.

Mandy lowered her head. She was so careless tonight. How could she let Nathan check her bedside table!

"Nathan… I… I've only taken them a couple of times.

wiped off her tears.

"I understand how you feel. Don't worry. Before we get married, I won't let you get pregnant. I let my emotions get ahead of me and was too inconsiderate." Nathan patted on Mandy's shoulder.

"Thank you, Nathan." Mandy's lips curled up into a smile as she looked up at Nathan.

"You're welcome, silly girl. I'll go take a shower first." Nathan let go of Mandy and turned around. As soon as his back was towards her, there was a cold expression flashing in his eyes.

When Nathan disappeared into the bathroom, Mandy walked towards the bed. Then she felt the soles of her feet pressing against and crushing the white pills. She squatted down immediately to pick up the pills and threw them into the trashcan.

She would never take those pills ever again, she thought.

So what if she got pregnant before marriage? As long as Nathan loved her, she wouldn't care about what others said. She felt that she had turned blind because of love.

Madeline's reminder was still ringing in her ears. She had warned Mandy that she must not get pregnant before marriage!

Thinking of this, Mandy felt that she had disappointed her parents. They raised her painstakingly, and yet here she was. If they found out she got pregnant before marriage, they would definitely be unhappy.
