49 It's Been A Long Time....Bai Sheng

Angel stared at the direction Scarlet had gone eagerly. It had been a few minutes now.

"When is she coming?" Angel said.

"Patience my dear..... oh look, they're here!"

"Eh?" Amber turned around excited. Her expression soon changed and her eyes were suddenly filled with tears.

"B...big brother...."

Bai Sheng smiled at his sister and spread his arms wide waiting for a hug, what he didn't expect was that two girls would hug him at the same time.

He didn't see who the second girl in his arms was but judging by the his body not reacting negatively he sighed and hugged both of them tighter.

Anna didn't really know how she ended up in his embrace, she remembered seeing him and becoming overcome with emotions.

She had been looking forward to see him for the past 2 years and finally, he was right here in front of her.

The other women stared at the scene dumbfounded. Anna hardly showed any emotions and yet here she was hugging this absolutely gorgeous man.

He looked so handsome dressed in his army uniform. "I guess every girl's weakness is good looking guys" One of the ladies said admiring Bai Sheng.

"Yeah....that guy is smoking hot!"

"Are the both of you ready to leave me now or do you want to choke me some more?" Bai Sheng chuckled, they had been in that position close to 5 minutes now.....

"Ahem!" Anna cleared her throat and distanced herself awkwardly.

"Sorry...." Angel apologized before leaving Bai Sheng as well.

"You look good in uniform big brother, I haven't seen you in your uniform before" Bai Sheng laughed "Really? I look good?"

Anna stared at him in a daze. She had seen him smile but this was definitely the first time she saw him laugh. Was he always like thus around his sister?

"Do I look good Anna?" Anna almost choked when she heard his words.

She stared at him from head to toe. He looked extremely dashing, she didn't know if it was just her imagination but she felt that he looked more mature in his uniform.

Anna maintained her indifferent expression and nodded "Yep....it looks good"

Bai Sheng smiled and patted Anna's head, she was actually much more taller now. Even though she still wasn't anywhere close to his height.

"I missed you...both of you" Bai Sheng quickly said to stop any suspicion.

"General Zhang" Eve smiled and shook Bai Sheng's hand.

Anna and Angel looked at him in surprise "G...General?"

"Yep, My brother has finally decided to retire and well, Bai Sheng....I mean General Zhang here had been promoted" Eve said smiling.

Anna nodded understanding, Bai Sheng was dressed like a general she just just didn't notice because of her love sickness.

"Congratulations" Anna said, suddenly remembering something she quickly turns around.

"Uh....Angel?"

"Yeah?"

"Where is Amber?" Anna asked staring at her empty seat.

"She was right here...." Angel said confused.

"Ok, I guess we'll meet her later. For now, big brother I need you to tell me everything that happened when I wasn't with you" Angel said as she linked both she and her brother's arms.

"You guys can go.....I'll catch up after I find Amber" Anna said turning around

"Bye Bai Sheng" Anna said leaving the brother and sister alone.....well, with their third wheel, Eve.

After seeing the face of the man whom her friends went to hug she smiled bitterly. "I should have known...." she whispered before getting up to leave.

She went to her room and lay on her bed not moving one bit. Her fists suddenly clenched at her sides "It's been a long time.....Bai Sheng.."

She closed her eyes and tried to calm her emotions, the silence in the room was disrupted by a knock ok the door

"Amber?....Amber are you in there?"

Amber heard Anna's voice and sighed. She dragged her weak body to the door to unlock it.

"Hi...." Amber waved lazily.

Anna looked at the girl's drooping eye lids and got worried "Are you feeling okay?. You just left suddenly"

Amber laughed nervously "That.....I just got turned tired suddenly so I decided to come and take a rest."

Anna nodded. Seeing that Anna believed her, Amber secretly sighed.

"I guess I got worried for nothing" Anna said before walking in and sitting on Amber's bed.

"Is there something wrong?" Amber asked sitting next to her friend.

Anna sighed "I'm so stupid aren't I?....I just had to go and hug him. I wonder what he thinks of me"

Anna brushed her hands through her hair frustrated. She had only ever told Amber about her feelings for Bai Sheng. She felt that if she told Angel as well, it would be too weird.

"Although he already knows how I feel, I still can't help but worry that he didn't take me seriously. Maybe he just sees me as a sister or...it's all that girl's fault!"

Amber laughed and patted her friends shoulder "Its never easy to forget your first love Anna, so I sort of understand if Bai Sheng doesn't feel thesame way. But...."

Anna's ears perked up as she faced her friend "But what?"

"But..." Amber continued "There might also be a chance that he feels thesame way but he is either afraid of his feelings for you or he feels that he is going to hurt you"

"You think so?" Anna asked blinking her eyes.

"Yep. And I am speaking from experience. If you really want to make him tell you his true feelings...why don't you apply some of Red's training?"

Anna choked "You want me to use the art of seduction on Bai Sheng?.....are you crazy?" Anna laughed, he was trained in the special ops. There was no way it would work on him.

"I'm just saying.....a man is a man no matter how different" Amber said lying down comfortably on her bed.

"18th head chief, would you care to join me on my nap?"

Anna laughed and covered herself with the blanket "Okay assistant head chief,lets go to sleep"

The girls giggled and snuggled close to each other before falling asleep.
