48 Graduating 2

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Anna yawned loudly with silly smile on her face.

It was the day of graduation. She was finally going to become an Eve's barrettewhich also means.....

"Uniform....hmm, uni uni....unifoooormmm" Anna sang in an off key tune. She felt so happy that she didn't realize she had scrubbed her entire body three times in the shower.

It wasn't that she didn't care about being able to leave this island but there was something about that uniform. It attracted her, she wanted to know what it felt like being called a barrette. It was a great honor and she would become a hero to not only her country but others as well....

Anna put on her trainee uniform "Today is the last day...."

She tied her hair and looked in the mirror one last time.

She turned around and looked at the photo at her bedside and smiled "Li Chen....I'm almost there..."

She sighed and quickly left.

"Two years ago today.....there were at least a few hundred of you.

But today here we are....23 strong and bright women..." Eve had on her uniform today, she stared at the smartly dressed ladies with a look of pride on her face

"Women who have gone through hardships and persevered. Some of lost your friends and some of you had to leave your friends but today is for you.

Today your journey of two years will come to an end and you will begin a new journey in your life....which is becoming an Eve's barrette "

There was a loud cheer from the crowd after Eve finished speaking.

"Please come forward according to your ranks and collect your uniforms"

Anna and Amber squealed, both of them were here mostly for the uniform. Angel shook her head and stood behind Amber who was behind Anna.

They were the top 3 on the whole island and some instructors even said they surpassed the people that came before them.

Anna walked up to the stage and hid her excitement perfectly. She looked at Eve with a slight smile on her lips "Eve...it has been an honor training under you and becoming one of your barrettes"

Eve felt her eyes tear up as she heard the girl's words. This was the first time someone actually said these words to her ever since she made this base.

They always felt so high and mighty and some of them didn't even communicate with her anymore.

"Its my pleasure Anna Lu...."

Eve turned to look at Scarlet and nodded at her, Scarlet picked up the first red uniform at the row and handed it to Eve.

The uniform was neatly folded with a black barrette on it.

Her name was carved on a gold medal on the breast pocket the uniform and it read "Anna Lu : 18th Head Chief Of The Barettes.

Anna looked at her name with pride. She started off as a girl from a village who ended up on a wheel chair and now she was here. The 18th head cheif of the Eve's Barettes! She had amazing and unique women under her.

She collected the uniform with trembling hands and she really couldn't hide her emotions anymore as her tears fell freely.

Eve smiled at the girl and wiped her tears "No tears today Anna....no tears"

Eve smiled brightly and looked at the other women.

"This is your new head chief! You will take orders from her in the future and any form of disrespect will not be accepted!" Eve sighed lightly and looked at Anna.

"I hope you guide and lead your barrettes well, Anna Lu, 18th head chief of the Eve's Barettes "

Anna saluted at Eve with bright eyes. She had never imagined that she would feel this way.

This feeling...she liked it! she loved it very much. As much as she would hate to admit it, she was drunk with power at the moment.

Anna stared at the uniform stupidly as she made way for Amber. Amber lightly squeezed her hand before walking up to the stage.

Anna watched as both Amber and Angel collected their uniforms and accepted their new posts.

Once everyone had collected their uniforms and were all now seated. Eve stood on stage again but this time with a sad expression.

"Unfortunately, not all of you are going to stay. Some of you are leaving today am I right?"

Anna was surprised when she saw a few girls nodding their heads.

"I would like to wish you all good luck in your lives and I hope you don't give my barrettes bad reputations by using your training for bad things"

Eve cleared her throat and sighed "Don't worry you can keep your uniforms just to show that.....you were here"

"And as for the rest of you.....you are now official Eve's Barettes! "

Everyone cheered happily, a journey of two years had finally come to an end. It was not easy for anyone.

"And as for our youngest barrette on the island. The first ever to become a barrette at 16. I have a present for you"

Angel ran back up to the stage excitedly.She lived for surprises. "Well, what is it?. What is it?"

Eve chuckled at the girl's eagerness "You'll see...." Eve said with mysterious eyes before signaling Scarlet.

"Go and get the present"

Scarlet nodded, she herself was excited to see everyone's reactions.
