[It was a boy. The person floating in the water was a boy, and the boy didn’t even scream for help even if his body was dragged by the strong current of the river.

Not only was the side of the valley rocky, but the river was rocky too, and the current was strong between the boulders in the river.

However, the boy who was carried away by the river’s current didn’t even show any movement, and Bai Chen could feel his heart pounding against his ribs. “Is that boy dying?” He asked himself as he realized that the boy had indeed not shown any movement, and his grip around the water bottle tightened as he realized the possibility.

Bai Chen was nervous. He was just an ignorant child, but he was always afraid to see how people died. One day he went to the market with his mother, and he accidentally witnessed how someone was stabbed in the stomach and eventually died in the market.

It was a terrifying experience for him, and that was why he was always afraid whenever he thought that someone was dying.

.....

“No! That boy can’t be dead! He won’t die if I can save him!” Bai Chen didn’t want to see anyone dying before his eyes one more time, and without thinking, he quickly threw his water bottle on the ground before he carried his body into the river.

Maybe he was just an innocent kid, but he knew how to swim, and that was why he was quite confident as he carried his body toward the boy. His hands and feet worked extremely hard as he tried to bring his body closer to the boy.

The current in the river was indeed strong, and that was why it wasn’t easy for Bai Chen to get closer to the unconscious boy, but he didn’t want to give up as he continued to move his four limbs.

Until finally, the boy was within his reach, and Bai Chen immediately grabbed the boy’s sleeve because that was the part that was closer to him. His grip on the sleeves was tight, and with all his might, he tried to pull the boy closer to him.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t easy for him either because the boy had a body that was bigger than him, and he even had to fight against the cold water that seemed to freeze his body.

However, he knew that he was a werewolf, and a werewolf couldn’t allow himself to be defeated by the cold water. Thus, Bai Chen tried to ignore the coldness as he focused his blue eyes on the boy in his arms now, and he could see that it was indeed a boy. The boy’s forehead was covered by what looked like gauze, and that was why Bai Chen couldn’t see the boy’s entire face.

The boy didn’t move at all, and his eyes were also closed as if the owner no longer wanted to see the beautiful scenery on the river.

“You can’t die! I will save you, so you can’t die!” Little Bai Chen gritted his teeth as he tried to take the boy to the side of the river.

The boy was now in his arms, and that was why it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to swim because the boy’s body was quite heavy. He could see that the boy was indeed bigger than him, and he thought that the boy might be several years older than him.

Nonetheless, he didn’t care about that. He only wanted to save the boy, and that was why he furrowed his brows as he tried to muster up his strength so that he could take the boy to a safer place.

Even if he was very young, he was a werewolf, and that was why his body was immediately enveloped in blue light as he tried to concentrate on what he was doing.

He managed to use his strength in this situation, and it was also the power that helped him reach the riverside where he could lay the boy on the ground as he tried to catch his breath.

His brown hair and white clothes were drenched in water, and his body was also shivering from the low temperature of the water. The blue light that enveloped his body gradually dissipated, and he tiredly placed his body next to the unconscious boy while continuing to try to stabilize his breathing.

His eyes stared at the blue sky, but then he turned his head to the side to find that the boy was still unconscious. True, he couldn’t see the boy’s entire face because of the gauze around his forehead, but Bai Chen could still see how the boy’s face was as white as paper as if there was no blood running down his face.

The pair of blue eyes widened at the realization, and he immediately brought his body to sit next to the boy while touching the boy’s chest. His palms didn’t feel any movement in the chest, and even when he put his finger under the boy’s nostrils, he couldn’t feel any warm breath escaping from the nostrils either.

“Are you really dead?” Bai Chen whispered weakly as his eyes nervously stared at the unconscious boy.

Bai Chen was truly terrified. He didn’t want to see anyone dying before his eyes so he tried his best to save the boy, but the boy died anyway.

The Werewolf Prince panicked, and as his heart became even more restless, a blue light once again enveloped his body.

“You can’t breathe anymore, can you?” He gently questioned the unconscious boy, but of course, he did not get any response from the boy. Suddenly leaning towards the boy, his lips were right on top of the boy’s as he whispered, “If you can’t breathe, then I’ll help you breathe.”

And Bai Chen didn’t even know what he was doing, but he pressed his lips against the boy’s, and he suddenly felt that something was missing in his body when their lips met.]
