Chapter 306 306: Irgis City VI

[5th Floors Special Quest I: Garudon The Great, Dragon Lord Of Irgis Island Has Offered You A Contract To Assassinate The Three Monster Ascendants Of The Sapphire Sea And Return Their Gold Ranked Prisms To Him, So That He Can Use The Stats Gained From It To Push For The Diamond Rank: <Gold Rank Prism Of The Crashing Waves 0/1> <Gold Rank Prism Of The Rainmaker's Storm 0/1> <Gold Rank Core Of The Deep 1/1> Rewards: +5 Million Exp!]

Would you look at that, Cole was somehow not surprised to see that he already had one of the prisms with him. It seems his clash with the giant octopus when he had just arrived on this floor was no random event. By this point in time he was already used to feeling as if he was being guided by some hand of fate.

Based on his earlier quest, Cole knew for a fact that there was at least ten gold rank monsters within the sapphire sea, one of which he had slain on his arrival, and another which he was currently looking at right now. The final boss of the sapphire seas if you were into that sort of thing.

But if only three of those gold rank monsters along with this dragon were known as the four ascendants of the sapphire sea, then perhaps knowledge about the other six was not well known. It could either be that they were afraid and keeping their presence a secret, or just did not care enough to be in the limelight to be known as an ascendant.

The octopus had across to him as some sort of mindless monster in the way it had attacked him. Perhaps it did not have a sufficient enough intelligence to be anything other than a monster roaming the deep. And perhaps it was the same everywhere, the remaining six monsters, were just that, monsters roaming the deep with no knowledge of them.

If the dragon was not aware, then it was not Cole's place to give than enlightenment. And he had no intention of handing over powerful gold rank prisms to a dragon that would spit roast a baby and serve them up as food to its guest. Cole did not really give a shit what Garudon did in his spare time, but a dragon with that  kind of psychotic tendency in the  diamond rank was not something Cole wanted to be responsible for creating.

"i will deliver the cores to you post haste, but I'm need of some things from you in order to carry out this mission. It would also do to let you know why I am here, so will you be able to meet my demands?" Cole asked as the dragon narrowed its eyes then shifted its form until a lean red haired man with multiple piercings was now seating opposite Cole.

"Well that depends on what you're asking for. As long as you are not here to mess with my hoard, then you might as well ask me for what you want. I need those prisms like yesterday, so anything I can do in order to make their retrieval successful, I will do. So what do you want?" Garudon asked, now in a humanoid form, but still looking like a threat with the way his body leaned over his chair.

"I need a really good ship, I will be hunting creatures with your level of power, or at least as close to your level of power as possible. I don't know what I would be walking into, so I need a ship that even you cant scratch or catch up to. Of course I doubt there's such a ship in existence, I can feel your power from here, it's immense, and if any of the targets have half as much power as you do, then I will need an insurance policy to use guerrilla tactics to bring them down."

It was cheap flattery on his part, but this was the first time he was meeting face to face with a dragon. Garudon had showed that he was not above the greed and pride that plagues most dragons and Cole wanted to take advantage of it, according to the legends at least.

"Well you are right about my immense power boy, but don't think I'm stupid. I'm not some old fool that you can butter up with sweet and honeyed words. I have something of value among my hoard that is to your specification. Except of course it will only be lent to you, and you will return it to me after the mission is complete, a Dragon Ship Is far above the likes of what you lesser creatures can manage. Anything else?" Garudon asked as Cole gave an amused smirk.

"Well I need money as I would need to hire a crew, a very specialized crew seeing as we would be going after Gold rank monsters. Then I need Peronico Porins and his family, all of them." the moment Cole finished the entire atmosphere seemed to become heavy, the volcano shook as Garudon shifted back into his full dragon form and dragged himself forwards, steam and fire escaping out of their clenched jaws.

"How do you know about Peronico Porins, my most prized possession among my hoard! Who are you? Who sent you?" Cole's expression did not even change, as he was standing face to face with death. Cole shrugged, not at all bothered as he leaned back,. not particularly fond of the dragon's breath and at the same time, Cole just needed to move his hand and touch the dragon was just two feet away and end this stalemate between the both of them.

"Answering your questions in the order with which you asked them. I heard about Peronico From the system, got a bit of an explanation from the captain that brought me here. I am Cole 'World Breaker' Raen…..Night. As for who sent me, I believe that would be the system. I have been tasked with delivering them to a safe location. In exchange for taking on your suicide mission, I want Peronico and his family

Since you're an aspirant I'm sure you can understand how these things work. The system would definitely have not given me this mission alone, and I'm among some of the weakest Gold rankers within my universe's aspirants. Give him to me, and you will have your prisms in three days."
