“Looks like something interesting is happening.” Jiang Yiyi watches Lion and his men leave for a few seconds before turning around to look for Ye Wang.

The man emerges from the prison officers and heads for Jiang Yiyi.

“Done reuniting with your old friend?”

“Lion’s group looks lively.”

Ye Wang glances at Lion, then informs him, “he is heading for Black Glove.”

Though he then asks Jiang Yiyi, “Doctor, you do remember your promise?” He glances at the folder Lin Yi is keeping, “when they do not come to you, you will keep your distance from them.”

Jiang Yiyi is slightly disappointed, but not so much he will break a promise.

Since he is expecting them to come to him eventually, no need to be hasty——That said, isn’t it a little strange to think like this?

Though when added to the list of ‘abnormal’ things about him, Jiang Yiyi finds he can’t even muster the energy to be emotional anymore.

There are times when he feels like questioning himself, even going philosophical by pondering ‘Who am I?’ Mostly, though, he has become used to this state of being.

Lin Yi glances in the direction of Lion, before turning to Jiang Yiyi. It is clear what he would like to do.

Jiang Yiyi stops daydreaming and nods, “Ye Wang will escort me. You can go…” Jiang Yiyi pauses before continuing, “see what they’re up to.”

Ye Wang does not object to being ordered around.

Lin Yi hurries to follow Lion.

“Doctor, you have been much more generous than I thought.” Ye Wang leads Jiang Yiyi away, “whether it was Lunatic, or Lin Yi, you seem quite forgiving.”

“Forgiving?” Jiang Yiyi refutes the word’s usage, “I don’t think that adjective is justified that when they have not done anything wrong.”

“If that is what you say, I would like to ask…” Ye Wang asks, “what did Lone Wolf do wrong?”

“It sounds like you are curious about me.”

“I think there is hardly anyone who is not curious about Doctor.”

“Is it because…” Most of the time, Jiang Yiyi’s words are devoid of any obvious tone. Occasionally, though, there is a sharpness to them, that spooks whoever is talking to him.

“My file does not make sense?”

Jiang Yiyi looks at Ye Wang’s face, “no need to look like that. I am not surprised at all.”

Ye Wang returns to a poker face soon enough.

“Perhaps, that is because a good command over one’s emotion is useless in front of Doctor?” Ye Wang retorts, “no one is able to hide their true feelings in front of you, is there?”

“Where in the world did that assumption come from?”

Jiang Yiyi asks Ye Wang genuinely, and notes he is slightly guilty beneath the calm face——Huh, how did he know he is feeling guilty?

As if it suddenly triggered something, a random, almost makeshift UI pops out. With standard font, it reads ‘Emotions Chart.’

There are now two big labels plastered over Ye Wang’s face, ‘Guilt,’ ‘Curiosity.’

Oi oi, for real?

This chart definitely only popped up when he had doubts about it, didn’t it?

It feels like the game is playing him for a fool.

Then, slowly, the labels shift and change. ‘Guilt,’ ‘Confusion,’ ‘Fear.’

Jiang Yiyi quickly retracts his gaze on Ye Wang.

He knows these even without looking at the chart anyway. The chart is distracting…

Hm. Wait. Jiang Yiyi turns to look at Lunatic instead.

The dissection diagram emerges first, listing the Vulnerabilities and best solutions for attacking.

Jiang Yiyi continues observing.

A few seconds later, the diagram fades. It does not mean that Jiang Yiyi can no longer access the Vulnerabilities——They have simply become knowledge he can use straight from his mind. He knows how to deal with Lunatic should he so choose.

Lunatic’s eyes swivel a little. Labels slowly emerge from the chart, ‘Confusion,’ ‘Emotions,’ ‘…’

Never mind the others, did it seriously just give him an ellipsis?

Jiang Yiyi blinks, and the chart disappears before his eyes. He returns to his normal, peaceful stance——Outside of the floating nicknames all around, the game’s System has concealed its presence once more.

Regardless, the issues have mounted to a degree he can no longer ignore.

Jiang Yiyi is thinking. Then, between investigating, and stopping for now, he chooses the latter.

It is an easy choice. He does not even question his choice for a single second——The answer is clear as day.

It is not time yet.

“Just like how Doctor was looking at me.” Ye Wang only answers after some time, when Jiang Yiyi appears to have resumed his business-like demeanour, “a gaze that was piercingly sharp, like an X-ray, an autopsy of my entire self…”

“I suppose, everyone is as good as naked under the Doctor’s eyes?” Ye Wang concludes, “mentally, and physically.”

“I do suppose that’s a fair observation.” The diagram and chart, still fresh in Jiang Yiyi’s memory, compel him to agree, “so, how far along are your analyses on me?”

“Not much progress. There have been countless conflicting conclusions regarding motive and actions taken. We are unable to construct a coherent criminal profile at all.”

“Sounds gruelling. My sympathies.”

“If Doctor is willing to offer some guidance, we would be truly grateful.”

Jiang Yiyi thinks for a few seconds, “although you are likely to disregard this, the only advice I can offer…” Jiang Yiyi pauses, then gestures towards the cell door to Ye Wang, who is wholly committed to listening right now.

Ye Wang opens the door, and after Jiang Yiyi and Lunatic enters, he shuts it.

“Is that, when judging my stance, assume one thing. Assume that I am a good person.”

Ye Wang’s face is truly a work of art when he said this, rivalling how Lin Yi looked for the same. Truly a look worthy for the history books.
