A chorus of "Yes, I will behave", went around the room, resulting in the tension starting to go from the room.

About two hours later, accompanied by Bronwyn, John started walking his parents towards their car. When they reached the parking lot, John said "Mum, Dad, there is one thing that I need to tell you about. I had hoped that you would have attended the ceremony today at the military base, meaning that this was unnecessary, but you did not…"

Sophia and Harry looked at each other before Harry said "We did not think it was appropriate."
