Chapter 341 - Don't want to see your face

A few minutes later, the door was opened and out came a very furious Tian Le. When Han Ye saw him and thought about what he walked into earlier, he could not help but chuckle slightly, and he immediately regretted that.

"We agreed that I would keep the door unlocked only if you guys knocked!" Tian Le glared at Han Ye as he pointed out the agreement from when they first moved here and before Tian Le moved schools.

At that time, Tian Le was still uncomfortable sleeping in a house with two men that he barely knew, so he always kept his door locked... until one day when he got sick at night that no one knew anything about. Thankfully, Han Ye had the spare key and managed to send Tian Le to the hospital before the fever burned him silly.

After that, they made that agreement.

"I'm sorry..." Han Ye mumbled as he tried to avoid looking at the teenager.

"What do you want?!" Tian Le snapped. He had been in a little frustrated mood lately, what's with his girlfriend constantly tempting him at school and him wanted to uphold his little gentleman's image. Just as he wanted to settle it off himself, a big goofball walked in on him, thus completely took away his desire to "settle".

Han Ye scratched the back of his head and mumbled, "Erm, I just want to ask if you can stay with Zhihao tonight... Xiao Lei... She, um, would be staying over tonight."

"You walked in on me to kick me out of the house so that you can have--"

"We are not doing anything!" Han Ye immediately pointed it out and interrupted him. He then cleared his throat while wondering why he had to justify himself to a teenager. "We just wanted to give Zhihao some time. Knowing Xiao Lei, she wouldn't be able to stop herself from checking on Zhihao, and I don't think wanted to be checked on by his mother at the moment."

"I just came back from their place not long ago. What am I going to say to Zhihao?"

"Erm..." Han Ye suggested, "A sleepover game night?"

"He's not that big of a gaming fan."

"Then make him one. I'm sure you have an idea," Han Ye said. He reached over to pat Tian Le on the shoulder, but when the teenager glared at him, he immediately stopped himself from doing so. "So... Deal?"

"Fine! I don't want to see your face anyway..." Tian Le replied before going back into his room to pack some stuff, mostly games. He then glanced at his photo and wondered if she was asleep.

Meanwhile, Han Ye went back to his room to take a quick shower. In order not to have any mishap later, he decided to "settle" himself off as well. Once he was done showering and changing, he stood at one end of his room and looked around. He then proceeded to change his bedsheets to a clean set, even though he had just changed them a few days ago.

When he heard the knock coming from the front door door, he quickly sprayed his room with some air freshener before going out and opening the door.

"Hey..." he greeted with a smile the moment he saw his visitor. Xiao Lei was standing in front of the door with a shy expression. She was wearing her pajamas, a simple black shirt and a pair of red shorts. "I should get you some proper pajamas next time..." Han Ye said as he moved aside to let her walk past him.

Xiao Lei looked at her attire and protested, "I look great in this..."

"You do," Han Ye comforted her. He then said in a low voice, "I was thinking that we can have those couple pajamas... like those youngsters."

His teasing words caused her to blush again, and she quickly pushed past him to enter the house, bumping into Tian Le in the way. "Hi, Tian Le... I heard about what happened earlier. Thanks for taking care of Zhihao."

Tian Le smiled and shrugged. "It's no big deal. We are friends, after all. Have you seen him?"

Xiao Lei shook her head. She wanted to when she went home earlier. In fact, she stood in front of Zhihao's door for a long time before forcing herself to walk away. She knew that Han Ye was right. If she were to see her son now, she would be unable to stop herself from fussing over him. Thus, after much effort, she tore herself away from his room and went to take a cold shower to cool herself down.

Tian Le looked at her and asked, "Everything alright? Look, if my brother dares to do anything to you without your permission, just yell and Brother Ziyan would go and save you... Or you can also kick him in the balls."

"Hey!" Han Ye frowned as his legs moved closer to each other. "I'm a gentleman too, you know."

"A gentleman who doesn't know how to knock," Tian Le grumbled before waving goodbye to Xiao Lei. On his way out, he purposely bumped into Han Ye and stepped on the man's foot before walking out the door.

"F..." Han Ye swallowed the pain and curse and gave Xiao Lei a "teenager, right?" look as he reached over to lock the door. "Let's go," he said as he signaled her to move further into the house.

Xiao Lei merely raised an eyebrow at him before walking into his bedroom straight. Even though she did not know what happened earlier, she knew that Tian Le was not an unreasonable teenager, so whatever it was, it was probably Han Ye's fault.

"Where's Ziyan?" Xiao Lei asked as she sat on the bed.

"Out on a date with An Xin," Han Ye replied. "Hold on..."

He quickly ran over to the kitchen and brought two cans of melon tea from the fridge.

"Melon tea?" Xiao Lei asked as she looked at the can that he handed her. "I didn't expect a house full of guys would have something like this."

"Except for Tian Le, we are quite... mature," Han Ye said, clearly refusing to admit that he was already old. "Besides, we have to make sure that Tian Le doesn't drink soft drinks constantly, so we keep something healthy around as well."

"This is still a canned drink..." Xiao Lei pointed out.

"Well, we are still a house full of men," Han Ye retorted as he sat down on the bed next to her with his can tightly held between his hands.

Both of them were like untried teenagers, sitting around in silence while trying to think of what to do next. After a long moment of awkward silence, Han Ye moved to lay down on his usual side of the bed.

With a somewhat embarrassed expression, he patted the pillow next to him. "Here..."
