Chapter 382 - Karate Moves

Lu Fang and Hanxi arrived home early in the afternoon. Hanxi went straight to his room to get changed while the man went in search of his family. He did not find his wife or any of his children. He went to the garden and found nobody either. He went back to the living room, but no one was there.

He went to the kitchen and found two of the maids cleaning up. He asked, "Where are the Mrs. and the children?"

"Good afternoon, Mr. Lu. They are at the back of the mansion."

The man frowned, expecting his wife to welcome him after a tiring day at work. Andrea had preferred to stay home for the past few days. Thus, he felt rather lonely back at his office. He was looking forward to some love and care.

He went to the training area and started to hear his wife's voice. "Okay, everybody has to make an oath now before we start… Follow after me."

The children echoed their mother's words with difficulty, making it their official oath for their practice. While giving the words, Andrea had to repeat herself a few times for the twins to get everything right in small chunks.

Andrea: "I promise"

Twins: "I promise."

Andrea: "Not to use martial arts"

Twins: "Not to use martial arts."

Andrea: "On my friends and family."

Chevre: "On my friends and family."

Brie: "Mommy? Family is mommy and daddy?"

Andrea: "Yes, Brie, including Angela, your aunts, uncles, and your grandparents."

Andrea: "Let's do this again…on my friends and family."

Brie: "On my friends and family."

Chevre: "Let's do it again."

Andrea giggled but did not want to repeat it anymore. She simply continued. "Only bad guys."

Twins: "Only bad guys."

Andrea turned to the children and to the maids before chuckling and said, " And to whoever tries to steal my daddy!"

Brie's eyes grew wide, and she yelled, "Steal daddy! No! My daddy!"

Chevre turned to his sister, yelling, "No! My daddy!"

Andrea nodded, feeling assured they are as possessive as her when it came to their daddy. She said, "That's the spirit guys! Hold on tight to your daddy!"

Aunt Rosa shook her head, and Lu Fang did the same, hearing Andrea's proposed oath.

Many of the household was there, giving laughs here and there, including aunt Rosa's family. They wanted to see the Mrs. in action and watch the twins try. Some helpers also followed, encouraging the children to follow their mother, including aunt Rosa's daughter.

Andrea had finally decided to teach the twins martial arts.

Before getting started, she suggested for them to do a simple warmup for the kids to follow, merely raising their arms in different directions and some stretching.

When they were done with the warmup, she began with some basic moves, "Okay, kids. Put your feet wide like this… and every time we make a move say hiya!"

Andrea: "Repeat after me. Hiya!"

Twins: "Hiya!"

Andrea: "Okay, right leg back. Hiya!"

Twins: "Hiya!"

Andrea: "At the count of one, switch feet. Hiya!"

Twins: "Hiya!"

Andrea was in front of the twins, showing how it was done. She gave a few more moves but when she noticed that they were no longer giving their "hiyas"; she turned only to find them squatting on the floor.

Seeing his mommy look at him, Chevre immediately raised his feet while still sitting down, exclaiming, "Hiya!"

Brie just giggled and said, "He's so funny!"

However, after noticing that Andrea was frowning she too said, "Hiya?"

While everyone else laughed at the twins, Andrea was disappointed. She realized she had made it easy on them, not having trained much earlier.

"Babe, what are you doing? They are still toddlers!" Lu Fang said while walking to her direction.

"I started training much younger - or at least that was what I was told," said Andrea, putting her hands on her waist.

The man wrinkled his nose as soon as he heard her reasoning. He pulled her over, saying, "Babe, you are four months pregnant… and their attention span last no longer than ten minutes."

Andrea glared at him, saying, "but, babe. It's best that they start young."

Lu Fang could sense the stubbornness of his wife that he said, "Okay. okay. We can start teaching them, but only a little for now while you are pregnant. Also, since I am leaving for France tomorrow, you are going to have to wait until I come back."

He turned to the twins before looking back at his frowning wife. He said, "But, let me do the teaching for now."

He walked towards Chevre and Brie saying, "kids. From now on, for you to get what you want, you have to use your karate moves."

The man set apart his legs and showed them a simple kick. He said, "Chevre, this means ice cream! Hiya! Ice cream!"

"Hiya! Ice cream!" Yelled Chevre as he tried to simulate the kick.

He then showed a single punch, saying, "Brie, this is yogurt! Hiya!"

Brie cheered before she followed her daddy, exclaiming, "Yogurt! Hiya!"

"A double punch is chicken nuggets! Hiya!"

They both clapped happily, yelling, "Chicken nuggets! Hiya!"

Everyone behind them went hysterical at some point while Andrea was taken aback by her husband's unique style of teaching the kids a few karate steps. However, she had to admit it; they were more eager to learn compared to her earlier means.

The man repeated the steps a few more times before proceeding to blocking.

"Chevre, this is pancake! Hiya!" said the man, showing an inside block.

" Pancake! Hiya!"

"Brie, this is strawberry shake! Hiya!" Lu Fang said, referring to an outside block.

"Shake! Hiya!"

After their practice, aunt Rosa and the helpers got ready for dinner while the couple brought back the twins to their room to get changed. Just before their nurse helped them to take their afternoon bath, the twins called out to them.

"Daddy! Daddy!" Chevre said. He suddenly gave a double punch. "Hiya!" Then he threw in a hick. "Hiya!"

Brie, on the other hand, only had one request. She gave an outside block. "Hiya!"

Andrea gulped and pulled down her husband by the arm. She whispered, "What was that again?"

He whispered back, saying, "Chicken nuggets and ice cream for Chevre and strawberry shake for Brie."

"Phew! Right. Gotta remember that!" said Andrea.

"I'll give you a list just to be sure."

"Yep! You should."
