Chapter 275 - Marry Me Today

"Dad, I'm feeling nervous. How - How could you be in on this? Am I assuming things? I feel like - I feel like my wedding day came without - without me realizing it. Is this for real?" Andrea said while fanning her eyes with her hands, trying her best to hold back the tears.

"I'm sorry, Andy. I thought that it was a very good plan, your husband had."

"Andy, you look very beautiful. Like a princess - "Alfred interrupted himself, sobbing. He was overjoyed this day would come and he could walk her down the aisle. "I - I am so happy for you, Andy. All the trials that you and Lu Fang had both overcome, you both deserve the most fascinating wedding."

Andrea and Afren stood behind a customized wooden castle door. This same door was attached to the man-made wall that surrounded the gardens of the hotel. It was primarily made of plywood, painted in weather stoned design.

She heard her dad ask, "Are you ready, Andy?"

Taking a deep breath, she said, "I don't know… but a big part of me has been looking forward to this day."

After which she heard Arti radio from behind her, "Mrs. Lu is about to enter the door, please be ready."

This made Andrea glared at her assistant with feisty eyes but quickly changed her expression realizing she would not be able to say no to her husband either way.

"Mrs. Lu, here is your bouquet," Arti said extending the gorgeously arranged flowers in her hand.

Andrea saw a girl hand over to her assistant the dominantly very light green flower bouquet with specks of purple and white to it. It made her smile knowing her husband knew for certain how much she appreciated the main color.

Her hands turned cold and her heart felt like it was ready to jump out of her. She was tense, at the same time, she was astounded. She held on to her dad's arm as the door slowly opened, revealing the beautiful floral arrangement that was kept hidden from wall replica.

As the father and daughter took two to three steps inside the fenced venue, Cinderella's song, A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes was played.

The crew that followed Andrea slowly dispersed into the venue as they follow their designated tasks.

Andrea was taken aback by the number of guests around. There were roughly three hundred guests while she only knew a handful. She knew it was hard to keep the number of guests at a minimum, considering connections of the Lus. Nevertheless, intimate or not, she could not contain her excitement.

The crowd stood up and gave the bride a gentle clap as she and her dad continue to walk down the garden aisle. At that point, Andrea felt her eyes were ready to cry again. She studied the surroundings and thought it was just perfect.

The guest area was framed with steel grills where flowers draped over them generously, motif'd with different shades of green and purple and accented with white roses or lilies. In front was a huge castle backdrop which was equal to nearly three floors high. The edges were neatly cut out enhancing the make-believe castle.

While appreciating the set-up, Andrea suddenly felt petals falling upon her. She was so overwhelmed that she did not realize little Mei-Mei was already in front of her throwing green and purple rose petals in her direction.

She smiled outright at the sight of her niece showing off the most delightful grin. She heard her give her greeting, "Happy Wedding Auntie! I hope you love it!"

It was perfectly clear to her what was going on. She was having her wedding day, and she had no idea about it, yet it was so wonderful.

Turning to the sides, she saw familiar faces. Some were executives at Lu-Wei Enterprises and were from the Xia side.

One other little girl helped Xia Mei flower the red carpet as Andrea continued to walk towards the front. Cinderella's song remained to play until reaching half of the area where she was to walk. The tune suddenly changed to a more romantic one, she swore she heard the man say to her.

"Not sure if you know this

But when we first met

I got so nervous I couldn't speak

In that very moment

I found the one and

My life had found its missing piece

So as long as I live I love you

Will have and hold you

You look so beautiful in white

And from now 'til my very last breath

This day I'll cherish

You look so beautiful in white"

It was a song by Shane Filan and as Andrea continued to walk, she finally recalled the day of Lu Fang's official proposal. How she slowly walked in the sandbank picking up pieces of roses and hearing her man say, "Andy, you look so beautiful in white… Will you do me the honor of being my woman, my love and my wife for the rest of your life?"

She knew she already loved her husband, but recalling the day of his official proposal, it made her earnestly want to see and kiss him.

Looking past the crowd, she did not find him. Instead, she saw her siblings in the front rows.

Anton Yeong and Yanmei were with the Yeongs. Seated next to them were Hanxi and Han-joon. Li Wen was with her family, including Xia Ting's father and brother. Her heart filled with warmth seeing those that she truly cared for were present on this day, which was apparently her special day.

She saw Gabriel not too far away but merely gave him a smile. He also seemed happy for her.

Finally, she spotted her in-laws, Lu Jie and the rest of the Lus at the front-most row, but still, there was no Lu Fang.

The song had already ended and her direct family came up and hugged her. They gave their wishes before the ceremony would begin officially. It was only when Lu Jie was finished by giving his words to Andrea when the man finally showed up.

He was wearing a Disney suit, but unlike the actual Cinderella prince attire, her husband was in pure white with a golden collar, buttons, accents, and belt.

Tears fell down her cheek again and Lu Fang was quick to wipe them away. His eyes were also trying to hold it in, seeing his wife ever so exquisite in her wedding dress.

Just for the two of them to hear, the man sang again the last lines of the song.

"So as long as I live I love you

Will have and hold you

You look so beautiful in white

And from now 'til my very last breath

This day I'll cherish

You look so beautiful in white"

"Babe, I love you until my very last breath. Will you marry me today?"

Although her eyes were wet, Andrea managed to roll them before responding, "How can anyone say no."
