Chapter 110 - A Vow of Marriage

Mrs. Lu guided the couple to the seats opposite to where they were and after settling down she opted to order food before explaining the whole truth to them.

Both Lu Fang and Andrea were beyond curious that they both were staring straight into the eyes of their parents hoping to get a hint.

Christina sat in between Lu Wei and Alfred. She held her brother's hand and just as she was about to speak, her son questioned her actions. "Mom, dad is beside you, why are you holding Mr. David's hand?"

Alfred did not also escape Andrea's glaring eyes seeing how they were holding hands.

The three adults laughed in unison making the couple even more confused.

"Lu Fang, Andy, we are family – "

Lu Fang interrupted Christina while trying to agree to her statement, "Of course! When Andy and I get married, it will be official."

"And we are very excited about that!" Said, Alfred.

"Son! This may come as a surprise to you but… both of you are practically cousins!" Mrs. Lu announced with excitement while the couple was horrified!

Lu Wei and Alfred laughed at the reaction coming from Lu Fang and Andrea. Uknown to them, the brother and sister had already agreed to give the couple a scare.

"Mother! What is going on? This is not a funny joke!" Demanded the man.

Seeing the worry on their faces, Christina finally decided to get to the point. "Alfred is my elder brother. I am also a Davies."

"…"

They were astonished to learn how it all went and how Christina had decided not to use her maiden name after leaving the Davies family.

Andrea understood well how unreasonable Grandfather Davies was. He was, after all, the same person who had turned her into Amaryllis Red. She then recalled the conversation with her future mother-in-law back in the office and felt the pain of her sacrifices.

Alfred had mentioned her sister to Andrea when she was much younger but as time flew, he became occupied with the Davies Empire that he no longer had the luxury to think of Christina. Thus, she herself had no recollection of her father having a sibling.

Lu Fang was still absorbing everything when his mother reached out for his hand. "Son, I may have left my real family, but I made a hell of a good one. You and Lu Wei, you are both my happiness, but now, being reunited with my brother, I feel that this is an added blessing."

Christina then turned to the person next to him and said, "Andy, if you did not come into our lives, this would not be happening. You are a blessing to us – "

Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted with sobs. She was overwhelmed with everything that had happened. To think she had started with questioning Andrea's status an intention. As it turns out, she would bring her family together.

When all the doubts have been cleared and all the questions have been answered, they finally had their dinner. The mood inside the private room lightened. All of them knew that this reunion will change their lives for the better.

"Oh… and guess what else I found out you two?" Christina directed her statement towards Lu Fang and Andrea. Her eyes were twinkling with excitement. Hoping to surprise them with her next revelation.

"What mom?" Asked the man as he was wiping his mouth with a table napkin.

Christina looked at Alfred who was already nodding while raising his brows, also looking forward to the couple's reaction.

"You two, have already met when you were kids!"

Lu Fang, "…"

Andrea, "What? When?"

"Fang, do you remember the time I often brought you to Europe for a vacation during the summer?"

"Yes, mom. I remember."

"Do you remember the very last summer we spent in that house across the huge white mansion?"

"Yes, mom, I remember it well."

Christina raised a brow waiting for Lu Fang's memory to come rushing back. "What else do you remember on that very last summer?"

"Ahhh… I met a young girl who played with me the entire week."

"Ahah!" Exclaimed Christina. She practically jumped from her seat and while clapping her hands before giving another clue, "Son, the mansion across belonged to your uncle." She turned to Alfred before adding, "that was Alfred's mansion!"

Lu Fang placed a hand on his chin before finally realizing what his mother was referring to. "No!!! No way!"

His serious face suddenly turned mischievous as he looked towards Andrea's direction. She was still at a loss, unsure of what was her involvement in this part of the truth.

The man pulled her chair closer to his. He then placed an arm around her and said, "As it turns out… my dearest Andy… you stole my first kiss!"

Andrea, "!!!"

She immediately turned to her foster father for an explanation.

"Andy, do you remember that wooden locket pendant that you used to carry around when you were ten years old? You told me that a boy across the street had given it to you and that you would marry him one day… that could have only been Lu Fang!"

The siblings giggled, thrilled and ecstatic thinking that their children had already vowed to marry each other since they were young.

Andrea's fingers were covering her mouth while looking down at the table, seemingly searching from a pile of memories. That was when she remembered the locket pendant she had bought before and how it was so familiar to her.

She looked up to her man recalling the story of their first kiss and realized, the image she saw was not imagination. It was a memory of her little self-coming up to a boy and kissing him on the lips!

Lu Fang pulled her even closer and kissed her cheek deeply then whispered to her ears. "I love you, Andy. No wonder I never looked at other women the way I look at you. You had already asked my hand in marriage when we were kids."

Her face turned bright red! Somehow, she felt ashamed. All the while, she thought this man had pursued her well, but apparently, she was the one who made the first move!
