Chapter 301 - Naming The Twins

Tanaga headed straight to Grandma Hanada's room after fleeing Ashley's room. Since it was adjacent to each other and only a couple of steps away, the Gusman family didn't see him while they walked in the hallway and happily chatting.

When the door opened, Ashley thought it was Tanaga who came back. Therefore, she immediately wiped her tears and closed her eyes. She was pretending that she was resting.

"Oh, it looks like ma'am Ashley is asleep," Inday said in a low tone right after entering the room.

Everybody looked at her direction when they heard what Inday had said. When they saw that her eyes were shut and look like she is sleeping, they carefully tipped-toe and walk inside, afraid of disturbing her.

One by one, they all sat down on the sofa while Mrs. Gusman fixed the sheet that covering her daughter, afraid that she might be cold. After tucking Ashley in carefully, she gently brushed a fallen hair on Ashley's face before giving her a light kiss on her forehead.

"Rest, my child... I know you worked hard. Don't worry about the babies; we will keep an eye on them." Mrs. Gusman whispered gently to her ears. She then pulled a chair next to her daughter's bed and sat down.

Ashley, who was pretending to sleep, hears and feels everything that's happening inside the room. However, she doesn't want to open her eyes, alerting everyone. She's afraid that she might burst into tears right in front of her family. If that happens, who knows what they would do to Tanaga.

Five minutes later, Mr. Gusman arrived with a sad-looking face and empty-handed. The twins were not with him, and everyone became apprehended.

"Dad, where are my nephews?" Arnold asked while others were also waiting for his answer.

Mr. Gusman walked beside Mrs. Gusman before replying with sadness in his eyes.

"The babies were currently brought to Grandma Hanada's room to see them for herself." Mr. Gusman said while his face was showing disappointment.

When Ashley heard what Mr. Gusman said and how his voice sounded so sad, tears began to cascade down on her beautiful face.

She's trying to imagine how happy they must be. Tanaga and Grandma Hanada must be enjoying the company of the twins, without her.

Ashley suddenly pitied her family, who was sadly waiting for their time to see the babies.

Meanwhile, if the Gusman was sad, it was the opposite of what grandma Hanada and Tanaga feel at that moment while each of them was holding one child.

"Tanaga, look, the eyes of my great-grandson are open, hahaha!" Grandma Hanada said, smiling from ear to ear.

"By the way, have you thought of a name for the kids? I was informed that they need it for birth registration. Also, we need to give it to the lawyer to include in our family registry." Grandma Hanada asked Tanaga, who was looking outside the window, holding one of his sons.

Tanaga didn't answer, and it made Grandma Hanada frowned as she came towards and elbowed him.

"What are you thinking, and you're spacing out? I keep on talking here, did you even hear me?"

"Nothing, really. I only thought if what I did was right. She might be disgusted in me now, but I also did it for her." Tanaga mumble to himself.

"What did you say to her? You know that I have a hearing problem, so speak louder. I can't hear your voice."

Tanaga didn't tell the truth to his Grandmother, knowing she would be upset is she found out what had happened in Ashley's room.

"I said, if your discharge paper is finished, let's get out of here so we could fly back to Japan. The further I'm away from them, the better." After what he said, he put down the baby he's carrying on the crib.

Grandma Hanada's eyes widened on what she heard.

"What do you mean that we're going back to Japan? I know it's not safe for them to go back to Japan, so I'm planning to stay here. If you want to leave, then go! But don't force me to go with you. I'll stay here with my great-grandsons." Then she grimaced at Tanaga.

Tanaga shook his head because she still hasn't seen the new contract that he and Ashley signed minutes ago.

The contract states that Ashley needs to stay in America for a whole two years. In those two years, she can't visit or go back to the Philippines and Japan because it's dangerous for the children.

Tanaga won't put an end to their marriage until the children are safe in his custody. He gave Ashley two whole years to prepare herself to leave the children in exchange for 20 million dollars.

He intentionally acted in front of Ashley because he knew she wouldn't sign the new contract if he treated her softly. That's why he acted like that while he's still not fully recovered.

While Tanaga was in deep thought, butler Ruffy entered the room with a sad-looking face. He slowly walked towards grandma Hanada and whispered.

After butler Ruffy said everything he had to say, the Chairwoman just nodded, "Tanaga, Ashley was waiting for the twins. Why don't you go there and visit her with your sons?"

"Okay, uncle Ruffy, take the kids and bring it there. It is better if they won't see me right now because I don't know how to act in front of them." Tanaga said, still looking outside the window while his mind is wandering.

When butler Ruffy heard Tanaga, he immediately went out and called the two nurses waiting outside.

The nurses take the twins and deliver it to their mommy's room to see them and butler Ruffy follows them.

After butler Ruffy leaves with the twins, Tanaga sits beside grandma Hanada and gives her the envelope where the signed contract is placed.

Grandma Hanada was confused at what Tanaga handed to her. With wide eyes, she asked. "What is this? Don't tell me this is the divorce paper and the contract you two signed before? Tanaga, don't tell me that you haven't changed your mind yet? It's absurd if you asked me." Tears began to form and about to fall.

Tanaga was about to answer, but his head started to ache like it'll be broken apart into two.

"Ahhhh!!"

Tanaga's bodyguards heard his scream and swiftly came. However, as they entered the room, Tanaga's vision began to blur, and darkness enveloped him before passing out on the ground.
