The senior number is on the original cell phone Jun-Kyung used. He decided to go upstairs to organize the bedroom.

Instead of using the elevator, he took the stairs to the upper floor. To get to the bedroom from there, he has to walk past  the study. For some reason, the door to the study was wide open. Sensing the presence of people, Executive Director Min naturally cast his gaze toward the door.

“What’s the matter?”

“Oh, I came to the bedroom to find something.” Jun-Kyung nodded shyly and went back down to the living room to find the phone. He didn’t want to reveal the details of the call.

“Oh gosh.” Since it had not been used for a long time, the phone was naturally discharged. The problem is that the charger is upstairs, specifically in the bedroom.

He went up again. Going up and down the stairs was difficult nowadays, whether that’d be because he has a personal driver or because of pregnancy hormones.

Even if it wasn’t, he was worried that his physical strength would decrease rapidly, so Jun-Kyung decided to use the stairs. It was a little harder than he thought. When he passes in front of the study, he tries to be careful so as to not  disturb Executive Director Min and hold his breath.

“Jun-Kyung?”

“A charger.”

While looking for a charger in the bedroom, Executive Director Min came out of the study. Jun-Kyung found the charger and held it up.

He went back to the living room, plugged in the charger, and turned on his phone. He was looking for the number of his seniors but suddenly had a question. Can he invite his friends to the wedding? If invited, he should probably ask how many people are possible.

“Sigh.”

Jun-Kyung let out a sigh. He gave up on the stairs and pressed the elevator button. His body felt more at ease, but his heart felt heavier than before.

Ding!

Today, the light alarm sound of the elevator was loud. The elevator door, which was quite slow to respond because it was for home use, slowly opened. At the same time, he found Executive Director Min coming out of the study. It was embarrassing that the same situation unfolded again.

“I’m sorry to keep interrupting you.”

“I was going to take a break because I ran out of coffee anyway.” There was no cup in Director Min’s hand as he said so. “What do you need this time?”

“I have something to ask you.” Regarding Jun-Kyung’s opinion of inviting guests, Executive Director Min had no particular disagreement.

“Do what you feel comfortable with. If there are a lot of people, we can add more seats. Decide how many invitations to send out and consult it with mother.”

Executive Director Min replied as he brewed coffee in a new cup in the kitchen on the first floor. Jun-Kyung’s share was cocoa with plenty of marshmallows.

Executive Director Min went up to the second floor again. Returning to the living room, Jun-kyung sent a message to the senior he had marked earlier while waiting for Cocoa to cool down. Instead of talking about sudden business, he first asked if the senior had time these days, and the answer came right away.

His senior asked Jun-Kyung why he hadn’t heard from him these days and that he called a while ago with no answer. Jun-Kyung was a little flustered and said he couldn’t answer because he was a little busy. When asked what he was doing these days, Jun-Kyung said that he was preparing to get married.

[Are you at work?]

[No, I am not working yet.]

Then the call came right away. Jun-Kyung answered on accident.

─ Are you not working these days? You quit before and you are still taking a break?

“Yes, that’s what happened.”

─ Then you have a lot of time.

Then, the senior asked for some help with his work. He was in charge of the entire big event, but he lacked experienced people. He said Jun-Kyung was the right person, and that he would pay generously.

“Oh, I think I am in a little trouble.”

─ Why? You say you have nothing to do?

“That’s true, but I’m in a situation where if I go to work…. Ugh!”

During the phone call, Jun-Kyung was frightened. That is because Executive Director Min suddenly appeared in the living room with a laptop.

‘Continue the call.’

After saying that, Executive Director Min opened his laptop on the sofa table. Then, he sat down on a seat one space away from Jun-Kyung. Looking at the screen on which something like a drawing was drawn with difficult English, he wrote something with an electronic pen on the pad he was using instead of a notebook.

─ Jun-Kyung Ho? What happened? Should I hang up? Did you drop the phone?

“No, I am listening.”

Jun-Kyung turned around and lowered his voice.

─ So you can’t work?

“Yes, I will call you back later.” When he’s not home.

─ Okay. Aside from work, you haven’t been in touch lately. Call me often.

“Yes, I understand. Bye, hyung.”

The moment he finished the call and looked up, he made eye contact with Executive Director Min, who was staring at him. He was so shocked he almost fell.

“Who is it?”

“A senior I know.”

“‘Senior?”

“Yes. He’s a senior in the security department, and I contact him often.”

“Hmm.” Jun-Kyung doesn’t know what he didn’t like, but the way he looked at Jun-kyung wasn’t nice. He looks blunt and cold, and there was a light irritation on top of it.

“What’s the matter?”

“Nothing.”

As if he didn’t want to say anything, Director Min looked at the pad again. The table with the laptop was low, so he naturally leaned his upper body forward. As he looked at the pad, he furrowed his brow and scrawled the tip of the electronic pen widely.

Then, he casually threw the pad onto the marble table and tapped the keys while looking at the laptop. Then he picked up the pad again and scrolled the screen with his long fingers. He is  intimidating even when he is still. It was the same movement as usual, but strangely, the air is frozen.

‘Obviously something is wrong.’

As Jun-Kyung quenched his thirst with lukewarm cocoa, he noticed Executive Director Min. The cocoa has cooled down quite a bit. While measuring the time and distance to run away to the kitchen on the pretext of reheating it, Executive Director Min suddenly opened his mouth.

“By the way, why is he your hyung?” It was a comfortable tone, as if he was suddenly thinking about it and asking.

“Yes?”

At first Jun-Kyung had no idea what the context was. Executive Director Min slowly turned his head, and his eyes glowed with a cold light. Jun-Kyung was caught off guard by the ice storm blazed in the form of blue flames.

“I heard that he is your senior in the department.”

Only then did Jun-Kyung realize that he was talking about the senior he just spoke on the phone.

“Because you are close? Do you call everyone hyung if you’re close?”

“Most of the time. I can’t call you oppa because I am a man.”

Jun-Kyung added a joke to ease the argument. Executive Director Min, who thought deeply, nodded his head as if he understood.

“Then, how close will you have to be….”

“The cocoa is cold, so I am going to warm it up. Can I get you some more coffee, Executive Director Min?”

Thinking that he wouldn’t be able to call Hyun-Seung hyung even after death, he grabbed the ball and called him Executive Director Min in the brightest but firm tone possible. His opponent’s expression was distorted.

“It’s fine.”

“Then just mine.” Jun-Kyung smiled and went to the kitchen. Sighing inwardly, he placed the Coco cup in the microwave.

“Give it to me.”

At some point, Executive Director Min approached Jun-Kyung and stretched out his arm from behind him. Soon, his long, solid arms wrapped around Jun-kyung’s waist, and a strong chest touched Jun-Kyung’s back. Perhaps because of the aftermath of the bonding shock, even when Director Min acted inappropriately, Jun-Kyung felt calm rather than offended.

While the microwave dropped, a large hand came over and cupped Jun-Kyung’s cheek. When he turned his head to the gentle yet irresistible force, Director Min kissed him. The faint aroma of coffee spread in his mouth.

Ding!

The microwave stopped. At the same time, Executive Director Min’s lips fell off. When he opened his reflexively closed eyes, a nice mask filled his field of vision.

“How’s the bonding shock?”

“I think I’m fine now.”

“I am almost done with my urgent work today. Now I can fully focus on you. Shall I hug you?”

Aren’t you already hugging me? And I am feeling okay now, so you don’t have to. Jun-Kyung tried to talk back like this, but he shut his mouth. Judging by the seriousness of the opponent’s expression, it seemed that the energy of a Siberian tiger would surge into the house if he does reply like that.

Nothing good would come out of his mouth now, so he just nodded. He was taken to the sofa in the living room without a chance to grab his hot cocoa.

Executive Director Min’s demeanor was sticky, so Jun-Kyung thought he would do something strange in broad daylight. However, Director Min cutely wanted Jun-Kyung to sit on his lap. As soon as he sat with his legs neatly gathered, Executive Director Min hugged his torso tightly, then placed his lips on his neck and bit slightly, leaving a faint mark.

“How was the person you dated before?”

“The person I dated?”

Was he dating someone he didn’t know about? When Jun-Kyung asked back, Executive Director Min looked up.

“You said I wasn’t the first one?”

“Ahhh.” He’d completely forgotten to cover it up. When he belatedly nodded in affirmation, Executive Director Min’s eyes narrowed. He stared at Jun-Kyung’s face as if searching. Jun-Kyung’s heart raced for no reason.

In fact, it doesn’t matter anymore if he say that Director Min is the only person he has officially dated or pretended to date, but he had a strong hunch that if he tell the truth right now, he’ll end up in a bad situation.

“But why is that all of a sudden…?”

“No, I was just curious.”

“What’s there to be curious about? We dated so long ago that I can’t remember his name or face anymore.” Jun-Kyung was afraid that he would ask specifically, so he deliberately said it.

“I guess there were so many that you couldn’t remember them all, right?”

Executive Director Min barked with a serious attitude. Jun-Kyung laughed out loud because he was dumbfounded.

“You can think of it like that.”

“Is it for real?” A laser was fired from the eyes of a moron when it comes to a certain area. He was so sincere that Jun-Kyung’s heart to mess around disappeared.

“Are you seriously asking?”

Executive director Min, who had been silently examining Jun-Kyung’s complexion, realized that it was a joke. Jun-Kyung really wondered how a person who cared so much about the past could accept someone else’s child even though it was from a younger sibling.

However, the time for serious questions and answers had to be postponed until later. It was because Executive Director Min’s hand, unable to understand the complicated human mind, entered the T-shirt.
