“Oh my.”

At the same time as madam exclaimed, the frantic Jun-Kyung couldn’t help but look at the doctor.

What do you mean, love sickness? Even if the person concerned is sick, how could she say such an irresponsible thing? He wanted to argue to not say anything without knowing what was going on, but he couldn’t. It was because Executive Director Min also reflexively tried to turn his head that way.

Executive Director Min had to look only at himself. Jun-Kyung doesn’t know what’s going on, but  felt that urge and couldn’t suppress it at all.

This time, he turned Hyun-Seung’s head very roughly towards him. Executive Director Min’s eyes were shaken more than before, and Jun-Kyung was embarrassed as well.

“You saw that? Don’t turn your eyes away from me.”

“Oh my.” After the attending physician and nurses left, madam watched Jun-Kyung and Director Min for a while and sighed softly.

Two hours later, he was discharged in the arms of Executive Director Min. Even in the car heading home, he was sitting on Executive Director Min’s lap the entire time and didn’t enter the house on his own. He didn’t want Director Min to leave for a moment to change his clothes even after putting Jun-kyung on the bed.

“Can’t you just lie down?”

At Jun-kyung’s plea, Executive Director Min had to lie on the bed without taking off his clothes properly. As soon as Hyun-Seung came to his side, Jun-Kyung dug right into his arms. When Jun-Kyung wasn’t held in his arms, his heart beat ominously.

He was so scared that the same scary hand would appear and strangle him again. Even if he dismissed it as a hallucination, it was no use. The aftermath of the shock he had experienced during the day still made Jun-Kyung tremble.

“Suddenly you’ve become a baby.”

“I will try to overcome it quickly.”

Executive Director Min sighed lightly. He slowly patted the trembling Jun-Kyung.

“You don’t have to.”

Considering the busy company situation, those are just words.

Jun-Kyung heartbeat slowly started to find his own slow rhythm. The doctor who told them to leave the hospital quickly was right. It was much more comfortable being alone in a quiet house.

He rested his forehead against Hyun-Seung’s hard chest, regaining his breath. He slept soundly in the hospital, so he wasn’t sleepy. After calming down, he began to worry about something else.

“I…I’m sorry.”

“Why?” The questioning voice was much lighter and more indifferent than usual.

“I caused concern and also interfered with the work of the company.”

The shock itself is not Jun-Kyung’s fault at all. According to the doctor’s diagnosis, isn’t it rather because of Director Min’s misbehavior? To put it bluntly, it’s because it’s too much.

It’s embarrassing, so he can’t really say anything. How will he look at madam’s face in the future? Anyway, since he suddenly called someone who was at work, he had to apologize out of politeness.

The arm wrapped around his back was strong.

“Don’t worry about the business. You are more important than the company.”

Meanwhile, Executive Director Min patted Junkyung’s head slightly. His lips naturally touched the forehead. Even if Jun-Kyung tried not to be conscious, his nerves were focused in that direction. In a different sense than before, his pulse quickened slightly.

“By the way.”

“Yes?”

“Why are you dropping honorifics all of a sudden?”

Thanks to the naturally changed way of speaking, the area around Jun-Kyung’s cheekbones had been itching from earlier. His toes and fingers were curled.

“Pfft.”

What was funny? Executive Director Min lowly laughed. Jun-Kyung couldn’t keep his fingers and toes still. As he wiggled his toes mercilessly, his fingers crumpled the hem of Director Mr. Min’s suit.

“Did that bother you?”

“Slightly.”

“Are you going to fight again?”

Even though he knew it was a playful question, Jun-Kyung thought about it quite seriously. At that time, he really got goosebumps and couldn’t help but toss Min. As a result, it went back to failure.

But now? It tickled him a little, but it wasn’t unbearable. In the midst of doing after all the naughty things, the shyness of speaking informally is a bit problematic.

“It’s not to that extent.”

“That’s a relief.”

The lips that touched his forehead curled up slightly.

I think he kissed me.

After accepting the informal speech, it was okay to kiss. Humans are so cunning.

Jun-Kyung, who had been absent-minded for a moment, suddenly asked.

“Can I speak informally to you too?”

“If you call me Hyung or honey.”

How cowardly do you have to be to attack a sick person? Anyway, Jun-Kyung can’t let his guard down.

“……..” Since he is younger, Jun-Kyung doesn’t mind if he continues to use honorifics with Director Min. It’s hard to say openly, so he chose silence instead.

Gradually, his eyelids grew heavy. As he got into a comfortable position, his legs became entangled. He felt a strong presence. He didn’t think he was sleepy, but his mind was unknowingly delirious.

How long will this condition last? He shouldn’t bother Director Min too much. He should get better soon.

When the intermittent thoughts almost stopped, Executive Director Min whispered with a dreamy, sweet voice that he had never heard before.

“Jun-Kyung Ho, you play with me too much.”

***

The miracle of bonding shock disappearing overnight did not happen. Thanks to being held all night, he felt much better the next day.

It’s not that he felt better but more like better than the time of the seizure. It was still far from normal. If Director Min was not seen for more than five minutes, his heart would pound, and his hands and feet would tremble.

“I’m at home for the time being.”

The secretary and the staff who received the call stopped by the house. They installed security laptops and various office equipment in the study, which was rarely used except for occasional contact with overseas branches. There was also a large monitor for video conferencing. Although communication technology has advanced tremendously these days, working from home has its limitations. It is better to receive confidential information directly.

“I will come to report once in the morning and afternoon. Would that be all right?”

After completing the installation report, the secretary asked Director Min. Instead of answering, Executive Director Min looked at Jun-Kyung.

Jun-Kyung was standing in front of the library door. He couldn’t stand it not even for the moment while the staff were prepping the computers and explaining the precautions for using the computer.

Honestly, he’s not okay. However, he was confident that he would not immediately rush in and cling to Director Min. Of course, under the premise that Executive Director Min is in sight.

The eyes of the computer room staff who had just finished the installation looked at the two. Jun-Kyung, who was half-hidden by the door frame, was greatly embarrassed. His composure was easily broken by the symptoms of the shock. Sensing the trembling eyes, Executive Director Min straightened out the situation.

“Once in the morning is enough. In the afternoon, if you are not in a hurry, only by phone. Instead, report from time to time by e-mail.”

“All right.”

Even if the secretary is tight lipped, it is not certain that the computer room staff will do the same. There are limits to keeping your mouth shut. To be honest, is it even possible to keep the mouths shut at this point?

He is a young and handsome Executive who was chosen as the heir to the group, so he draws attention even if he is not trying. And what if such a person known for being a workaholic storms out during a meeting due to an abrupt phone call?

There was nothing that Jun-kyung could do, and also he is not sick because he wants to be sick. It’s best not to care, but he has no choice but to be sensitive to the company’s reputation. Jun-Kyung is not a lofty person who is not swayed by others’ gazes, nor is he a person with such a personality breakdown in another sense.

Is there anyone who can stay aloof when people that work in the same company talk about you in a broad sense? In fact, Jun-Kyung thought it was fortunate that he became like this after leaving the company. Or by now, the phone would have caught on fire from people asking what was going on. The phone is quiet now because he is using the new phone that Executive Director Min gave me.

After the secretary and staff left, Executive Director Min made coffee in the kitchen instead of sitting at his desk. He prepared two cups and handed one to Jun-Kyung. Wasn’t coffee prohibited? Still, if offered, he would not refuse.

“Can I have coffee?”

“Your is not real coffee, it’s a substitute for coffee.”

Of course it is. Why would a person who even gives prescribed medication for a slightly upset stomach make the mistake of giving real coffee?

The aroma and color of the drink in the warm mug reminds him of an ordinary Americano. When he drank a little bit, the taste was very bad. It’s like coffee, but like a coffee that a barista with no skills makes. Still, in a situation where coffee is banned altogether, this is better than nothing.

“I’m going to do some work now.”

Standing in front of the elevator going up to the study, Executive Director Min said to Jun-Kyung. While he was at work, he was asking what Jun-Kyung was going to do.

“I’m going to watch a movie in the living room.”

“Will you be okay?”

“What’s to happen in the house? Don’t worry, just go to work.”

The opponent, who was silent for a moment as if Jun-Kyung was not trusted, went upstairs.

Currently, the interior of this house was the same as Director Min used. Furniture and home appliances are simple but have a strong presence. So even though the house looks a bit bleak, it’s okay if you think of it as a house where a man lived alone. In fact, the condo Jun-Kyung lived for more than two years had the same basic aesthetics except for the blanket and clothes.
