Outside the City Lord Manor in the Changfeng City…

The energy that fell from the rose-colored bridge decreased by half, surprising both Gao Yun and Youshang. 

This time, it was Youshang’s turn to talk shit. “Hahaha, the ancestor of your White Deer Paradise isn’t that impressive after all. With the decrease in energy, there’s no way whatever formation you laid down can suppress my partner.”

Roaring with laughter, Youshang continued, “If that’s the case, there’s not much left for us to talk about!” 

Gao Yun’s expression sank slightly, but he didn’t say a word in response.

He didn’t expect Youshang to give up on his offensive suddenly. Turning around, Youshang sent an attack towards one of the wells around the City Lord Manor.

When he was fighting with Gao Yun earlier, he discovered the anomaly with the placements of the wells. He felt that those could be the path the world origin was taking to enter the spirit cave underground.

His guess was correct. However, Gao Yun wouldn’t allow him to destroy those wells as he wished!

As the space above the City Lord Manor started to distort, Youshang’s attack tore into the ground below as cracks formed on the well he was aiming for. However, he quickly noticed that something was wrong. “Huh? This is an illusion!” 

Youshang’s expression changed slightly as he retreated slightly. Covering his palms with his extermination origin, he sent them forward to meet Gao Yun’s palms that appeared out of nowhere. A massive blast ensued and Youshang was forced to retreat. Retreating hundreds of feet, Youshang eventually managed to stabilize his footing. 

Gao Yun’s gaze landed on Youshang and he growled, “You’re still underestimating me.”

Who would have thought that a massive explosion would come from the well Youshang aimed at after the words left Gao Yun’s lips? A powerful spear light emerged from underground, causing a pillar of water to burst out from down below.

A ray of light flashed through Youshang’s eyes and he chuckled in amusement, “Looks like your formation failed to trap my partner.” 

Without turning his head to look at the disturbance, Gao Yun sneered, “Like I said. All of you are frogs at the bottom of the well.”

After the water sprayed up into the air, the well quickly regained its calm. If not for the traces of water that landed all around the well, no one would think that anything happened earlier.

Unleashing Void Evasion, Shang Xia rejoiced after it smashed into the opening above. He thought that he managed to open up a path to escape.

However, the opening quickly closed up and the reflection of the waning moon returned. Sucking in a cold breath, Shang Xia felt a trace of irritation rising in his heart. He understood that he thought too simply earlier. The formation laid down by the formation master of the White Deer Paradise wasn’t that easy to break apart indeed.

Looking at the eighteen opening above him, another idea crossed his mind. Only nine of them had the reflection of the waning moon in them. Why shouldn’t he try attacking one that didn’t have the reflection?

He quickly discovered that he made a mistake. Since the energy could no longer flow through the nine holes there was no point in keeping them open. The formation master of the White Deer Paradise wouldn’t leave such a huge loophole for him to take advantage of.

Of course, he had to unleash his attacks to discover his mistake. When he stabbed at those openings without the reflection of the moon, he discovered that they were covered by a formless barrier. 

Those holes were sealed off by the formation master of the White Deer Paradise with some sort of spatial distortion, and a Martial Intent Realm cultivator like Shang Xia was unable to do anything about it. If he wanted any chance of breaking through to the surface, he would have to do it from the nine holes that contained the reflection of the moon!

“It recovered quickly after I broke through the water surface. That’s because only one of them was damaged. What if I attack all nine at once?” As soon as the thought surfaced in his mind, he unleashed his sixth move, Flow Recompensation!

Nine rays of spear light appeared almost simultaneously as they crashed into the nine holes above. 

Even though the reflection trembled violently, they didn’t shatter completely.

As the reflection returned to its tranquil state, Shang Xia knew that his second try had failed.

His sixth move was named ‘Flow Recompensation’, and it possessed frightening power, but it seemed as though splitting it into nine different parts was too much for him to handle.

To put it simply, his sixth move was far from enough to break him out of his predicament!

In terms of brute force, Shang Xia’s seventh move, Celestial Disruption, was somewhat lacking when compared to Flow Recompensation. Its focus was on unpredictability rather than brute force, and Shang Xia doubted that it could break through the nine holes above.

The more he thought about it, the more desperate he felt. Was he really going to have to rely on others to come rescue him? 

He refused to place his fate in the hands of others, and a feeling of reluctance filled his heart.

The more he thought about it, the more the reflection of the waning moon in the nine holes above seemed to resemble mocking smiles laughing at his weakness.

“If I can shatter those nine moons at once…” A trace of anger replaced the feeling of reluctance in his heart and he quickly got to his feet. A trace of inspiration struck him when he looked at the reflection of the waning moon above his head. The principles he learned after comprehending the Providence Spear Art in the past surfaced in his mind and he seemed to have caught on to something. 

During his first divine sense transformation, he managed to affect the heaven and earth qi in his surroundings.

After his second divine sense transformation, he managed to fuse his divine sense with the world around him.

Now that he completed his third divine sense transformation, he had the ability to control the heaven and earth qi around him to a greater degree! Since he had the ability to control the heaven and earth qi around him, was it possible for him to extend the control and do the same to the world origin in his surroundings?

Extending his divine sense around him, Shang Xia quickly grasped the essence of the problem. Gao Yun was able to use the world origin like heaven and earth qi to power his formation. Why couldn’t he do the same?!

With an idea in his mind, Shang Xia raised his Scarlet Star Spear and started waving it around. He drew a perfect circle around him and gathered whatever energy there was before twisting his wrist to point upwards. He stabbed forward slightly as his divine sense fused with his eighth move.

The spear light created from the energy around him carried his divine sense as it traveled up towards the nine holes. As they slammed into the formless barrier above, the barrier didn’t seem affected at all. However, those reflections seemed to receive a devastating attack as they scattered completely. Not a trace remained! 

Quickly coming up with a name for his eighth move, Shang Xia named it, Startling Moon!
