This was bad…!

I had been trying to lure the invincible Buckler away from my comrades, but now I had taken him with me!

The announcement rang, notifying me that Necoco had taken one enemy down, but it seemed like Satomi and Anne were still struggling against Crusher.

I had known that Crusher would be a tough enemy, but not this tough…

Still, we had the numerical advantage.

We just had to end Buckler’s state of invincibility…!

“…Only, I’m not sure how to do that!”

Due to Buckler destroying so many buildings, there were no more places for me to jump onto!

I suppose I just have to move on the ground…?

No, Buckler will be able to crush me to death if I do that.

But, now that I’ve used up Floating Cloud Herd, I cannot make cloud platforms anymore.

As for moving with I’m Arrow… No.

It wasn’t the time to use that charge attack.

In the first place, there is no point in me running away.

If I ran, Buckler would prioritize the destruction of my friends.

Once they were gone, he could take his time dealing with me later.

After Buckler had destroyed the last house that Kyuji was standing on, Kyuji landed on the ground and started to run.

It was only the last building in the block.

The last building that was close enough for Kyuji to jump on without using a skill. 

There were other houses in the distance, and so the chase would begin again if he went to them.

And the effect of Invincible Armor would wear off.

Buckler was not someone who would miss this chance.

“Armor Purge!”

Buckler used a charge attack to take off all of the armor that he was wearing!

The pieces of armor flew off like bullets!

Not only did they catch Kyuji by surprise, but his friends as well. And they were hit one after another.

But it wasn’t powerful enough to kill…!

“Armor Set!”

And then the pieces of armor fragments went flying back to Buckler!

At the same speed at which they shot off.

In other words, they inflicted the same amount of damage again…!

After being hit twice by the charge attack, the Ghost Guild took a lot of damage.

When he looked across the field, Kyuji, Necoco, Satomi and the Unisons were gone.

After seeing this, Buckler waited for the announcement.

As they had a Unison that could fake death, they could not relax until the announcement confirmed it.

(Necoco, defeated by Buckler. Satomi, defeated by Buckler. Crusher…Crusher!? And defeated by me!?)

When the announcement came, it revealed the death of his comrade.

Indeed, it was easy for Armor Purge and Armor Set attacks to hit your comrades as well.

However, Crusher knew about these charge attacks, and Buckler had told him how to deal with them.

In general, the strength of physical attacks were determined by your Attack status, but with these two charge attacks, it was Defense that decided it.

In other words, it would be so much more powerful when Buckler used it.

That being said, these atypical charge attacks usually had a low base strength, so even with his status, they weren’t as strong as most charge attacks.

That was why Buckler had used it twice without any time in between.

If two shots were fired and they were a direct hit, it would be enough to kill players with low defense.

Furthermore, after using Armor Purge, your status would drop in accordance with the armor you lost.

Crusher knew all of this information.

There had been no announcements after Crusher…!

A certain man had disappeared, but his name was not announced!

“Hahaha…hahaha!! I’m now afraid of what this archer will evolve into…!”

Kyuji…was floating in the air!

Right before the destruction of the last house, he had used Whirlwind and Windcloud Blast to push himself up into the sky.

Of course, as he could not make clouds, there was no platform to stand on.

The wind was not stable, and so he would bob up and down.

Normally, he should not be able to shoot in that state.

And yet, Kyuji…had hit him.

He had helped in the killing of Crusher!

And the Kyuji that had descended and ran on the ground was a dummy made with Mirror Alice Reflection.

As he had just used it in the previous battle, Buckler was aware of it, but there had not been enough time to tell them apart.

Had the running Kyuji been the real one, then he would be able to get up onto a roof again.

Besides, thanks to Crusher, all of Kyuji’s friends were gathered in one place.

And though he was a veteran, the situation had looked so perfectly prepared for him, that he got ahead of himself.

Now the only Straight Knights that remained on the field were Buckler and the Unison, Fixer.

And the only Ghost Guild member was Kyuji and…

“Hmm!? What…!”

“Oh? I didn’t think a player like you would be phased so easily. You didn’t even activate Parry Warp.”

Anne-marie!

While her armor was in tatters, she had not been defeated!

“Well, I cannot help but be surprised! It just means that I lack experience as well. However, you made a mistake to not use a charge attack when you had the chance…”

No…!

It wasn’t that Anne had forgotten to use it.

She had purposely chosen a skill instead.

The one that added adhesive power to her iron ball. Sticky Star!

Right now, the great shield and iron ball were stuck together!

“Your great shield…is mine!”

And then she pulled the chain with all of her might and wrenched the shield from Buckler’s grasp!
