Anna is in the Demon Realm (1)

Rothgarr did not spread his wings. He saw that Aosta was not in a normal state at the moment, and he knew very well that Aosta was no match for him.

It was just that he didn’t intend to play with Aosta and prolong this battle.

Aosta rushed over, creating a gust of wind, and his fist smashed toward Rothgarr like a heavy hammer. Rothgarr moved his left shoulder back slightly, grabbing Aosta’s fist. At the same time, the black flames quickly spread, from his fist to the rest of Aosta’s body.

Aosta struggled backwards, but did not manage to free himself from Rothgarr’s grip. In the next moment, his wings slammed towards Rothgarr.

Rothgarr grabbed Aosta’s hand, and, with him as the center of the circle, swung him above his head. In his other hand, Rothgarr formed a black flame, throwing toward Aosta’s head.

Aosta’s wings moved to cover his head. The black flames exploded on his wings. He roared, and at the same time as he unfolded the wings, his other hand threw a flurry of flames towards Rothgarr.

Rothgarr twisted his body to avoid Aosta’s attack, then clenched his fists and punched Aosta’s arms, abdomen, back and other parts one after another. With each punch, the black flames wrapped around his hands would seep into Aosta’s body. Only the sound of thudding and the screams of Aosta were heard. Finally, Rothgarr raised his knee and slammed it into Aosta’s abdomen, and Aosta, whose body was engulfed in black flames, flew out backwards.

Rothgarr looked back at Anna, who was lying on the ground motionless, and frowned slightly.

It would be hard to end this fight with Aosta in the short while, but Anna had to be tended to as soon as possible. But she asked him to save Natalie and Leon, and he couldn’t take them away immediately.

Tsk, what a hassle.

“Cough…” Aosta stood up against the wall, his body trembling. The flames surrounding him disappeared.

His eyes were still blood red, which was one of a demon’s unique physical features, but his beast-like aura was gone.

He looked around and saw Anna, who was lying on the ground not far away, and his pupils shrank fiercely.

He had no memory of just now, but he could guess what happened.

He didn’t want to implicate Anna, the only one who had been good to him for so many years, so he had tried to leave before he lost control, but he didn’t expect to hurt her anyway.

“Looks like you’re awake, Aosta.” Rothgarr saw this, lifted up Anna carefully, and said to Aosta, “The Vatican will be coming soon, are you planning a massacre or going back to the Demon Realm?”

If it was the former, he would first take Natalie and Leon away first before joining him. If the latter, he wouldn’t have to worry about those two anymore; there would naturally be other humans arriving to tend to them.

Aosta saw something from Rothgarr’s gentleness towards Anna. He didn’t reveal that he knew Anna. He put away his wings without saying a word and walked past Rothgarr.

“Why are you here?” Rothgarr asked suddenly.

Of course, Aosta didn’t answer Rothgarr’s question. What exactly the curse of The Abyss was, was every demon’s secret, and wouldn’t be revealed unless their relationship was very good.

“Let me guess, you have periods of weakness every once in a while, right?” Rothgarr sneered suddenly, “And your period of weakness this time, you were with Anna.”

Rothgarr wasn’t just guessing out of thin air. He knew that there was someone hiding in Anna’s room, and she had been hiding this from him. He still remembered that when he saw that figure, he had an instinctive disgust. He didn’t think much about it at that time. The probability of two demons coming to the same human city was too low.

But now that he saw Aosta, he understood the source of that disgust.

Every demon received a curse from The Abyss, he had one, Balan had one, and of course Aosta couldn’t escape this fate. He remembered that every once in a while, Aosta would disappear for a few days, probably because of a period of weakness. In the Demon Realm, a duke of The Abyss could be in great danger when he entered a period of weakness. Ordinary demonic creatures would be able to kill him, so it was no wonder that he would flee to the Human Realm.

“Anna took you in during this time, but you hurt her and her friends like this. Guess what she would do to you if you appeared in front of Anna again?” Rothgarr smiled maliciously, “She will regret ever taking you in very much, and will want to kill you to vent her anger.”

Aosta glared at Rothgarr angrily, his fists clenched at his side, his eyes seeming to be even more red.

But he didn’t say anything else. He kicked off on the ground using his feet, and immediately left from here.

Rothgarr sneered. Right now, there seemed to be a fire burning in his chest. Anna had been living with Aosta all this time, they…

He didn’t want to think about it any longer.

He looked at Leon and Natalie, and walked out of this underground space with Anna in his arms. When he spread his wings out, the priest of the church had just arrived, exclaiming as he watched him flap his wings.

He quickly disappeared from their sight.

The priest led the pastors into the underground space. They were stunned by the tragic scene underground.

In the corner was a pile of black-robed corpses. There was a sudden movement, and the pastors vigilantly surrounded it, only to see the girl with blood on her face push away a corpse and sit up, looking around in horror.

“De—demon!” She saw clearly that she was sitting in the pile of corpses, like a shrimp thrown into boiling water. She hunched up her body before jumping up and patting herself all over, as if trying to get rid of all the blood on her body.

The priest recognized this girl: “Miss Grace?”

Hearing the priest’s voice, Grace suddenly looked over. She rushed over like a drowning man clutching onto a straw. She hugged the priest, and cried: “Save me, save me!”

Grace’s eyes were crazy, her face full of fear.

The priest sighed. Miss Grace seemed to be terrified.

What terrible thing happened here?

When Anna woke up, she felt as if her body was not hers, and her mind seemed to be unable to command her limbs any longer.

She remembered what had happened, little by little.
