Chapter 31

Qin Jiulin said, “I’ll go out and take a look. It can’t be another invitation for us to join, right?”

As he spoke, he walked to the door and, through the courtyard and gate, saw two people outside: Duan Qiufeng and Qi Jinglan. Why are these two here? Did they see  Qi Yue, who lives in their villa?

Approaching the gate, he looked at the two outside, “Is there something?”

Duan Qiufeng stared at him with a fierce look, while Qi Jinglan seemed a bit unsure. Her mouth opened and closed, hesitating whether to speak. However, before Qin Jiulin could express impatience…

Qi Jinglan said, “Qin Dashao, we… we came to ask you about something.”

“Ask away,” Qin Jiulin replied.

Ask what needs to be asked, but whether to answer or not is his decision.

“It’s just that… when we were out earlier, it seemed like we saw my brother Ah Yue in the courtyard. I don’t know if he’s here with Qin Dashao?” Qi Jinglan said with some embarrassment.

Qin Jiulin asked, “Why would your brother come to me?”

Qin Jiulin said mockingly, looking like he didn’t care about anything. However, Duan Qiufeng and Qi Jinglan both saw the cold arrogance in his eyes, as if looking down on two dogs.

It seemed that Duan Qiufeng and Qi Jinglan hadn’t fully recovered from the reality that Qin Jiulin had easily guessed. They just stared at him in shock.

Qin Jiulin continued, “If there’s nothing else, go back. I don’t have time to chat with you. Also, in the future, don’t disturb us for no reason. Otherwise, don’t blame me for not being polite.”

After saying that, he turned to leave, but was stopped by Duan Qiufeng’s shout, “Qin Jiulin!”

Qin Jiulin turned to look at him, expressionless, but his gaze startled the other party.

Duan Qiufeng forced himself to say, “If you’re sensible, hand over Qi Yue to us. Otherwise, I’ll go back and tell Brother Lin and Brother Wang about it. Let’s see if you can resist us!”
