Chapter 35 - 34.Evolve

Luckily Alber's pray has been answered as the boar that got hit didn't get up right away; Giving him enough time to play his zither to communicate with Luna. Luna pounce towards the boar upon hearing the zither and start to constrict the boar.

Almost at the same time BONE-VOYAGE and Alice jump towards the second boar hitting it on the head and the side. This time Alice didn't forget to control her mana and gather it at her hands; turning her hands green and increasing her damage.

Alice's hand turns back to normal skin color as she still can't maintain her concentration while fighting. Whenever there's a chance Alice would regather her mana and turn her hands boosting its damage for a while before it turns back to normal.

The boar retaliate but James arrives in time to block it reducing the damage significantly. The boar attack damage is much higher compare to horned rabbits from before. Even with James's blocked skill 5 damage still goes trough his shield reducing almost 10% of his HP.

The fight continues as Alice running around and strike when an opportunity shows itself. James and BONE-VOYAGE tank the boar together as James HP is still too low to tank it solo.

"ALICE! DODGE!" Shouted James

As the boar running towards him but since Alice is in the wrong position she's at risk getting run over by it. Startle by the warning Alice rolls instinctively dodging the charging boar. Too busy watching his surroundings James forgot to defend himself with his shield.

James HP drop bellow his comfort zone; Controlling BONE-VOYAGE, James makes the skeleton face the boar while he chugs a lesser HP potion down his throat. His left hand nimbly operates his comlink taking out an HP potion to recover his HP gradually.

'Gotta remind him to increase his HP the next time he levels up!' Albert thought watching the fight.

Albert got slightly distracted by the fight and forgot that he has to concentrate to restrict the other boar. Snapped out of stun status the first boar charge towards Albert despite being constricted by Luna. Albert did not realize that he's being targeted until it was too late.

Lucky for him Kana who's been staying out of the fight is on alert. She repeatedly tries to cast healing skills throughout the fight hoping a miracle would happen. Right before the boar would run Albert over Kana pushes his wheelchair out of the harm. Unfortunately for Kana, she's not come out unscathed; her feet are grazed by the boar long tusked and blood is gushing out of the wounds.

"BROTHER! KANA SIS!" Alice shriek as she watches the two getting attacked.

Alice turns towards her brother but before she even moves; Albert instructs her not to do so.

"I'M OKAY! Alice, finish that boar first! We have to finish at least one of them!"

"I'll help them tank the other boar! You and BONE-VOYAGE finish this one!" James told Alice as he charges towards the first boar

DANG!!!

James crashes the boar knocking it back damaging both the boar and Luna who's coiling it. This time the boar didn't get stunned and retaliate back.

"What are you doing here?!?! Finish that boar first!" Kana said surprised at James arrival

"I'm not dealing any damage anyway. I can help kite this one while Alice and my skeleton finish the other one." James explains as he blocks the charging boar.

With James on the field, Albert plays his zither directing Luna to tighten her bind on the boar. With Luna disturbing the boar James is having an easy time blocking the boar with his shield. James is having a hard time. Alice on the other side got a bit overwhelmed and has to chug her own lesser HP potion.

BONE-VOYAGE couldn't help Alice that much as James has to focus on his defense and let his skeleton on a free reign and not micromanage it. Finish relocating Albert out of the harm way; Kana tries to cast healing skill towards Alice as her HP drop again below 60%.

Different from the usual a weird phenomenon appears as Kana cast her skills. The floating rune in front of Kana emits a dark red glow instead of a normal dull color. Blood from her gushing wound is floats towards the rune making it glows even more so than before.

As the rune disappears a red number and green number appear on Kana and Alice's head simultaneously. Alice and James did not realize what has just happened but Albert jaw is on the floor looking at Kana. He did not say anything as disturbing James and Alice could be fatal.

Alice sidesteps the boar attack and counters it with an uppercut to the lower abdomen. The second boar finally fall and Alice rush towards James to help him with the first one. James already on his 3rd lesser HP potions but his enemy is also on its last leg.

Dragging 1-meter long snake while fighting is not on the boar schedule. He is forced to fight, carrying a heavy snake who deals damage each second pass by. Each time the boar move Luna would be tightening her bind making the boar lose more HP per second and slowed its movement.

With Alice and BONE-VOYAGE help, it didn't take long before the party finishes the second boar. As the boar fall, Kana cast 1 last heal to refill James HP surprising Alice and James.

"Kana sis, you can cast a skill?! You finally did it!" Alice runs towards Kana celebrating her success

"Yeah, I can finally help you guys out when we're fighting!" Kana smiles from ear to ear happy that she can finally contribute.

Kana check her status to look at her new skills and got more surprised by what she found there.
