Chapter 450 - Ten Centimeters Part 9

The sound of the door being slammed open disrupted this silence. Lyn glanced over, and a deep sigh passed her lips. Here comes the other one.

"Rhys."

Rhys walked over, and she felt his arms wrap around her. "Hey, are you alright?"

Despite his casual words and his rather bold actions. Lyn noticed something, 'He is trembling.' This person truly cares about her. He can't express his feelings as openly as Kazuya. But there is no doubt that he cares for her. Lyn leaned into his hold, and Rhys eyes widened.

"Come back with me?" Rhys asked. It was a simple question, but Lyn saw the look in his eyes.

Lyn nodded. "I will."

"Hold on--" Allen was about to protest.

Ralph chuckled. "Well, indeed. If Rhys takes care of her, then we should have no more problems."

Rhys clicked his tongue, clearly annoyed. "And exactly where have you been hiding, master?"

"Oh my," Ralph said. "I thought you said you wouldn't call me that anymore."

"The two of us need to talk. So don't you dare disappear."

Lyn looked over at Rhys curiously. "Talk?"

Rhys turned to her and scooped her up in his arms. "After I take care of Lyn, drop by."

'Ah, it's something private.' Well, even though Rhys tells her a lot more than Kazuya. Lyn knew he still had to keep secrets. She wonders why. It's okay to close the ten centimeters distance with Rhys. But with Kazuya, she can no longer do so. Even when they were dating, the distance between them…

Her thoughts broke of when Rhys suddenly placed her down. "Rhys?"

"You have something you want to ask me, don't you?"

"Lately, you look a bit tired… And you're a bit distance too."

Rhys eyes widened, but he chuckled. He brought his lips to her ear and started licking.

"Unngh." A strange sound escaped her lips as Rhys continued his strange actions.

"Do you want me to pay more attention to you?"

Lyn lightly pulled away from him, her cheeks slightly red. "Don't do that."

"My bad." Rhys nodded. "I know we're not anything yet and that you're using me. But can you at least think about it properly? I am serious."

"I know."

But this is very difficult for her, all of this. Rhys kissed her lips lightly. "Let me take you back. Stay in my room for a while."

"Eh?"

"We have to make the act good, right?"

"Aren't you taking advantage of this too much?"

Rhys cupped her cheeks. "I can't?"

"Well," Lyn looked down. She doesn't know what to do about a man who is so direct with his feelings. It's very unusual. "I guess you can."

He nodded. "I thought you would say that. Let's go back."

When she saw how impatient he was, Lyn could only nod. He picked her up again, and they quietly walked through the hallway. How much longer can she continue this way?

...…

For the next few days, Lyn stays with Rhys. At first, she found it difficult to adjust to living with him. But Lyn realized it was better than her staying alone. With the current state of her legs, she won't be able to walk much. 'Pupillam still hasn't returned.' So she has nobody who can support her properly.

The only problem is .. her gaze fell on the man who hovered on top of her. His lips descended onto hers. "Hey, we're not done. Open your mouth, Lyn."

She didn't obey him, so Rhys pried her mouth open with his, and shot his tongue inside. 'Rhys gives such a.d.u.l.t-like kisses. Kazuya has never kissed her like this.' Then again, Kazuya was the gentleman type. No, Kazuya didn't know what he was doing.

"Lyn, Lyn," Rhys mumbled her name repeatedly.

Can people engage in intimate actions with no feelings? In the past, Lyn asked herself a lot. She saw many 'couples.' around her who had no feelings for each other.

Her entire body felt so hot. 'This person what are his intentions by doing this?' Does he have feelings for her? But why is this the only thing on his mind? Lyn didn't know what to expect by staying with Rhys. However, she didn't expect him to like intimacy so much. While he often teased her before. Lyn didn't know he was like this. He showed signs, yes, but Lyn couldn't be positive.

"You don't seem to be into this today. Is something wrong?" Rhys asked.

"...no, I'm just tired."

Rhys nodded. "Why don't you sleep?"

"Rhys." Lyn extended her hand out, and he grabbed hold of it. "Thank you..."

She doesn't know why she keeps thanking him randomly like this.

"Rhys, there's something I would like to know.. Will Kazuya be able to come back?"

At that comment, Rhys frowned and pushed her back down. "We don't have to talk about Kazuya, do we?"

"You don't have to get jealous," Lyn mumbled. "Right now, I have no choice but to belong to you."

She wonders if her sister is buying this act at all, though. Her sister's intelligence can match her eldest brother. Rhys didn't reply to her and brought his lips to her legs.

Lyn ran her hands through his hair. 'It did feel nice.' She didn't understand these things very well.

Lyn does not have much experience kissing. Other than Kazuya, she has never kissed someone before. Kazuya and her seldom kissed too. He preferred hugging and holding her hand. So dealing with Rhys was difficult. He wasn't just kissing her, but pressing their bodies against one another.

He felt heavy, and Lyn was uncomfortable. How can they kiss properly? Unfortunately, Rhys proved that when he seemed to play with her tongue. The way he explored her mouth drove her crazy. Her entire body felt hot; she was sweating uncontrollably. She doesn't understand why she was burning up due to a single kiss.

He whispered soothing words in her ear. "Don't worry, Lyn. It's only kissing."

Only kissing? Why is it like this? It's very strange. But, the reason why she can't push him away is... This makes her feel wanted; it pushes back all her negative thoughts. Just for once in her life, she wants to stop feeling so empty. If Rhys can do that, then she could accept him.

But this feeling is only temporary; it disappears the moment he stops. Even if it's for a moment only, she wants to feel something. Something other than emptiness.

Her thoughts broke off when he intertwined their hands together. Oh...

Oh no, she feels like crying. Lyn wanted nothing more than to hide her face right now. But it was difficult since Rhys was kissing her.

Rhys, however, noticed and licked her tears away. "Salty."

"Rhys."

She wants to tell him what she feels. Would he understand?

"What's wrong?" Rhys asked.

Lyn wanted to tell him, but she immediately stopped herself. "Mmm, nothing. It's a bit cold today." Lyn commented.

"Should I close the window?"

Lyn shook her head, "I need some fresh air."

"Alright," Rhys gaze fell on her again. "Can I continue?" he said somewhat seductively. However, when she looked at his eyes, she saw something—the same loneliness and longing.
