Chapter 325 - Glass Treasure Part 2

Alcohol was a lousy idea; it seemed. But Lyn wanted to get him to talk and speak his mind. Indeed, she got the desired results, and he told her a lot of things. Lyn was so busy listening that she didn't realize how close he was getting to her. Before she knew it, she was laying down on the couch,

"Rhys, wait a minute…" While they had their own section, the long carriage. People were still passing by. Rhys, however, didn't listen to her and continued kissing her neck.

T—this was a bad idea!

A terrible idea.

She's never seen Rhys drunk before, and he's always refrained from drinking alcohol in front of her. Now she understood why that was.

This was a first for her…

Lyn vaguely recalled that time he scared her. Back then, she was genuinely afraid, but now? Now, something was different; she didn't know how to feel. Rhys lips were currently attacking her neck with kisses. His hands trailed on her thighs. 'Embarrassing, this is so embarrassing.' For once, Lyn was rendered utterly speechless. He wasn't doing much, and yet her entire body felt like it was burning all over.

..

It was very embarrassing for her, but she had to ask for some help. With Rhys passed out on her like that, Lyn couldn't just leave him be. The workers got the wrong impression. She even heard them whispering about how intense things were that the guy passed out. Gahhh, Lyn frantically shook her head. Don't think about it anymore. It really is very embarrassing. Lyn looked down at Rhys, who was sweating uncontrollably. She doesn't understand why he came with her.

He obviously feels unwell, and why was he studying despite his condition? It makes little sense to him, doing something like this.

"Lyn?"

"Ah, don't get up…"

Rhys looked at her up and down, Lyn quickly covered her neck, but the marks were visible. "Did I do something? Guess I'll take responsibility and make you my wife."

Lyn hits him across the head, " What is with that nonsense! Jerk, we didn't do anything."

"It's not nonsense; it's responsibility. But are you sure?"

"I'm sure."

"That's too bad."

"Don't be stupid, eat," Lyn pointed to the porridge, and Rhys blinked.

"You know this wasn't on the menu."

"Shut up and eat already," Lyn mumbled. She can't possibly tell him that she made this herself using the mini-kitchen here. This is the first time interacting with so many people without anybody else. She was nervous. But the staff were friendly; they were talking about how much of a cute couple they were. Lyn didn't bother refuting them since they were kind enough to let her use the kitchen.

"Feed me."

Unbelievable !! What is it with him. Lyn took a deep exhale and picked up the spoon. Rhys smiled, "Well, it seems like I should get sick more often."

"Really, quit it and eat. I can't believe you. How could you be fit enough to take care of me?"

"Fit enough," Rhys removed his top.

"Don't just strip out of nowhere."

"Don't you want to see whether or not I'm healthy?" he challenged.

Lyn stared at him dumbfounded, why is this man like this? She's never met a person like him before. "Since we will be gone for a few days, I informed Kazuya. He told me that he would meet us halfway."

"I see."

"Should I not have called him?"

"No, it's your decision."

Lyn bit his lip when she saw how bitter he seemed. "I didn't want to have to call brother, so…"

"Yeah."

"Rhys…"

"Sit down."

She meekly nodded, and Rhys pulled her onto his lap. "I know I can't have you, but that's only temporary. I won't let anybody take you from me."

"Rhys, why did you choose me? I think somebody like you is capable of getting any girl. It doesn't have to be me, does it?"

"Your right, I can have anybody I please," Rhys nodded.

"Then--"

"But, none of them will ever match up to you," Rhys trailed off. "After we parted ways, I tried to forget you. I tried to be with other girls. But I could not care for anybody as much as I did you."

"You couldn't, not even Beth?"

Rhys nodded, "Yeah. Honestly, I couldn't get into a serious relationship with beth. Maybe it was because of how our relationship started s.e.x.u.a.lly.."

Lyn sighed, "I don't understand that mindset. Why did you have to fool around for? Couldn't you have entered a normal relationship? It's not like your a bad guy," she mumbled. Any girl who Rhys liked would undoubtedly be treated like a treasure. She should know, look at how he treats her.

Even though Rhys made her sit on his lap, he ensured she was comfortable and kept checking on her every few minutes.

"Do you realize that if Prince Allen had intended to stop you from going out, there's nothing that could prevent him. After all. .. that man is the head of the organization Onyx. ' The Onyx first started off as a scattered group; there were presumed to be many. But not large enough for a nation, at least that's what was reported. Bit by bit your fiance from a prestigious blood line found them all and gathered them to his region. A tale that is commonly known and told. However, some know the real story."

Lyn chuckled, "Of course I know about it. I'm not foolish enough to think that my power could ever compare with him. But since he learned the truth about me, he has not discarded me, nor has he looked at me with disdain. I was prepared for him to hate me, to loathe me for taking so many lives, and for tricking him. But it was not like that at all."

"That guy, if he truly cares about you...he would accept you no matter what."

She nodded, "Ah-huh. I interpret it as him telling me that I can do whatever I want from now on."

A deep sigh escaped Rhys lips. He seemed very troubled by her declaration. "Why do you seem so worried?"

"Lyn, you have a bad habit of getting into trouble no matter where you go."

"Untrue!"

Rhys sighed, "Alright, why don't we make a compromise?"

"Compromise?"

"Yeah, as long as you promise to bring me whenever you do anything dangerous, then I'll agree to it."

A chuckle escaped her lips, "Isn't that just an excuse to be with me more?"

"Since I'm caught, there is no use hiding it."

Really, what a shameless person. "I don't dislike such honesty."

"I know."
