Chapter 326: Questions

Chapter 326: Questions

'I need to get better quickly,' Sang-ah understood that time waited for no one, If the problem was in front of her, it wouldn't matter if she could handle it or not, she'll have to face it.

"I'm also quite tired, Using magic takes a lo~~t of concentration, because if we just fire off a spell without any image or substance behind it, it will take double the amount of mana it would've taken normally," Jin-ah also chimed in, the others kind of understood how it worked.

'That is also the case with aura blades, with extreme mastery one can even use it for hours on end with low mana costs,' Dok-ja had felt this when he faced off against the dark warden, because of his inexperience he spent all of his mana after just using it twice. The initial posting of this chapter occurred via N0v3l.B11n.

"And even if for the sake of argument, let's say that we manage to do this for the whole week without getting a casualty, monsters aren't really our only concern here," Haru said while shaking his head and everyone was reminded of the scene from this morning.

"But isn't Jung-hyuk your companion Dok-ja, can't you like hoodwink him or something?" Hee-won looked at Dok-ja.

Dok-ja's eyes twitched a little after he saw the messages that were flooding in. He would like to say that he can somehow get Jung-hyuk to fight as well, But...

"No, If I try that he'll kill me first, And there is the Landlord Coalition as well, I am sure they won't leave a chance to attack if they see us exhausted, That is probably what they want," Dok-ja smiled dryly, he knew Jung-hyuk would really kill without a second thought if he got on the latter's nerves.

"It would be pretty difficult to do things like today since Ji-hye said she won't do it again, so we are down by one front liner, We have to face 3,000 monsters on the north side and 2,500 monsters on the west side these are just my rough estimates." Everyone was surprised that Queresha kept such a record of things while they had their hands full just by swinging their weapons. But they had to pay more attention as Queresha continued.

"We have to do this daily for the next six days, I'd say a few casualties would be the least of our worries, I myself don't think I'll be able to go on under these circumstances, keeping an eye on the front is already tough but paired with healing the injured and dish out support when the front is in trouble also takes an extra toll on me," The other understood Queresha's words as she was the one with the most work last night.

The number of injured increased as they went into the night which showcased the whole point of what Haru said, The fatigue built up and caused mistakes that shouldn't have happened. And this was all from just one night, they could already see it worsening as the days pass.

"I ought to smack that kid," Hee-won said fiercely as Ji-hye actually just dipped with no remorse.

They can barely hold the frontline on the north side. And even if they somehow survive the monsters, there is Jung-hyuk and Landlord coalition that can take advantage. It would be just wishful thinking to expect something like 'They won't attack or everything will be ok' this won't help them.

'Is leaving them to die the only way?' Hee-won thought in her head, this was the worst-case scenario that had come up in everyone's heads.

"Well, that is what we need to figure out before the monsters reappear at night today," Haru said tapping his chin.

"I thought you figured it out already," Hee-won was surprised since Haru didn't have a plan yet, of course, this was a dig at Haru because of how he went such a roundabout way to tell them something as simple as 'I can get tired as well, you know?'

"Well not this time," Haru shrugged and Hee-won grumbled a little.

'I have like thousands of ways to solve this but they are not ideal for the situation, plus I need to confirm some things as the stage is perfect for that,' Haru closed one eye as he looked at Hyun-sung who raised his hand.

"Our main problem right now seems to be a lack of fighters, so wouldn't it be better to ask the people on the floor if they'd participate?" Hyun-sung was a bit unsure about it himself.

"If they wanted to help they would've done so last night, and I don't think it will help even if they did," Hee-won looked at Queresha who nodded.

"At most, they'd only burden me with healing them since they are unskilled in combat," Queresha said what Hee-won wanted to say.

"Blunt as always but true," Hee-won shook her head as Hyun-sung went back into deep thought.

"If we can get Ji-hye and Jung-hyuk-ssi to fight with us, along with the Landlord coalition to join in, the monsters would be a lot easier to deal with ...Ah, sorry I was thinking out loud," Sang-ah was a little embarrassed as she noticed what she had done.

"No I'll say that was a good point, so if you have some suggestions speak freely and don't hesitate," Haru said since he understood the reason Sang-ah was embarrassed.

It wasn't because she was heard talking out loud rather it was because she felt like her idea might be a bit too optimistic for Queresha's taste, since she always keeps the worst possibility in mind. So something as wishful as having your enemies help you would be a bit too much.

"That certainly would help us since the monsters that we need to face will lessen and we won't need to worry about them sneak attacking us as they would also be exhausted from fighting the monsters, But this is not viable unless they have no choice but to fight the monsters, and that is the only problem with it, Aside from that it is a good idea," Queresha stated the pros of the plan that Sang-ah proposed.

'We can do that, but should I say it or not?' Dok-ja had a way clear this scenario but the problem was, will Haru agree to his plan?
