Chapter 325: Kindness?

Chapter 325: Kindness?

It was weird, but it isn't like you can call people weird or idiots just because they have a different mindset or ideals than you.

'Wait a second .....Doesn't that sum up the current modern society a bit too perfectly? No not the time, The society is gone anyway,' Dok-ja shook his head since he needed to focus on what is going on currently.

"Also just call me Haru, we've been through the first scenario so there is no need to be so formal, and if anyone asks why you haven't told them about it just say I told you not to," Haru smiled and Dok-ja felt something was wrong, he couldn't put his finger on it.

"Ok, Haru," Dok-ja coughed and said his words as they went back towards the others. It was a weird feeling for Dok-ja it was like he was taking advantage of Haru's kind nature.

'Those words to Jung-hyuk weren't just an empty threat or for intimidation, He really meant it,' Dok-ja looked at the cracked tiles on the ground before walking, this also meant that what happened wasn't an illusion just to look tough.

"Alright go to rest quickly, we have a lot to discuss after that," Haru said since everyone looked really tired.

"Who's going to keep watch if we all sleep?" Hee-won asked while yawning. Surely she had many questions but sleep came first.

"I'll do it, so just sleep, look Nam-woon, Ji-hye, and Gil-young are already asleep," Haru said pointing at the three he mentioned and they were fast asleep. They had fallen asleep earlier since they weren't able to resist it.

"Will it be ok Haru-ssi?" Sang-ah asked since she wasn't sure if it was correct to leave the watch to only Haru since he was the one who had fought without a break.

"Just get a good rest, I am still full of energy so no need to worry," Haru said as Sang-ah nodded.

"Please wake me up first, then Haru-ssi can rest as well," Sang-ah also went to sleep with Hyun-sung asking to wake him up as well.

"Looks like everyone is asleep," Jin-ah said yawning, she wasn't really tired just sleepy since the scenario started both Alea and She didn't sleep like they usually do.

They couldn't let down their guards and their minds were full of questions that couldn't solve thanks to the group chat where Queresha and Zenobia discussed their theories or findings.

"We'll sleep for a bit as well," Alea said as she alongside Jin-ah went to sleep near Haru.

Haru was sitting on the floor currently as Queresha approached him and sat down on his left side.

"You also feel sleepy?" Haru asked as Queresha hugged his arm placing her head on his shoulder.

"...No," Queresha only gave a short answer and Haru just smiled without saying anything further. The inaugural upload of this chapter took place via N0v3l-B1n.

"I am sorry about that, but it is his fault," Hee-won pointed at Haru who was standing in front of them with Queresha.

"Oi Oi, don't go blaming me," Haru's eyes twitched.

"I mean, I was surprised by what you said as well," Dok-ja laughed dryly.

"Yes, What do you mean by 'We can't protect those people without some of us dying'?" Hee-won asked a question that was on everyone's mind. His words did worry everyone since they could see he was serious when he said them.

And to top it all off, he said that as soon as they all sat down, they thought they'll be discussing some strategies or something of that sort. They didn't expect him to start off the meeting that way.

'I mean Haru isn't wrong, at the rate we are going, lives will be lost, It will be either ours or of the people,' Dok-ja understood it after the fight last night.

"It means what you guys are thinking, Even if we had succeeded in doing it last night you can look at everyone's state and it will be clear that we won't be able to do this for the next six days," Haru said as he pointed at the 50 people who were cleaning up the monsters that the frontline missed and supported them so they don't get overwhelmed from all sides.

They all didn't look in their best shape even after resting it was because they didn't have high enough stats like the others, they had felt tremendous physical and mental fatigue because of how tense their nerves were while fighting for eight hours.

"And I am sure I don't need to tell you about how tired you guys yourself were, Because of that we've made a lot of mistakes that could've led to fatal injuries just last night," Haru said as he looked at Queresha.

"Certainly, there were 150 instances in which the second line was in danger of a fatal injury or death, and 68 instances where the frontline was in danger, if I had not intervened by using magic spells to clear the area around them some of them might not have just stopped at injuries," Queresha words couldn't be refuted since they knew it was true, they also know how many times Queresha had saved them last night.

'And Queresha-ssi herself didn't even rest the entire night, she was using mana continuously to support the frontline and also save us if we were cornered, even if she does indeed has a lot of mana, even if she had access to Mana potions the mental load itself would be no joke,' Dok-ja was surprised that Queresha didn't pass out last night since aside from Haru she was the only one who continued without any breaks because if she did the frontline would come crumbling down within minutes.

This won't be an issue if it was just them fighting, but they needed to make sure that no monster reached the group of people behind them, that was the reason it was much more exhausting and nerve-wracking since a single mistake could fuck up the entire plan.

This was especially much more nerve-wracking for Sang-ah and Hyun-sung given their personality. They were more scared of someone dying because of their mistakes than getting injured themselves. This caused them to make some mistakes that could've been bad if not for Queresha.

Also, Dok-ja knew that Queresha did save him on multiple occasions since he was having a hard time keeping up when his skill timer ran out. Sang-ah also knew it since she had fallen into peril a few times only to be helped by Alea or Queresha.

She still wasn't used to facing a large number of opponents and was trying to learn from the people around her or by watching Haru during her rest period, since he was the only one on the west side and he was still able to do it without any issues.

'I need to get better quickly,' Sang-ah understood that time waited for no one, If the problem was in front of her, it wouldn't matter if she could handle it or not, she'll have to face it.
