With the Chief's order, everyone started to go back to their huts to pack their belongings which in reality are just mostly food and beast fur

The tribesmen don't desire much. As long as they are safe and could eat their fill then they would be satisfied

Rezen can understand the Chief's consideration but she is still being dumb. If Philome and Wermon decided to use force, no one here would be able to resist

Since they still don't understand how dangerous the situation was, Rezen has no choice but to show them

Rezen turned his head at the two that doesn't seem to know what they should do as they watch the tribesmen move to pack their belongings

"Sister Philome, Brother Wermon, can I ask you for a favor?" Rezen asks politely and Philome looks at him before nodding her head

"Can you demonstrate your power for everyone to see?" Rezen said

The Chief might have an idea of how strong the representatives are but having a guess and witnessing it personally are still two completely different concepts

What Rezen wants is to indirectly intimidate the tribesmen so that they would rethink their choices

"Demonstrate our power?" Philome mumbled and at first, she doesn't understand what Rezen wants to achieve by that but she soon understood it and she nodded her head

After getting the approval, Rezen spoke loudly so that everyone could hear him

"Everyone please wait a minute! I ask Sister Philome and Brother Wermon to do something. Why don't we watch them first?" Rezen said and after he almost desperately begged the tribesmen, they finally agreed

"Sister please..." Rezen said to Philome after gathering everyone's attention and the woman nodded her head

As a Spirit Mage, Philome has great flying skills and she once again rode on her flying stick. Her altitude was not too high and everyone could still see her perfectly

She held her magic wand with her right hand as she started to move in the air. She circled around the tribe with an insane speed

As most tribesmen are just apprentices, they couldn't catch Philome's movements at all but it was not her flying speed that was the most impressive

After flying at a fast speed, Philome slowed down as she waved her hand around

She gathered her mana at the tip of her magic wand and she shot streams of wind elemental energy on the ground

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Every streak of energy would demolish several trees at once and her attack speed was also not a joke

The tribesmen would witness the trees in a certain direction get destroyed but the trees in another direction followed suit without rest

This is just the basic of Philome's abilities but the Chief already knew that she is far from being her match

After that, Philome raised her hand as light green energy gathered at the tip of her wand. She waved her hand with a circular movement and soon, towering tornadoes formed

There were five tornadoes in total and each tornado was taller than any of the trees nearby

These tornadoes uprooted the trees they came into contact with. Everyone could see trees being sucked by the tornadoes before they were shredded into tiny pieces

Even the snow was ground into a fine powder that was sprinkled all around which creates a painting-perfect scenery

At this point, everyone already has their jaws on the ground but it doesn't even end there

So far, the things that Philome demonstrated were just simple magic, she hasn't cast a formal spell yet

The tornadoes soon dissipated causing the shredded trees and snow to fall down. This time, she gathered more mana that she previously used as she pointed her wand at the skies

Soon, a large magic circle formed above her, and this magic circle issued a strong sucking force

The trees, the snow, the rocks, everything on the ground floated. If Philome did not purposely avoid the tribesmen, they would also have been sucked by the magic circle

All things that were attracted by the magic circle gathered at a single point, forming a large ball

Even if the bodies of all the members of the Waterside Tribe were condensed into a single ball, they are still smaller than the ball of snow, trees, and rocks

"[Rain of Devastation!]" Philome muttered and the large ball she created broke down into smaller balls of matter

Soon, a rain of small snowballs attacked the land, demolishing a large area as a result

Smoke and snow wafted in the air and pieces of wood flew all around. The tribesmen were also hit by the aftershock and they shuddered from the cold

All of them inhaled sharp breaths. They had never seen such devastating magic in the past

While on average, Junior Mages are only 50% stronger than the mages that are one cycle lower than them, the power still accumulates and some are stronger than the others

The demonstration of Philome was more than enough to bring fear into the hearts of every tribesman and Rezen was no different though he was in a relatively better condition

Rezen after all already witnessed magic that is more devastating than that. 6th fusion mages with their power could shatter mountains and split the seas open after all

Of course, different realms in some ways differ in laws. The higher the rank of the realm is, the harder it is to use magic that could raze the ground

Just look at Rezen when he was still an apprentice mage in the Savage Beast Realm. Because this realm has stronger laws and is clearly on a higher level than the earth realm, his magic was far from enough to shatter a mountain. Even flying has become harder in this realm

The Savage Beast Realm is not a high-ranking realm and Junior Mages at Philome's level could cause such devastation. However, if she was placed in a higher-ranking realm, she might look the same as Rezen when he was still an apprentice mage in this realm

After her demonstration, Philome flew down and returned to the Waterside Tribe where everyone looked at her with both awe and fear

Their strongest family member is Stone Head but even someone like him could not replicate what Philome did just a moment ago

They are in awe of the strong but since Philome is not their family, the tribesmen also felt fearful

"Brother Wermon please..." Rezen said. He instinctively feels that Wermon is stronger than Philome

Since Philome herself could already accomplish such a feat what more for Wermon that seems to be stronger than her?

"That's enough. I understand" the Chief chimed in before Wermon could make a move

She had seen Philome's strength and she knows that even if all the nearby tribes were to join hands, they wouldn't be a match for Philome

She is clearly far stronger than Titane that killed half of the eight Junior Mages that were sent to attack the Metal Sword Tribe

This demonstration also made the Chief see things in a clearer manner

"Are the other representatives as strong as you are?" The Chief asks and Philome nodded her head

"Some are as strong as me and there are also some that are stronger" she answered affirmatively and the Chief took a deep breath

"Would they really force us if we don't join your city?"

Philome answered affirmatively again and the Chief could only sigh helplessly. In front of such power, how could the weak Waterside Tribe possibly resist?

"Since we don't have much of a choice, I hope that you could take care of us" the Chief said sincerely and Philome smiled. She succeeded when she thought that they would fail in convincing this tribe

"I will do my best!" Philome replied and everyone started packing their belongings again but not to hide but to follow Philome and Wermon

They are also waiting for the tribesmen that are out to hunt magic beasts especially Stone Head

While Rezen is packing his own belongings, he suddenly thought of something

"Ivy, Stone Head is a heavens' blessed and according to your previous words, he should be able to reach the 3rd cycle and dominate the nearby tribes. But if we join the City of Hope, a 3rd cycle mage would be nothing. Why did this happen?" Rezen asks

"Heavens' blessed simply have more fortune than the others but the effect of their fortune aura are not absolute especially those that have low fortune aura"

"Heavens' blessed with the help of their fortune aura could luckily stumble upon and discover priceless treasures or gain strong masters to guide them"

"However, the weaker the fortune aura and the stronger the variable is, the higher the chance that the fortune's aura effects would be null"

"Just because a person is blessed by the heavens doesn't mean they could already disregard high-ranking powers. If the variable is strong enough, even the fortune aura couldn't save the heavens' blessed"
