Chapter 595 - Finally, wedding

Name:My Beautiful Love Author:Avalorian_
The next day was the 5th of June, 2xxx - the day of Lu Meili's and Mu Zhichen's wedding.

Since Lu Meili loved the sea vey much, their wedding was being held on an island. It was a late afternoon wedding, and the rays from the setting sun shone against the sea, making it a more fabulous scenery. The waves of water stretched onto the land from time to time, rendering the venue dream-like.

There were many guests, and since her fans all wanted to witness Lu Meili's wedding, there were several reporters from the nation's top media houses, and the wedding would be broadcast live.

In her room, Lu Meili sat in front of the mirror as Small Xixi put on her make up. Since it would look better with her dress and the wedding decorations, she chose nude make up.

Her eyes were thinly lined, letting her naturally long lashes stand out against her big eyes.

Her long hair was in soft waves and was arranged neatly to fall to her back before a  diamond tiara was put on her head. Against her hair, it looked like several diamond star fish joined together into a beautiful curve.

When the girls were done helping her dress up and put on make up, Small Xixi pulled the chair and Lu Meili stood up slowly.

"Oh my god! Whose bride is this? She's so beautiful!"

"Mine, of course." Small Xixi said, and they burst into laughter.

"You look so beautiful." Shen Yue was on the verge of tears.

Small Xixi guided Lu Meili to the full length mirror. She stared at the bride behind the mirror. Was this really her?

Her bridal gown had been personally designed by her mother, of course it would look beautiful on her. It was off shoulder and had tiny roses at the chest area. The A-line skirt had a long train that made her feel like she was in a fairytale.

Her lips curled into a smile, her eyes quickly gathering moisture.

"It's a happy day, no tears, okay?" Katy dabbed on her eyes with a handkerchief.

"Mum sure knows your figure best. This is the best wedding gown I've ever seen, and it looks even more beautiful on you." Lu Xian Li commented.

"Sis." A young lad walked in through the door.

"My cute, adorable little brother is here." Lu Meili happily hugged the young lad. He had grown taller in the past year.

She pursed her lips and placed a soft kiss on his cheeks. "You look so handsome. You will surely charm all the girls in the city when you grow up"

Lu Xian Yu ignored the second part. "Thanks sis, you look gorgeous."

Lu Meili's heart melted. Not only had he become more handsome, his tongue was sweeter as well.

The young lad looked at Lu Xian Li. "Second sis, you look pretty."

"Eh?!" The latter's first reaction was to be shocked. This little devil had literally never spoken to her. Since she was not half as persisternt as Lu Meili when it came to him, she didn't manage to get a complete sentence out of his mouth. Forget about a sentence. Even a word was rare.

This wedding was a happier occassion than she thought.

"It's time." Lu Xian Yu reminded.

"I guess this is the last time I'm hugging you as a maiden." Shen Yue hugged Lu Meili tightly. Katy, Lu Xian Li and Lu Xian Yu joined in the hug for a moment before Small Xixi took the bride's hand.

"Eh... wait a second." Lu Meili suddenly said.

Small Xixi was shocked and so was everyone else. What happened?

Lu Meili held the necklace hanging from her neck. "The diamond necklace that mom gave me. I should wear it today. How could I have forgotten?"

Small Xixi blinked. "It only takes a few seconds to change a necklace. Where's the one you want to wear, then?"

"In my purse."

Small Xixi rushed to look for it.

"Is it this?" She held up a diamond necklace with a heart as its ornament.

Lu Meili nodded, happier now. "Help me put it on."

"Eer... what's the difference, wasn't it given to you by your mother, too?" Shen Yue couldn't understand this bride's train of thought.

Lu Meili looked more confident after changing the necklace. "It's different. She bought the first one, while this was personally made by my great grandmother. It's my lucky charm."

Shen Yue finally understood. It was so beautiful. Her great grandmother must have been an excellent designer for such an old necklace to still look this beautiful.

"Okay. Mu Zhichen will get worried if his bride is too late. Let's go."

However, Lu Meili blanked out. Her heart raced.

"What happened?" Small Xixi asked coaxingly. Everyone else was curious too.

"I don't know. I'm suddenly nervous."

"Eer..."

Small Xixi was at a loss. Drinking water would just worsen her nerves. She was still thinking of a way to deal with it when Katy spoke.

"You only have to worry about becoming Mrs. Mu. The girls and I will handle everything else. We will not let anything go wrong on your big day."

"It's not that." Lu Meili frowned. She had envisioned this day and she knew that no matter what went wrong, it would not ruin her mood. She also knew that she didn't mind about what would happen to her career once she got married: a large percentage of her fans were teenagers and may not like the idea of their idol getting married. But if she lost them, she would still gain more adult fans.

However, the feeling right now was foreign. Once she set foot out of that door, she will quickly lose her maiden status and become Mrs. Mu in a flash. She would have something new in her life - a husband and a new family.

This was not similar to being engaged. It was not similar to those wedding scenes she acted in movies and television dramas either.

She had already made this decision long ago and she didn't regret it.

But it was such a huge transition and it was happening in a span of only two hours or even less. How could she not feel nervous?

"Deep breaths..." Lu Meili breathed in and out repeatedly until she calmed her nerves, making everyone heave a sigh of relief.

Small Xixi finally led her out the room.

Before the actual venue, there was a huge  gate decorated in roses and leaves.

Lu Meili pushed it open and the first thing that entered her line of sight, or the first thing she wanted so see, was her groom. He had his charming eyes glued towards the huge gate, awaiting her arrival. When he finally saw her, she could have sworn that his eyes were clouded with tears.

The cats, Whitey and Brownie, which were dressed up as a pet bride and groom, were let to enter right after Small Xixi and the best man. They had small tags labelled 'best cat' and 'cat of honor' respectively hanging from their necks.

When it was her turn, Lu Aotian was waiting for her at the entrance, so she held his arm.

Lu Aotian almost couldn't believe this day was here- the day he would walk his daughter down the aisle and hand her over to her groom.

The handsomely dressed Mu Zhichen felt like he was in a dream. She was finally here, the most beautiful bride he had ever seen, and she was going to be his wife.

Lu Meili's face was covered with a long veil that surpassed the length of her hair.

"I'm sorry I made you wait." She whispered when she finally linked hands with Mu Zhichen.

"It was worth it." The man couldn't be any happier. It was Lu Meili, the love of his life. It wouldn't hurt even if he had to wait for a lifetime.

The two of them walked towards the officiant hand in hand an stood before him.

Lu Meili kept her eyes glued onto Mu Zhichen the whole time. It was not because she was nervous, it was because she just couldn't tear her gaze away from him. He was so handsome in his creamy-white suit today and, if she was being honest to her heart, she had fallen in love with him after spending all those days together. He was kind and patient with her. Who wouldn't fall in love with such a nice man?

Before she knew it, it was time to exchange rings.

Mu Zhichen took the small ring from the pair on the red pillow, held Lu Meili's hand and slid the ring onto her left ring finger.

Taking the other ring, Lu Meili slowly put it on his left ring finger too.

This would be their most memorable moment of this wedding.

"By the authority granted to me by the state, I declare you man and wife." The officiant said, earing a roar of cheers from all the guest present.

"You may now kiss the bride."

As soon as he said this, Lu Meili felt a flush creep onto her face.

Mu Zhichen slowly lifted her veil. Her face looked even more beautiful when she was unveiled.

He held her waist and, whispering how beautiful she looked, placed a soft kiss on her lips.
