Chapter 594 - Wedding 3

The girl walked over shyly, her face blushing furiously. This pretty lady hadn't taken a fancy to her, right? 

But she was seriously so beautiful. The girl would be willing to be taken away by her although she was straight.

"Meili didn't want anything to do with men tonight. It can't be because she's starting to like women, right?"

Lu Meili ignored her friends' weird minds and spoke to the pretty girl. "You girls not only look very young, you don't look willing to be here." 

The girl suddenly looked sad like she had been jabbed. "The two of us are sisters. We came here to earn money to pay off our mother's hospital fees." 

Lu Meili felt her heart ache. "I knew you had a hidden reason. She took out a card from her purse and gave to them. "This is not a place for unwilling young girls to work. I will help you pay your mother's hospital fees if you go back home. In return, you can be my assistants." This was a temporary arrangement. The two girls were overjoyed, thanking Lu Meili over and over.

"And selfless too." Shen Yue added. "Many young heiresses from rich family are mean and proud. They would never help anyone. In fact, they would kick them away." 

Katy had to admit that she had been taught a lesson by her younger cousin. "If they do help anyone, they would put it in a way that looks like charity. Meili even offered them a job." 

Lu Meili didn't expect to recieve such exaggerated praise. "I'm going to pick a song. Share a live broadcast with my husband-to-be." She winked. 

"I have done nothing wrong. Why does Young master Mu's fiancé have to spray me with dog food?" Shen Yue whined, earning laughter from everyone.

The intro to the song started playing. 

"Shush." Small Xixi said to Shen Yue. 

Lu Meili picked a microphone and started singing. 

"One look, and I knew you are the one I've been waiting for." 

That beautiful, sweet voice sent those drunk women right back to soberness. Lu Xian Li was lost in the moment before she remembered to share it with Mu Zhichen. ."

Mu Zhichen's mansion. 

The man was quite surprised when he saw Lu Xian Li send a video call request. 

He had already been informed that the troublemakers had gone to spend time in City D on their own. He didn't expect one of them contact her and it was even Lu Xian Li... did something happen to Meili? 

Was she so anxious that she accidentally tapped the video call function? He hastily accepted the request before words rattled off his mouth. "Xian Li, did something hap..."

In the next second, Lu Xian Li turned the phone's screen to face the girl.

She was holding the microphone in both hands and had her eyes closed. Love was written all over her face and the lryics that left her lips made him gulp. Had she..... fallen in love with him?

Lu Xian Li who was holding the phone was speechless.

Anyone would have guessed this: Mu Zhichen summoned his chauffeur and asked Lu Xian Li to share their location. 

He hopped into the backseat, still watching Lu Meili sing. 

Lu Meili was aware that she was being watched by Mu Zhichen. She switched to the next song, which was a little fast paced. 

Unexpectedly, she broke into dance, swinging her waist and hips to the rythm of her own music. In that short dress, she looked quite seductive dancing such provocative moves. 

Mu Zhichen in the back seat coughed. There wasn't any other man on Lu Meili's side, right? If there was, he would gorge their eyes out. No one was allowed to watch his beauty dance. 

A few songs and the fastest car ride for Mu Zhichen later, Lu Meili was tired. 

She sat back down amid her friends' cheers and exclamations of adoration, pouring a glass of wine. She was sober after singing for such a long time. To be exact, Lu Xian Li was the only one who had drunk a lot of wine. She was getting drowsy.

"We should go to our hotel room now." She said, before tapping Lu Xian Li. 

At this moment, the door opened. 

Mu Zhichen walked in, panting from having rushed too much. His hair was sligfhtly messy and so were his clothes. 

Lu Meili turned to look at him with her eyebrows raised. "Mu Zhichen, why are you here?" 

Mu Zhichen walked to her side with a wide grin. "You were not expecting me?" 

Lu Meili scratched her headnervously. "I kind of... thought you would come. Doesn't that always happen in dramas?" 

Mu Zhichen laughed. "Clever." 

The girls pretty much guessed his next move so they remained silent. 

Lu Meili looked at them and sighed. "You came at the right time. We cannot drive in this state." 

Mu Zhichen tugged her hand. "Don't worry. I will have someone drop them off at your hotel. Let's go somewhere else." 

"But tonight, we were going to spend the night together." Lu Meili hesitated. 

"No no. Forget about us." Shen Yue said, earning approval from the other two.

His coaxing tone and their insistence made it impossible for Lu Meili to say no. She simply agreed to go.

A few minutes later, Lu Meili blinked and looked at her sorrounding. Her heart was racing. "You brought me to a hotel room?" 

Mu Zhichen cupped her small worried face. "I know what you are thinking. We will only stay here but we won't share a room." 

Lu Meili's tension relaxed. 

"Sweetie, I want a live performance." Mu Zhichen suddenly demanded, looking into her eyes. He had a fitful expression, like a child throwing a tantrum. 

"Pfft.So you came here for this." She was just starting to wonder what exactly brought him all the way to City D. 

"What's wrong with it? I can't follow my wife?" 

"There's nothing wrong with that. Except... I'm really tired right now so a live perfomance is impossible at the moment." 

Mu Zhichen looked slightly disappoined. He had only seen her dance on screens. He wanted to see it live. 

Seeing his face that looked like that of an abandoned puppy, Lu Meili stretched her hand to barely pat his head. "I'll dance for you on our wedding night." 

Mu Zhichen gazed at her. "Wouldn't you be tired?" 

"No matter how tired I am, I will owe you." 

Mu Zhichen's lips curled into an evil smile. "A strip dance?" 

Lu Meili's eyes shot wide open. She grabbed a pillow on the bed and smashed his face. "You dirty thug! I want to go to my room now." 

Mu Zhichen feigned innocence. "There were no rooms left, so I booked one." 

"But you just said that we would not share a room!" They were going to be married in just one day and a few hours. Was he so impatient? 

Knowing what she was thinking, he grabbed his coat. "I booked this room for you. I will go back to the capital." 

"Huh? It's already so late." 

"Then I'll find another hotel." 

Lu Meili knew that there were very few hotels in this city. She also knew that the hotel Small Xixi had booked for them was far away. She really didn't want to move an inch. She shrugged her shoulders. "Never mind. Just stay here. You are my fiancé anyway. However, keep your distance." 

Mu Zhichen nodded like an obedient child. It was already good enough to be able to stay in the same room... and on the same bed.

Mu Zhichen was still in the room. "You're awake. Wash up and we'll go out for lunch. Your friends arewaiting for you."
