Chapter 457 - The place she always wished to go

Lu Shaoting wasn't to blame. After all, Little Jia was just so adorable that even she couldn't help liking her. 

She could only hope that her own child would be as cute. 

She was not jealous about Lu Shaoting's love for Little Jia since she was their niece after all; but there was no mother who wouldn't want her child to be the cutest thing on earth, was there? 

Even if that child was not the cutest, it would be the best in its mother's eyes. 

Su Ling unconciously rubbed her belly. "Shaoting, what will we name our baby? Is it too early to start thinking of names?" 

Lu Shaoting snapped back with a light laugh. "Not at all. Why don't you think of a boy's name? I'll think of a girl's name." 

Su Ling ran her hand over her stomach, her eyes expressing her blissfulness. "If it's a boy, let's name him Shihan. I've always wanted to name my son this way if the heavens granted me one." 

Lu Shaoting liked the sound of the name as well. "Then if it's a girl, let's name her Shiyao." 

Su Ling was happy about how much her fiancé accomodated her. Many men would think that naming children before knowing their gender was a waste of time. 

But her man doted on her so much that he wouldn't deny her anything. 

"You said you had something to say to me?" Lu Shaoting reminded. 

"Yes. It's good news. I've been promoted to be the Vice CEO of MAX." 

"That's great news. My sister-in-law is very fair." 

Contrary to her expectation, Lu Shaoting did not think that it was because Wan Jia and Su Ling were friends. 

Of course this was because he knew just how hardworking his Su Ling was. It wouldn't be a surprise even if she was made to be the Vice CEO of EFW, let alone MAX. 

Besides, Wan Jia was one who looked at how deserving one was, not at how close their friendship was. 

If she were to only consider friendship, Lu Enterprises would have been completely ruined by her a thousand times already. 

"Vongratulations my love." He clinched his glass with Su Ling's. 

Su Ling looked down at her glass of milk. It was already enough that she could not drink wine. Did he have to rub it in her face? 

Lu Shaoting laughed at her expression. She looked so cute that he wanted to pat her. 

At that moment, his phone chimed. It was a reminder from his sectetary that he was to attend a meeting in one hour. 

He frowned slightly. There was still one hour before the meeting started, and she was reminding him now? Was she being serious?

"You have to go back to work already?" Su Ling asked. Her tone was slightly sad. The Lu brothers were always busy. Although they always made time to be with their wives, she was worried that Lu Shaoting might be overworking himself. 

The man understood the reason for her sad tone. He stuck out a hand to tousle her hair. "Are you worried that I will work too hard and get tired? Don't worry, I would never go beyond the level that my body can handle." 

"You are not allowed to rest for less than six hours every day."  Her tone was rather displeased. Who did these Lu brothers think they were? A pair of robots? 

They would work endlessly and only rest a little, as though their bodies were machines. Even machines needed maintainence. 

Lu Shaoting felt helpless when he heard his fiancée's warning because he rarely slept for that long. Sometimes when he was extemely busy, he would even sleep for two hours. 

When he saw that Su Ling was waiting for his answer, he could only promise. "Honey, I can't guarantee that I will rest for that long every single day, but I will be sure to do so on most days."

Su Ling was happy now. Since he said so, he would try his best. "I will watch you closely. Every time you overwork yourself, I will refuse to speak to you for a week." 

Lu Shaoting facepalmed. "Honey, don't be like that. If you did not speak to me for a single day, I would die. What would happen to me if you ignored me for a week?" 

"The same thing that would happen to me if you contracted some ailments as a result of little rest. Honey, I love you so much. Why can't you be good and take good care of yourself?" 

"Shouldn't it be the woman taking care of her man?" 

"That's exactly what I'm doing." She looked as though she wanted to whip out a contract for him to sign, with her smug expression.

Lu Shaoting could not retaliate and agreed to this condition. He would try to rest on time evey day. 

"There's still one full hour before my meeting begins. Why don't we go somewhere for a few minutes?" Lu Shaoting suggested since both of them were done eating. 

"Where do you want to go?" She asked. 

"I don't actually have a place in mind. Is there anywhere you have always wanted to go?" 

As though she was waiting for such a question, she answered immediately. "Adele's." 

Lu Shaoting was taken aback. "A baby clothes and toy store?" 

He knew about it because it was among the best in the nation. He had gone to that store several times to get presents for his little friends; Little Jia, Tangtang and Small Xixi. 

Su Ling was looking down, smiling. "It's actually....the place I've always wished to go. It's also the place I avoided for many years. 

Now that I have a valid reason, can we?"
