Chapter 200.1. I’ll Beat Them!

-Miu’s POV-

A horde of monsters was closing in on Takano Miu.

From within the forest, the sound of sand and the footsteps of numerous demons echoed.

Just by witnessing that scene, even an ordinary person would panic.

Everyone moved to a cleared area with good visibility and formed a formation to counter the approaching monsters.

On top of an armored vehicle, the Royal Guards were nervously aiming their machine guns.

Surrounding them were the Royal Guards, guards, and Miu and her companions, all armed and ready for interception.

Emerging from the forest, various wicked monsters revealed themselves.

There were Guillotine Stag Beetles, larger than bears and with jaws sharper than guillotines.

There were Gousou Kabutomushi, with horns so sharp they could easily pierce through a person, carrying the light of mana.

There were Fang Grasshoppers, insects with fangs despite being bugs.

And there were Armored Centipedes, crawling on the ground and knocking down trees to charge forward as obstacles.

It seemed that the demons were primarily insects.

As evidence of their control, they approached Miu and the others without paying any attention to their surroundings.

“Heheh. Just look at their numbers.”

Old man Martini swallowed his saliva and tightened his grip on the tower shield he held.

“Yeah, it’s about 10 times the expected number. This is our chance to make a killing.”

“It’s worth taking them down, more than anything. I never thought I’d find myself in a situation where I have to fight such a large horde.”

Kongou-neesan wore a strong expression, and upon seeing that, old man Martini smirked in response.

A deafening sound echoed, and the air became tense with the inevitability of a fierce battle.

“Hey, after this battle, let’s go drink.”

“Hmph. If you’re treating, I don’t mind.”

Amidst the sounds of explosions and the cries of monsters, the two exchanged glances as if they understood each other.

From this point on, their lives were uncertain.

A desperate battle was about to begin.

“Well, you two, look ahead. Don’t try to escape from reality.”

Tsubame-san, with half-closed eyes, poked their shoulders and directed their gaze forward.

Martini-san and Kongou-neesan also let out a half-closed sigh.

“But, you know… I thought our lives were on the line.”

“I thought I was going to die…”

A dazzling aurora passed in front of them. The aurora shattered and carved its way through the cleared area, hitting the approaching demons.

“Kyaah, mow them down!”

Mii-chan let her silver-gray hair flutter in the wind, her deep blue eyes sparkling. With a heavy breath, she pointed her little index finger forward.

At her feet stood Poyorin, a diamond-shaped creature that transformed into a cannon resembling a beam cannon attached to a sci-fi anime spaceship.

“Poyopoyo~”

[Diamond Breath]

Within the aurora, countless fragments of diamonds, possessing the highest hardness, were mixed, and Poyorin unleashed its breath.

The breath, or the beam cannon fired from the 5-meter-long muzzle, slid sideways upon hitting the approaching enemies, mowing them down.

“Kii~”

“Gigi~”

“Geww~”

The monsters received the beam of light breath, pierced by the diamonds mixed within it, and fell one by one.

“Kyaa, Poyorin is so cool!”

With a delighted expression, Mii-chan praised Poyorin by patting it with her leaf-like hands.

“Poyopoyo~”

As if rejoicing, the beam cannon at Mii-chan’s feet bounced up.

Even as more monsters appeared, Poyorin’s breath continued without ceasing, exterminating them.

The onlookers, who had prepared themselves for a life-or-death situation, were dumbfounded.

“What is that Poyopoyo…?”

“It had that much power?”

“Just one of them can change the course of the battle?!”

The Royal Guards holding their machine guns, the guards with a determined expression opened their mouths in astonishment.

They had never seen a creature capable of launching attacks of such magnitude continuously, except a high-difficulty dungeon boss.

However, Mii-chan wasn’t careless. Hill Giant in the rear was observing and not approaching, and the undead legion approaching from the opposite side hadn’t shown itself yet.

It was clear that they intended to launch a wave attack, aiming to wear down our forces.

Above all, the breath didn’t possess that much power, despite its appearance. It was merely capable of launching wide-range attacks.

That was reflected in the logs displayed before their eyes.

-Diamond Breath dealt 86 damage to Guillotine Stag Beetle!-

-Diamond Breath dealt 79 damage to Gousou Kabutomushi!-

-Diamond Breath dealt 81 damage to Fang Grasshopper!-

-Diamond Breath dealt 75 damage to Armored Centipede!-

-Diamond Breath made Frigg devour 83 diamonds!-

Logs filled my screen, seemingly overwhelming in number. However, there was no mention of killing them.

I’m secretly analyzing it with Munin, the average level of the enemies was 20 to 22. That meant they likely had around 120 HP.

In other words, the breath hasn’t defeated a single enemy.

It only appeared as if they were blown away spectacularly by the Diamond Breath.

“Everyone, stay alert! The enemies still have HP remaining, so they could quickly regroup and counterattack!”

She swiftly waved her slender hand to draw attention to her surroundings. Unfortunately, the Diamond Breath could only inflict this level of damage.

It was frustrating, but from here on, it would be a life-or-death battle. She tightened her adorable face with a determined expression.

“No way! You think you can still fight in that state?”

For some reason, Kongou-neesan let out a sigh of exasperation, but it was only natural.

She confirmed the enemies ahead once again.
