After the old man left the infirmary, Max took half an hour to collect himself and get his emotions in order before business resumed as usual.

He was discharged from the infirmary and was almost instantly swarmed with reports and lordship work as he was filled in on what happened on the other flanks during the attack and how many losses they suffered.

For him currently paying Angakok's debt back was a very big priority and for that he needed immediate funds to purchase an unbelievable amount of mana potions.

The current estimate he made gave him a conservative number of having to spend 8 billion gold coins since the market prices of mana potions had increased and it would feel like an astronomical number to him which was impossible to liquidate during war times had the clone not looted Kane's corpse.

The clone had very cunningly looted 5 objects of extremely high value from the sovereign's corpse and liquidating any one of them was enough for Max to pay off his debt.

The first object was of course the spear.

[ Sovereign's Spear ] ( Divine ) - An indestructible spear forged in the heart of a dying heart.

It will only reveal its full powers in the hands of a worthy master.

Previously owned by sovereign Kane.

Just this spear could easily be sold around 30-40 billion gold coins. It was quite literally the best spear in the universe and since Max was not a spear user himself it was useless to him.

Selling the spear could improve the Bloodfall clan's finances and service his debt as all that he needed to arrange for was a buyer and sell it as soon as possible.

The second object was his full armour set.

[ Oppressive Armour Set ] ( Divine ) - An armour set forged in fine layers from the bone powder of divine dragon's.

Layer after layer the bone powder was sprinkled, compressed and treated for centuries before being finished off by runic inscriptions and covered by mithril iron.

Lightweight and breathable, it's probably the most comfortable divine armour set out there.

Contains - Body armour, shin guards, arm guards and shoulder pads.

Properties -

•Increases wearer's defence by 220%

•Decreases effects of penetration damage by 90%

•Self healing.

• Reduces magical damage by 70%

It was a very good armour set that Max could use personally, swapping his old set for this one for effectively three or four times better defence.

The third object was an exquisite ring.

[ Ring of the Unyielding Sovereign ] (Divine) - Crafted from the purest Eldarium crystal found only in the deepest part of the Cosmic Abyss.

This ring was once a symbol of power, worn by Sovereign Kane, who reigned unchallenged for centuries.

Properties:

• Boosts the user's mana pool by 50%

• Accelerates mana regeneration rate by 20%I think you should take a look at

• Absorbs ambient mana from surroundings to recharge the wearer

Estimated Price: Around 7-9 billion gold coins.

This ring could be extremely useful for Max himself, boosting his already considerable mana pool and providing an enhanced regeneration rate, making him more formidable in extended battles.

The final object was a pendant.

[ Sovereign's Veil ] (Divine) - A pendant imbued with the essence of voidstone, a rare material found only in black holes, rendering it capable of manipulating space-time.

This pendant was the companion of Sovereign Kane during his countless battles and conquests.

Properties:

• Allows the user to teleport to any known location within a radius of 5 miles, once every 12 hours.

• Creates a minor distortion field around the wearer, reducing the accuracy of enemy attacks by 15%.

• In desperate situations, it can trigger a one-time distortion of space-time, causing confusion and disarray among enemies.

Use of this function will render the pendant powerless and unusable, until recharge over half moon cycle ( 14 days )

Estimated Price: Roughly 18 billion gold coins, due to its rare materials and powerful abilities.

The Sovereign's Veil was a relic of immense strategic value. The teleportation ability provided an escape mechanism, and the distortion field could tilt the balance in a close fight.

Its emergency function could cause chaos among enemy ranks, potentially turning the tide of a battle.

It could be sold for cash, however, given the scale and nature of the upcoming conflicts, Max chose to hold on to this item for his personal use.

The loot was almost instrumental in taking Max's battle abilities to the next level and considering that it also brought a big chunk of revenue for the clan in these tough war times, it could be considered as a windfall.

*********

( Meanwhile Angakok )

Angakok began rethinking if he wanted to take over Max's body when he turned tier6 or if he wanted Max to become stronger at tier7 before making the switch.

The experience fighting Kane was an eye opener for Angakok as it was the first time in several thousand years that he had felt so powerless against an opponent he knew was much weaker than himself.

Letting Max mature more meant that it would be harder to make the switch, but making it early meant that he could potentially be dragged into such uncomfortable fights in the future as well.

After thinking these points through Angakok decided to still go through with the switch once Max reached tier6, but he also decided to not involve himself with the dangerous fights and the monarchs of the universe in the period where he would be weakened.

He had conducted an internal status check on Max's body when he took over his consciousness and he knew now that Max had successfully reached the tier limit, which meant that Max could attempt the tier6 promotion test any moment now since he had already achieved stat maximisation during his training in the time chamber.

The moment Angakok was so desperately waiting for was drawing closer and closer and the only thing saving Max now was the tier promotion test.

Once Max became a god, Angakok would finally make his move and cash in on all the troubles he had taken to raise Max.
