CH 39.2

Name:Married To A Savage Duke Author:
Inside her new bedroom under the warm sunshine, Cherryl sat in front of the dressing table while blinking her heavy eyelids early in the morning.

Lily, who was combing her long hair, saw her yawning and suggested carefully. “If you’re still tired, please get some more sleep, My Lady.”

Cherryl shook her head as she drank her black tea, which contained a large amount of caffeine.

“No. I want to get into the habit of getting up early now.”

When she lived in the spire at District Four, her daily routine was to wake up late at noon, eat brunch in her bedroom, take a walk around the place, enjoy refreshments with her maid, wash up, and go to bed.

She wanted to live a more diligent life after moving to her original residence.

Anyway, all Cherryl did these days was walking around the main castle.

However, she didn’t want to show laziness not when she was within the radius of a workaholic who tend to his responsibilities so persistently that he didn’t even want to sleep at night.

“Where are you going today?”

Lily tied half of Cherryl’s hair together and crossed it nicely at the center of the back of her head.

“Well, I’ve been to almost all the places on the ground floor so where should I go today? Can you recommend a place to visit?”

Lily seemed to think for a moment.

“How about the library?”

“You mean the library on the top floor?”

“So you’ve heard of it, My Lady. The main castle’s library here is as large as the Great Library of the Royal Palace. If it wasn’t a private property, there would have been a lot of tourists  coming here from the southern region.”

The main castle’s library in District One was a five-story building and it was the only place she was interested in after Cade was persecuted as an adopted son.

She almost forgot about it because her memory was fading.

Cade’s heart was attached to this particular place at Blkanov Castle which already felt like a living hell.

Nobody heard this story before but she was still able to obtain this information through the novel a long time ago.

It was a secret that no one knew except her.

Cherryl had a hunch that nothing would have changed much even if the plot development had become so twisted.

“Just standing in that magnificent place made me feel smart. It is a place full of knowledge and information. When I first set foot in the library, I was so proud to enter the main castle and become the current Archduke’s maid.” Lily revered the library with exaggerated gestures. “If  a book is not there, it won’t be anywhere in Loperan Empire.”

“If that’s the case, I should visit the library today no matter what.”

As the maid made a fuss, Cherryl’s eyes crinkled when she smiled.

There was a time when she also loved reading and her willingness to read interesting works continued from her previous life.

Under the influence of her biological mother, who read her storybooks every day, she turned into a reading fanatic she couldn’t take her hands off books even when she was lying down in bed until the Marquis Milose sold all the books in his study.

Once she couldn’t access books anymore because all of them had disappeared, she naturally avoided reading.

It was good news that there was a library in the place where she would live in the future.

“Lucy must be at the servant’s quarters now. I’ll send you to the third floor as soon as you’re ready, My Lady.”

“Thank you, Lily.”

“You’re welcome.”

After dressing her hair, Lily took a box of ornaments from the shelf.

“What accessories would you like to wear? Do you want to wear a sapphire ring that goes well with your eyes, My Lady?”

“The jewelry is fine. It is better to go out in comfortable garments rather than dressing too much.”

“Alright. Then, please wait a minute in the bedroom. I’ll get Lucy.”

Lily smiled kindly as she said so.

As a maid who had a lot of things to do, Lucy was keeping Cherryl company while sightseeing instead.

She was grateful that the servants were willing to understand.

Still, Lucy was sensible enough not to be with Cherryl all the time and she steadily learned her work and maintained a good relationship with the rest of the maids.

Shortly after Lily left the room, Lucy entered her bedroom.

The two, who were also going to explore the gloomy northern castle today, headed to the library at the top.

Climbing these endless stairs was exhausting so both of them rode an elevator.

The lift, decorated with reddish-brown wood with a beautifully engraved interior, was able to climb to the top floor without difficulty after the servant pulled the gear device once.

Upon hearing the news, Lucy lavished the Grand Duke with praises all the way to the library.

Eventually, the two women, who reached the top floor and entered the library, opened their mouths at the same time as Lily had promised.
