Chapter 47 Raise of the Sin of Pride

47 Raise of the Sin of Pride

A few days later,

Two silhouettes on horse back slowly made their way through a narrow crossing in the heaven devourer mountain range.

One was a male in leather amour and a cloak covering his head. He looked mysterious and deadly.

The other was a beautiful female with blue eyes and long luscious hair as white as snow. She had a cold expression on her face, but even then, it couldn't mask her beauty. She was stunning.

"Halt!!!" As they approached the edge of the heaven devourer mountain range crossing, a voice sounded from on top a particular formation of rock.

"Hm?" The lady turned to look over at where the voice emanated from, and her gaze landed on the silhouette of a man in black pointing an Arrow at her.

"Who are you with?" The man asked while nocking the arrow with more force. He was part of the guard team meant to monitor the mountain range. So he had to know who was coming and who was going.

"Tamlin" the lady spoke gently before pulling out a torn up flag with the tamlin group's insignia on it and letting it fall to the ground.

"Hm? The Tamlin group? They already left here a few days ago. You must think I'm stupid" the man frowned then pulled his Arrow string harder.

If she had mentioned another group, he might have been a bit skeptical, after all, there were a few others still in the mountain range. But the Tamlin group had left in a very big way.

They dragged the clan leader of the blood serpent clan in chains out of the mountain range for the whole world to see.

It was a sight to behold, the leader of the blood serpent clan, who had done so much damage to the hunters, was bound by chains and dragged out by the tamlin group.

"We got separated during the battle, that's all" the lady explained but

"Don't bother explaining, we have to go over the outpost and verify your identity. There's nothing I can do about it." The man didn't believe her, his job was to make sure no unauthorized person made it passed this area, and he took it seriously.

The lady would just have to bow her head and follow him.

"I don't have the time for that"

However, he didn't expect that she would refuse outrightly.

"You think you have a choice?" Irritated by her response, the man pulled back his bow once again, aiming directly for her head. If she proved stubborn, he would end her life.

But apparently, Leon had plans already in motion to do much more damage than she could conceive. His staying in the Tamlin camp for so long was not without reason, he was just playing the long game.

"Don't worry, I will tell you on the way there" Leon said before turning his horse around and leading the way into the forest in front....

Tamlin group's main camp.....

"The death squad is badass, I can't believe they did all that." At the front gate to the tamlin group camp, two guards stood side by side discussing.

They had heard the stories of what happened in the heaven devourer mountain range from death squad members and couldn't help but be excited and shocked.

A serpent the size of several buildings and the head of the blood serpent clan went up against them, and they came out on top. It was a thrilling story, and had shot the reputation of the death squad by several folds.

"Hehe, you want to join them?" The other guard said with a bit of Mockery. Even though what happened made their blood boil, they still wouldn't want to join the death squad. Just the death toll of this Mission was enough deterrence.

"Change the topic," the guard said with the side of his eyes looking around cautiously. The death squad was severely undermanned after this mission and was searching for people to join.

If they heard them talking about joining, they would be transferred for "showing interest"

"Haha, that true."

They both immediately changed the topic , but unknown to them, on the path not too far away, a silhouette in leather amour on horseback made its way towards them slowly.

Soon the sound of the horse became audible to them, forcing them to look over at the person approaching the camp.

In front of them, a lady far too familiar to them stood. Even though her hair color had changed, they knew her cold gaze and beautiful face.
