“Wake up… and take your turn.”

“Hmm…Understood.”

Unlike the usual fluffy, comfortable bedding, I was able to get up as soon as I was called, probably because it was a sleeping bag.

“Elira, Carina, let’s go!”

“Understood.”

“Yes!”

Elira was a bad sleeper and Carina seemed to be a good one. I quickly put on my gear and left the tent first.

“Sophie, did you find any monsters?”

“Yes, I found a few, but they were all D-rank, so no problems at all.”

“I’m glad to hear that.”

As expected, the monsters seemed to have appeared.

While Sophie and I were talking for a while, Elira and Carina came out from the tent.

“Then I’m going to bed.”

“Good night.”

Then Sophie went into the tent where we were sleeping. It looks like we will only need one tent tomorrow.

“Then let’s take the watch.”

And we kept watch until six in the morning. The monsters appeared, but Sophie was right, they were of D level. Carina took them all down.

In the morning I woke up Sophie and Shana, ate breakfast, cleaned up, and we started running again.

“You can see the wall already.”

“Yes, we can.”

A little earlier than expected, we were able to come to the wall before midnight.

I made sure there was no one around and approached the wall.

“Well then, Nii-sama, please.”

“Oh, Yug.”

“Yes. Please give me your magic power.”

I took Yug out of me. Then I gave her magic power until she told me it was okay. I gave her about 15 minutes as time. It seems this transition is inefficient in terms of magic power.

“Well then, let’s go! Transference!”

A light enveloped the six of us, including Yug, and the next moment we were in the deep forest beyond the wall.

“I’m a little tired, as expected. I need some rest.”

“You can take a good rest. Thank you.”

“No problem.”

Yug, who had transferred us, returned into me. It was hard for her to move the five of us, even though she was Yug.

“It’s too early to set up camp now, so why don’t we take a break and go into the deep forest for a bit to kill some monsters?”

“Sure.”

“That’s fine.”

“Nn.”

“Yes.”

There was no particular objection from the four of us. So, after a half-hour break, we headed into the deep forest.

“I want to do it first.”

“Okay.”

After walking for about 30 minutes, we immediately came upon a dog-like monster. Shana said she wanted to deal with it, so we decided to leave it to her.

“I’m going.”

Shana said and headed toward the monster that hadn’t yet noticed us.

“I won.”

“Good job.”

Shana was able to win against an A-ranked monster without a hitch. Looking at it now, one A-rank would be no problem. But if it comes to three or four at the same time, it will be a little tougher.

After collecting that monster, we started walking again. Soon after, we found the same monster again.

“Carina, you’re up next.”

“Yes…”

“If you are in danger, I will help you right away, so you can do it with all your might.”

“Yes!”

This time, I decided to have Carina take down the monster, which was perfect since she had already seen it in action once in the Shana fight.

“I’m going!”

With that, Carina headed toward the monster.

“Good job.”

“I managed to win…”

Carina was also able to defeat it by herself, at least for the moment. However, unlike Shana, there were a few close calls. I almost helped her. It would still be difficult for Carina to take on the A rank by herself.

“Hmm?”

Carina’s battle lasted longer than Shana’s, so perhaps they heard the sound of battle, three monsters came at the same time. 3 monsters would be enough for me, Sophie, and Elira to defeat one each.

“I’ll do it alone.”

“No…haa…thanks.”

I wanted to say that I would do it too, but I realized that Elira did not seem to be willing to give up. So I decided to give it up this time.

“Water polo.”

Elira used her spirit magic to trap the three in a ball of water. Then, with a squeeze of her open hand, the water was compressed into a small ball, along with the monsters inside, which were struggling to get out. The monsters could no longer retained their original form.

“Water blade.”

Elira cut off the head of the monsters in the water, just in case.

“The ideal way to defeat a monster is to do it this way without much noise, if you can afford it.”

Elira’s battle was almost soundless. It may indeed be the ideal way to defeat them. This way, no other monsters would come close to us.

“Okay, then, let’s look for the next one.”

After that, we hunted a few more monsters. Everyone was able to fight at least twice. That should be enough for the first day.

“Then we should back and set up camp.”

And we went back the way we came and started preparing to set up camp.
