Chapter 271 - Let go of Leonard

With a satisfactory smile, Clara left her almost motionless on the floor and left.

But that was after giving her a warning that she must not see her around Leo anymore.

She must not call his number or send him any messages.

...

Immediately Clara left, with great pain and continuous tears, she crawled all the way to her room, leaving traces of blood from her nose and other bleeding places on the floor.

She was crawling on all four, not able to stand up. Clara had once mentioned that she would mark territory on her, and she did.

After a few hours.

Sharon was on her bed, wrapped in her quilt.

There was a knock on her bedroom, but she ignored it and lay still.

It was Angela. Luckily for Sharon, she came to forgive what she did and felt that this isn't the appropriate time to turn her back on Sharon.

She knocked again and still no response, but seeing her laptop broken in the living room, she assumed that she must have done it out of annoyance and felt more bad.

She believes friends shouldn't leave each other during these delicate times, especially after what she recently went through.

"Sharon, are you there?" She asked and still no reply.

Angela couldn't take and opened the door.

She saw her figure on the bed with a quilt covering her body. She walked closer to her and sat beside her.

She still refused to react.

"I'm sorry babe. I shouldn't have lost it on you like that, but that doesn't mean you were right either. You shouldn't have tried that with me when you know I have someone I'm seeing. Even if I don't, I don't think that's the right step to take.

I.. i. Just don't think it's right for me to turn my back on you because of a kiss, but you have to promise me that it won't happen again.

I went to your office and your assistant said that you haven't shown up since the day of the wedding, so, hum, I'm sorry for being too harsh?" Angela said, grimacing and then bit on her lower lip  but didn't receive any reply from Sharon who had started crying, immediately Angela began speaking.

She couldn't believe Angela is back. She thought she would never forgive her, but here she was, coming on her own.

She couldn't ask for more, because she's just so grateful with this lady in her life.

"Common babe, I said I'm sorry." Angela said.

Hearing no reply from her again, "Are you okay?" She asked, trying to pull the quilt, but Sharon held it tightly, not letting her succeed.

One thing is clear to Angela, she's alive.

"It's fine. I will come back next time, then. It seems you don't wish to talk to me today." She said and stood up, while Sharon cried more.

She didn't want her to leave, yet didn't want to disappoint her again. She will surely be pissed if she learned about what she did to Leo and Clara's honeymoon.

Angela turned to leave, hoping that it would make her react and it was during her looking back to see if she really didn't mind her leaving that something caught her attention.

"Blood?" She asked herself, feeling confused as she headed toward Sharon's dressing table.

She saw the small waste bin beside it, filled with blood soaked cotton wool, and there are some blood stains on the floor beside the dressing stool as well.

She rushed back to the bed and pulled the quilt from her body with force, before seeing her state.

"Oh my god!" She gasped and covered her mouth with her palms.

Sharon's face doubled its former size. There are bruises and deep clotted like forms  on her face and neck as well. She looked completely different, like she was reborn ugly.

Lips look 5 times the former size, swollen and sagging with cuts on it.

"Did you get into an accident?" Angela asked with tears welling up in her eyes.

Sharon looked away, sobbing.

"I got into a fight with Leo's wife." She said.

"Oh god! Not this Leo again. She did this to you? What did you do Sharon?" Angela asked, because if Clara really did this, she believed that Sharon must have done something to trigger her wrath.

"I ruined their honeymoon. She said I hurt her man's feelings." Sharon said.

She was expecting some scolding, or probably a break up between Angela and her permanently, but was stunned when Angela suddenly hugged her.

"Sharon please. Stop doing this to yourself. Let Leo go, he's married now.

Would you be happy if someone ruined your honeymoon? It's more like one of the best events in a couple's life, and you ruined it for them. I don't care how you did it, just please let him go, even if the lady breaks up with him, he wouldn't choose you next.

You will only end up dealing with another opponent, so please stop, I'm begging you." Angela said, bursting into tears.

"You do not hate me?" Sharon asked.

"I can't hate you, but I won't lie that I'm pleased with you. You are fighting a war with 0% chance of winning, look what she did to you. If you report her, she will still win because Leo would back her." Angela said.

"I hurt her first. She only slapped me, but I hit her with my laptop." Sharon confessed, sniffing her nose as she cried more.

"What!" Angela exclaimed in disbelief, "You hit her first?" She asked.

"Yeah, I f.u.c.k.i.e.d up again." Sharon replied.

"I hope Leo wouldn't take action on you for this, but first promise me that you will let them be." Angela said.

"I promise, I'm tired." Sharon replied.

*****

Clara wound was being tended to by the woman they picked up at her abduction scene.

The little princess chooses to stay with Mick at the mansion, while Mick, after inspecting the woman for a long time, finally trusts her.

But he is not interested in a relationship, and since he can't go to Leo and Clara's new home, he suggested that they took the woman along.

"Your husband is back ma'am." The woman said, as they heard footsteps approaching.

"Ma'am again? Common." Clara whined, pouting her lips.

The woman chuckled. "Clara." She said.

"That's more like it." Clara said with a smile, before hearing the sound of something hitting the floor.

She looked at the bouquet of flowers on the floor, before looking up to meet Leo enraged expression.

He looks like he will set the roof on fire with his glare.

Even the woman shuddered.

"Who did that!" Leo growled, as he dominantly walked closer, staring at Clara's swollen hand, with a small cut on it.

Even though Sharon was only able to execute one hit, she really hit the jackpot.

"Excuse us, please." Clara said to the woman and stood up to welcome him.

"It's nothing." She said grinning and wanted to hug him, but Leo helped her back on the couch and examined the hand, before lifting up her top and saw the side of her tummy red as well.

"Who hit you!" He growled again, making even Clara hold her breath.

"How did you know? My husband is so sharp." Clara said before gasping when Leo yelled again.

"Who the f*ck dare to hit you, Clara!"

"Stop being dramatic about this, I got into a fight okay? You look scary….damn." Clara said.

"With who?" Leo asked, glaring at her swollen hand.

"Sharon." Clara said, but before she could explain further, Leo who now thinks that Sharon had hit the last junction brought out his phone with speed and made a call.

Clara wasn't sure what he wanted to do until she heard him say. "Kill that woman.''

She quickly snatched the phone from him before he could mention Sharon's name, because it seemed the person was asking who he wanted to kill.

"Give it…." Leo couldn't complete his sentence as Clara pulled him into a kiss with force while he struggled to break free.

But Clara didn't release him until he kissed her back. "I went to her place myself and I'm sure she wouldn't be able to leave her room for the next one month or more. I marked some territories on her face." She said smiling.

"Clara, I can't tolerate her anymore. My being considerable is really getting back at me, look at your hand." Leo said and shook his head, still looking determined. "I won't let it pass this time."

"Trust me, she had it worse. She is just lucky with this. The swelling is due to me punching her with the hand. Consider it a girl's fight and don't interfere please." Clara pleaded.

Leo remained silent, looking very angry still. "What's the flower about?" Clara asked, changing the subject.

"Forget it." Leo replied with an angry expression and left for their room in annoyance after calling the woman to continue with the treatment.

He wanted to help, but couldn't bear the sight of her hand looking like that, and not being able to get revenge for her.

"You bitch! I just saved your ass." Clara said in her mind, heaving a sigh of relief as she watched Leo left.
