Chapter 220 - The demon lord is gone for good

She slowly opened her eyes and felt a soft hair tickling her skin, at her neck area.

She smelled the familiar nice scent of Leo and her heart eased a little. She felt her annoyance subsidies a bit, before she suddenly recalled something and lifted up her hand to touch her hair.

She felt the smooth skin and finally accepted that it really happened. She had gone bald.

She let out a soft sigh.

Leo heard her sighed and raised his head to look at her. He stared at her clear emerald eyes and damn.

Even without her hair, she looked so pure and beautiful. Her eyes sparkling like a newly born that just opened her eyes to view the world.

"How could you look this mesmerizing?" Leo looked shocked, when he realises he has said his thoughts out loud.

Clara smiled softly, but it was obvious she was not happy. She need to look for a way to save her friend and not die in the process, because she knew that if Sonya regained her memory and learned that she killed, it would hurt her more than being turned to a demon bride.

"I am, indeed." She said.

Leo couldn't help it. He thought he had lost and she was here in his arms and fully conscious. He leaned closer to her lips and pulled her into a soft kiss.

Clara felt his shaky lips kissed her softly, and she felt bad. Even though he was trying to look strong, she could feel his uneasiness through his kiss.

He parted lips with him slowly and she pull his head to her chest, hugging it tightly.

'I'm sorry for all these.' She said in her head.

Leo breathe in and out on her scent and let his nerves calm in her embrace. He was so scared, and if not for a part of him that believed a male shouldn't shed tears just anyhow, he really felt like crying.

He just wants everything to become fine again.

To this headache to come to an end.

The little princess had her arms crossed, as she stared at the two.

First, they touched their mouth with each other, which she wondered why they did that. It was not included in the stories her ancestors told her.

Secondly, Leo was not even talking about Sonya that kept flashing her eyes through the hair, and even rested her head on Clara's chest, when he was not a baby.

She remembered her grandmas doing that same with her, but Leo is big and he still acted like a baby. She was confused by the whole thing.

She couldn't take it any longer. "Hello! Are we going to just leave her like this? What if she escaped." She said.

"Oh right!" Leo exclaimed, before pulling away from Clara.

"You need to see this." He said, pointing at Sonya's direction.

Clara stood up and turned toward the direction that Leo pointed at.

Clara was shock silly and couldn't believe her eyes.

Seeing her in a daze, Leo explained what happened. "She tried to kill you. She had even blown away your door as well."

"It's really her." Clara muttered under her breath after confirming her thoughts through Leo's explanation.

The little princess rolled her eyes. "Daddy, she was about to kill you." She said.

Clara's eyes suddenly widened, "what!" She exclaimed looking at the little princess's direction.

"Daddy pissed her off when she was going after you, so she tried to kill him first, then your hair did this." She said.

Clara's heart leaped at her words. Leo almost died?

She felt horrified at the thought. What would she have done if anything happened to him?

She turned to look at him and Leo shyly scratched his head. "It's fine." He said in a low tone that almost made Clara smile.

She slowly walks toward where Sonya was laying and knelt down beside her.

She looked into her glowing eyes through her hair, with tears streaming down her cheeks.

She slowly reached out her hands and held her head. She let her mind travel into her memory, and to her surprise, the memories of her were there.

She saw the ones Gregory planted inside and felt pissed that she ended up losing focus.

She saw the hair around Sonya getting weak and quickly went back in. Sonya doesn't seem to be giving up and trying so hard, which is weakening the hair.

He began returning back to her, the original memories she took.

After giving it all back, she opened her eyes and saw the hair around Sonya suddenly turn to ashes and dissipate.

"Thank you." She whispered before the hair disappeared completely and held Sonya's body to herself.

She wailed and couldn't believe that she have her back. Her friend was safe and sound, which was like a dream she never believed would come through a few minutes ago when she was still wailing and getting so angry at the ancestors' realm.

She picked her up in her arm like it was nothing and Leo who was still feeling sad for her was stunned, but then….

What's there to be stunned about?

Someone who could levitate and moved in a fast motion like a gust of wind raised one human and he find it surprising.

He felt like that idiot.

"Where are you taking her? And is she alright?" Leo asked.

"I'm taking her to her room and yeah, she's fine." She said in a very sad tone, because she dread how Sonya would view her from now.

She might not forgive her and it scares her.

Leo called for a quick repair for the door and called Mike to take Belle home.

After a while.

Clara was crying in Leo's embrace as she stared at the still unconscious Sonya on the bed.

Sonya is fully back to her former self and they only have to wait for her to wake up, but Clara was getting more and more worried.

It's great that Gregory end up falling, thanks to his trick that got back at him. If he had not planned to let himself get killed on purpose, Clara might still be able to defeat him at the end, but there will be a lot of damages.

But now, his trick got back at him. He was gone just like that, after terrorising her ancestors for centuries.

Everything felt like a dream. The demon lord is gone for good.

She buried her head in Leo's neckline. The soft flesh of her head smoothing Leo's chin, as she sobbed.

"I'm scared Leo. What if she doesn't want me anymore? I saw all she went through after I left.

She wasn't happy without me. She felt my absence even though her memories of me didn't exist in her head. I f.u.c.k.i.e.d up.

She said she wouldn't forgive me then. What if she hates me now? She's got quite a temper. I'm so scared." Clara ranted with bitterness in her heart and soul.

She saw everything. Absolutely everything. How she was turned to a demon.

Leo stroked her back gently. "It's okay. You f.u.c.k.i.e.d up. I won't say you didn't.

If you were in her shoes, you would also feel hurt, but it's fine. We are made of flesh and blood. We make decisions we regret sometimes.

We overreact when we shouldn't. We hurt without meaning to and that's what makes us, who we are. We are bound to male mistakes.

The best thing to do after making those mistakes is to make amendments, Clara. What was meant to be would always be.

She might hate you, but make sure you make her understand how sorry you are.

Let her know how much you regret your decision and had always wished to be with her.

Don't hide anything and let her know your fears and what prompt you to act so rashly. She might come around later, and if she didn't, then it is how it is destined to be." Leo said, not planning to sugarcoat anything.

"I'm so selfish, Leo. I actually thought of taking the memories of what happened before we departed as well, because I don't think I can handle her judgement after she wakes up." Clara confessed her earlier thought.

After they brought Sonya in, she thought of taking away the memories of the moments she took her memories, so that she wouldn't have to face her judgment.

She knew it was wrong but she couldn't help it.

She wanted them to go back to how they used to be. Best of friends.

Leo frowned hard. "You are more than selfish. She's a human, not some kind of a toy. You have no right to do that.

She has the right to make her own decision and if you can't deal with it, then you must learn to live with it. Please don't ever have those thoughts again.

You messed up, you should take responsibility and earn her forgiveness." Leo said.
