Chapter 219 - Lost her shield

"This is outrageous, how can this be? I couldn't even get closer to her. She is so powerful. When she screamed, I was thrown miles away.

How can I get close enough to concentrate on giving her back her memory?" Clara broke down in tears.

She avoided her grandma, as she tried to touch her, "don't touch me!" She screamed at the woman.

She held her head and started wailing again. "This can't be." She muttered, looking left and right as if searching for something.

....

Meanwhile, back at Clara's house.

Leo moved back as Sonya approaches, ready to perform a one on one combat. He clenched his fist and still have the gun in a good position to shoot if it leads to that.

If the little princess could read his mind, she would be crying for his foolishness right away.

Sonya wasn't planning to get that close before finishing him off, but suddenly stood frozen.

Leo looked at her and wondered why she suddenly stopped moving. Even though he was acting like a man, he was so scared right now.

Scared that things wouldn't turn out well. Scared to lose the love of his life.

Before he could digest the thought, he saw Sonya started struggling and looking at her feet. She trashed her body and leaned to pull off what kept her from moving.

Leo followed her line of sight, and was shocked as he saw Clara's hair that was spread on the floor started wrapping around Sonya's feet, moving up to her thigh.

Sonya growled and grunted, while trying to summoned her power, but the guardian shield could hold off anything. It sealed all her attempt and slowly cover her up to her head.

It covered her whole being up completely, leaving Clara's head completely bald. Everything vanished from her head and covered Sonya, not leaving any chance of breathing, where she would try using her power.

Sonya entire being came crashing on the floor. The spot where are eyes was situated began glowing red through the hair. The red illuminated through the hair until it died down. It shows that she was still trying to break free.

The little princess was dumbstruck by the turn of event. She thought Leo was about to be killed, but she had no idea what had just happened. She has never heard of this from the history.

That was the guardian shield and it just got separated from Clara. She just lost her shield.

Without the shield, Clara was vulnerable to attacks from demons. It's no different from Leo being dead.

If Gregory were to rise by any chance now, Clara is doomed to be defeated.

Leo rushed to Clara's side and picked her up in his arms. He was just as stunned, maybe more stunned as he stared at her head.

It was as smooth and clear as her skin. Not a single hair or signs that a hair had once grown on it could be detected.

"What just happened?" Leo asked the little princess as he carefully stroke Clara's face, burying his head to her neckline.

He only tried his best to delay whatever Sonya planned. He had no idea they will be safe at last.

At least those are his believe for now.

He was so scared a few minutes ago, because everything seemed insane to him.

Still in a daze, "I don't know." The little princess replied.

"Why is her hair off her head? Will she be alright?" Leo asked. He knew that it's insane to ask such from a little girl, but she is the only hope now.

The only person that could give an answer to all this is her. The door to a house was blown off with just a force from someone's scream.

What could be more weird than that?

Oh! And here is the love of his life that still looked so beautiful and her hair perfectly styles at the birthday event the previous night.

And now she has gone bald.

"I'm not sure about this, but she should be fine." Belle said.

Back at the ancestors' realm.

"Your shield!" Clara's grandma exclaimed as Clara's hair suddenly vanish, leaving her head completely bald and smooth to the extent that the sun was even reflecting on it.

Clara felt something missing as well. She has ruffled the hair and it was tickling her body, but now it's gone.

She raised her two hands and touch her head, feeling the smooth soft skin with her palm.

She was still stressed out since she couldn't go back to the human realm.

It was Leo who knocked her out, so she had to wake up as a normal human will when they lost consciousness and then this happened.

'Can everything be less annoying?' She asked in her head.

She sighed and looked up at the woman. "What does this mean now?" She asked in a weak tone, because she's just very tired at the moment.

"Your shield is gone." her grandma replied.

"What happened to her too?" Clara asked.

After sealing the bond, her guardian shield was like a living being itself and coexisted in her body.

It is finally free since all this time, it has been trying to seduce Leo, and now it's gone.

"I don't know. It's either it's dead or dying." Her grandma explained.

Clara grunt. "Why do I not understand your explanation one bit? Does it not sound ridiculous to you as well?" She asked, but suddenly felt a warmth on her neck line, like someone was blowing a warm breath on it.

It was Leo who was hugging her so tightly and had his head buried in her neckline.

She hasn't been able to hear a reasonable explanation for going bald, when her figure started to dissipate from the realm.

She saw her grandma looking very guilty and also saying something.

She couldn't hear it but knew what she must be asking for

It was all their damn guardian responsibility. She must be trying to her not to lose control and please control her feelings, but she wasn't planning to.

She didn't want to wake up into a world where her friend had been turn to a demon.
