Chapter 179 - Rival

Leo was stunned silly. 

He owns the cooperation, which gave him the privilege to casually chat during the meeting and even excused himself because of it. 

"You were in a meeting and you are busy with your phone?" Leo asked with 3 emojis of a confused person attached.

Clara merely shrugged because she doesn't place any importance on the meeting and just wanted to chat with Leo and then return to get the day's activity done and return home. 

'Its fine, my lord. He said we should have the meeting over dinner later. I will leave after I'm done chatting with you.

I don't like chatting with you while walking, I might walk inside the male restroom without realising it.' Clara replied with an emoji of a blushing person. 

She was taking everything so simple.

A deep frown marred Leo's expression on the other side of the phone.

The person was present and didn't mind her chatting in front of him. 

Why hold the meeting in the first place if they are going to have it somewhere else. 

He wasn't the women-chase type of guy but knew all those logic. It was definitely an interest and wanting to know her better. 

'What did you discuss with him before he said that?' Leo asked. 

'Not much. I just told him I'm surprised by his stunning appearance, that I was expecting an old man with a pot belly and all.' Clara replied.

"What!" Leo was awestruck. 

Was this woman dumb or stupid? 

He gripped his phone in frustration. A deep sigh escaped his lips and he felt like he should disappear in their midst at that instant. 

'don't you know that there are things one shouldn't speak out loud?' Leo replied again, but didn't add any emojis. 

'What's wrong with it?' Clara replied with a confused expression, which made Callum smile at how she looked damn cute with that expression. 

He massaged his jawline. She's just too mesmerizing, no matter what expression she puts on. 

Seeing that his adorable feisty lamb was just dumb, maybe stupid included, Leo typed.

'What is he doing right now?' he asked. 

Clara looked up instantly and met with Callum smiling at her. It wasn't the formal smile like a boss would give to her worker. 

It was so sweet and warm like one would do, when you're deeply attracted to something. 

'hum….. he is smiling at me.' Clara replied, feeling like she had done something she shouldn't do, just like always. 

She never ceased to make errors. 

But still, she didn't know exactly what it was. What has she done wrong in particular? 

'Are you an idiot? Don't you know that sort of words piqued a man's interest, especially when he realises you are just speaking casually without any interest in him?' Leo replied with an angry person emoji attached. 

It was childish but he couldn't hide his feelings.

'I didn't know. It was just a funny remark out of...' Clara replied with a dull expression.

She typed in 5 pensive emojis and send jt. 

'Leave there right now. If you want to model so much, I could purchase a skincare company and you can work there after.' Leo replied. 

'It's not like that, I'm not even using the product, it's just quick money.' Clara replied, with an expression of someone who finally realises her wrongs.

Callum bit down on his lower lip seductively at Clara's changes in expression.

He was barely into women, but this one had piqued his interest within a few minutes. 

She should be fired right now, but he wouldn't mind giving her a promotion instead. 

What a rare gem among ladies. He thought. 

She was so carefree and wasn't acting fake. Maybe a little childish with the way she responded to questions, but still very cute. 

'Leave his office now, and do not attend any dinner. If he has something to say to you, let it be within the company's premises. And Also, you really need to be taught a lesson, woman. 

You wait till I get a hold of you.' Leo replied, dropping his phone in annoyance, and he could imagine how the guy would have feasted on her face since they began chatting.

His fist balled and vein popping from his face that looked drained of energy from lack of sleep. 

He seem pissed, but he knew how dumb Clara was when it comes to talking to man. She speaks what comes to her mind.

"Bye." 

Clara quickly got up on her feet, leaving the puzzled Callum alone and rushed out, feeling like an idiot. 

How could she be so stupid?

Damn, she really needed to do something about her mouth. 

"Interesting." Callum said with a smirk. 

He called his assistant immediately and asked for any details put down on Clara to be sent to him. 

He looked like a kid that just got a new toy and couldn't wait to learn how to operate it. 

His face couldn't drop the smile on it, because the image of her was edged to his memory already.

Clara got outside the office and even though it wasn't grave, the thought that Leo might be angry scares her. 

She had come to like him so much within that short span, that the thought of him frowning didn't sit well with her. 

She decided to make sure she visits him. She needed to make sure he wasn't angry with her. 

Yes! That is what she had to do. 

That way, she could even get to fill up the missing feelings. 

A small smile played on her lips as she began walking away. 

Leo on the other hand, was now sitting in front of his laptop and his frown just deepened more and more. 

He was checking up on the so-called CEO Callum. And my oh my! The dude is indeed very handsome. 

No scandal. 

His records were clean, which proves that he wasn't the promiscuous type, but if that is the case, it only bothers him more. 

If Clara piqued his interest, then he will want something serious. The thought that another man was eyeing the love of his life, made his gaze turn sharp. 

He stared at the picture of the smiling man, who was receiving awards for one of his achievements on the news and had the look of, 'you better mind yourself.'

He wouldn't think twice before crushing his dream if he chases after his woman.

He didn't want a rival.
