Chapter 150: Rod of Goblins

Name:Human King Author:Zaysay
"I am the tribal chief's son. In other words, I am the next tribal chief." The little goblin said as he looked down.

After all, he was the next tribal chief, but his tribe was destroyed. Of course, he would have some complicated feelings about this situation.

And the fact that he could even have emotions while being a normal goblin is something he should be proud of.

That was how impressive it was to think and have feelings as a normal goblin.

At least, that was the case for Dawn.

"Hmm. So, this is the place where your tribe got wiped out." Dawn said as he looked at the trees once more.

Although he didn't know how the goblins were able to live here, he didn't have to care about it.

Since this little goblin had already confirmed it for him, Dawn didn't have to waste time here.

Of course, he didn't also have to waste time waiting for the little goblin to get a grip of himself.

That was why Dawn spoke as he looked at the little goblin.

"Where is the treasure that you spoke of?"

Dawn's goal of coming here was just for two things; the treasure that the little goblin offered, and the secret monster pot.

There's no way Dawn wouldn't want to see that right away after he achieved what he came here for in this place where the goblin tribes used to live.

Of course, the little goblin knew better than to keep Dawn waiting, and that was why he spoke.

"Follow me, it's located in the tribal chief's house." The little goblin said as he started to walk.

Of course, the other goblins in this place started to walk as well as they followed the little goblin.

However, there was one goblin who didn't follow the little goblin, and just went up to Dawn, and that goblin was Moris.

It was weird if you think about how Dawn was actually rushing now.

That was why Moris cut to the chase as he bowed his head when he felt that Dawn was looking at him now.

"Your Highness, that goblin might be lying to us."

"I don't feel any monsters near here, and the place where the monster pots are located is just near here."

"However, the fact that I don't feel any monsters means that there are no monster pots. That is why I think that this goblin is lying."

What Moris said was the truth. He could not feel any monsters near them, and that was weird.

After all, the monster pots of the goblin tribes, as Moris knew it, were just near here.

And the fact that he could not feel them means that there are no longer monster pots in the area.

And if there are no monster pots, that would mean that the secret monster pot that the little goblin was talking about was just a lie he made up.

Of course, Dawn could feel that there were no monsters near them. That was why he even bothered listening to what Moris said.

However, Dawn soon shook his head. After all, Dawn could feel it.

Dawn could feel something within the little goblin that says he is not lying.

"Give it some time, I think that goblin would pull through for us."

"Just keep watch of the surroundings, and alert me as soon as possible of those guys come here again."

What Dawn was really worried about was those mysterious humans or enemies.

They might come back here since the goblins were wandering around.

Although they were trying to keep their presence as small as possible, one could still feel them if one is focused.

That was why Dawn thought that it wouldn't be impossible for those enemies to come back here.

Of course, Moris could no longer speak after that as the king already made the decision.

"Yes, Your Highness..." Is what all Moris could say.

And with that, Dawn and Moris finally started walking as they followed right after the little goblin.

Of course, as this was the place where the goblin tribes live, their journey would just be short.

After all, the tribal chief's house would just be around the corner.

And that was the truth as Dawn could see that the little goblin has already stopped walking right in front of a tree.

And when Dawn arrived in that space, the little goblin spoke once more.

"The goblin tribes are following the way of living of the goblin's ancestors. That is why the treasure that we have is from the ancestors."

What the little goblin said was the truth. The goblin tribes were practicing the way of living of the past.

And because their way of living was from the past, their honors and treasures would also be from the past.

That was why it wouldn't be weird if the treasure that the little goblin talked about belonged to one of the ancient goblin tribes.

Of course, Dawn also knew that, but he just didn't care about it.

After all, why should Dawn live in the past? Dawn only wanted the present. And he would conquer everything to make the present his.

"Where is the treasure, then? I can see no treasures right here." Dawn said as he looked around.

There was nothing noteworthy around them, but of course, that was because it was not around them.

In fact, the treasure that the little goblin was talking about was buried underneath!

"It is under here." The little goblin said as he pointed at the ground right in front of the tree.

He then proceeded to bent his knees so he could dig up the ground!

After all, the little goblin wanted to keep his life, and this was the only way.

Even if he knew that digging this treasure is forbidden, as long as the little goblin could achieve his revenge, it would be fine for him.

That was why he was going at it fiercely!

Sha!Sha!Sha!

The sound of the ground being dug up resounded out in this place.

A few seconds have passed and the little goblin has already made quite the pile of earth beside him.

Of course, the other goblins were just watching him. After all, they didn't know what to do in this situation.

Even Dawn didn't know what he would do in this situation. That was why it would be best to leave it to someone who knows, and that someone who knows was the little goblin.

Dawn sure didn't want to mess this up when finally their journey was beginning to show some fruits to pick.

Besides, it wouldn't take long for the little goblin to finish doing his things as he worked very fast.

And that was the truth as the little goblin finally stopped. It was weird that the little goblin didn't even show any signs of exhaustion.

After all, he did some serious digging, but that is only normal. As little as he may be, he was still a goblin.

"Here." The little goblin said as he stood up and turned his head to look at Dawn.

Of course, Dawn was already walking towards him ever since he noticed that the job was done.

And when Dawn arrived there, he looked at the...treasure that the little goblin worked so hard to get.

---What is this?

Dawn thought as his eyebrows wriggled quite nicely. After all, Dawn didn't know anything about the...treasure that he was seeing right now.

It would only be natural to get confused about it, and the best way to know things is to ask someone who knows.

That was why Dawn turned his head towards the little goblin, and when the little goblin saw that, he spoke again.

"This is the treasure of the goblin tribes...the rod." The little goblin said as he looked at what he dug up.

And it was just a stick. However, the stick was long, but that was all.

It didn't have any redeeming features or some special qualities at all.

What's more, Dawn couldn't even feel anything that could make this stick a treasure.

It would be more correct to say that the stick was just buried and the goblins thought that it was a treasure.

That was why Dawn...was confused.

Should he get angry right now? Should he kill the little goblin for wasting his time? Should he destroy the stick for the misunderstanding?

After all, this time was just a waste of time, but that was wrong as Moris stepped up and spoke.

"Ohhh!! Is that! Is that!" Moris said as he looked at the stick.

Moris then kneeled down in front to get it, but the little goblin stopped him by slapping his hands.

"This is the treasure of the goblin tribes! Our deal was to have this goblin to have it, not you!"

The little goblin said as he pointed at Dawn, and due to that, Moris was able to get back his wits.

And as soon as he did, he spoke.

"This is the best treasure that the goblin tribes have!"

"You must take it, Your Highness!"

"This is the Rod of Goblins!!"
