Chapter 193 - Thirty-Four Years Old And Single

Knock knock!

Robert knocked on Brian's bedroom door. As a steward of the house, he needs to manage most of Brian's important work when he was away. Then something came up when Brian went to New York to attend a wedding ceremony. He thought Brian probably already knew this would happen.

"Come in, Robert," Brian said from inside the room. He was just returning from New York after spending two days in New York City with his daughter and Alex.

Luckily, Jamal returns back alive and not being caught by any media or a gang, which he believes is hired by someone from the Wayne household to capture Raymond. Hearing his steward knocking on his door, he could probably guess what happened in Washington, D.C.

"Master, your presence is required by the defense minister. The White House wants your explanation regarding 'Hawkeye' satellite that has been hacked by someone." Robert said swiftly and full of ethic.

Sighing, Brian rubs his bridge of the nose. "Where's the programmer team?" He asked and looked at his watch. It's already nine o'clock, and he's a bit tired now.

"All of them already at the base, Master. The design team is on their way to the base too." Robert is reporting to him about his best team's location in the company.

Nodded, Brian takes his coat and says, "Pack my suit. We'll be leaving in ten minutes." He then walks out of the bedroom and going straight to Lily's bedroom.

Once Brian was out of the room, Robert instructs the maid to pack Brian's luggage. It seems like he going to spend at least a week in the base. Being head of high-tech developer is not easy as he always frequent at White House, his own company, or sometimes, NASA's headquarters.

All of his team also had the same routine as him. His company had a three major department which is 'specialize' in government task. One was the program department, second is the designer department, and the third is the engineering department. Each department consists of five great and talented people all over the world.

But with only one hacker who manages to break through the 'Hawkeye' system, all three departments need to stay in the base for at least one to three weeks and build a new security wall.

However, the suspect is still within a Wayne family as the hacker who able to retrieve a lot of video from the past years and only attack at a specific person only. On top of that, on her special day too.

Robert was standing at the entrance door with Brian's suitcase. His car was also already waiting for him on the pavement.

Brian opens Lily's bedroom door and looks at her, who already asleep on her bed. She looks so innocent and pure. He caresses her cheek for a moment before he landed a kiss on her forehead.

"Daddy will not be home for a week, so you should behave and listen to Elizth, okay?" He whispers to her and pulls the comforter until her shoulder before he exits the bedroom. He went to the next room and also kissing Alex on his forehead.

Even though Alex is not his real son, but he does treasure him like his own. When he walked out of the room, he reminds Jamal to stay alert with the kids and informing him if anything happens to them.

Jamal nods his head and sends him to the entrance door along with the housekeeper, Elitzh.

The next day,

Lily noticed that the house seems different than before, and when she entered the dining hall, she could guess that her father is nowhere in her sight right now.

She didn't ask and continue to eat her breakfast with Alex. Planning on what they were going to 'play' for today. Since they both is a precious daughter and son of someone wealthy, they can't go to average preschool like others kid.

Brian has already arranged them with a private teacher who will come to their house and monitored adequately by the housekeeper. It's somewhat protective, but they have to adapt to it anyway.

When the class is over, Alex and Lily spend their time at the playroom and Alex release Jamal from his work to let him have lunch and exchange his post with the housekeeper.

Lily used this opportunity to drug the housekeeper and fled to the next building where her mother's secret base located without being noticed by anyone. While Alex helps her to clear the way, and they both entering the room to 'play.'

"Wanna come in?" Lily asked when she saw Alex was already at the table full of metal scrap.

Alex shakes his head. "No, I'll guard here." He says while smiling, looking at those metal pile. He thought of doing something with that. Maybe a little present for his new butler?

Rolled her eyes, Lily pull the book from before, and the passageway open before she went there. Clearly, she wants to know something that has been bothering her since last time at the wedding.

Once the passageway is closing, Kiera's activated and greeted her. "Welcome back, milady."

"Hey, Kiera…"Lily sits at the chair before she turns on the computer in front of her. "Can you do me a favor?" She continues again, and Kiera replies with, "Anything you want."

"I need information regarding this man who friends with my mother, Harry." Lily gives the instruction, and in less than ten seconds, all of the information she wants is presented on the desktop.

"Harry Wayne. Thirty-four years old and single. CEO of Wayne Tech and worth of 4.5 billion. He owned a few buildings in a few cities and owned two private jets. Twins of Henry William and a very carefree person. He sometimes takes a subway to go to work and often to visit a central park at the end of each month." Kiera makes a simple introduction, and Lily was observing his detail on the screen. Nothing peculiar about this man. However, each of his picture that shown on the screen somehow looks like he was sad and lonely.

"Does he have a girlfriend?" Lily asked.

"In his lifetime record, he never had a girlfriend. Only one time of rumor spread that he had a relationship with a girl named Sophie."

Lily turned silent and still watching the picture of that man. "You've said before that my mom records her life frame and lock it somewhere, right?"

"Yes, milady."

"And the only key to open it was in that man's hands, right?"

"Yes, milady."

"Good," Lily says, and she taps her index finger on her chin. She is thinking of a way to meet that man herself. She wants to know what her mother hides it from her father, and why does she even let the key to be in that man's hands? Why did her father look like he hates that man so much? Is there something happen that she doesn't know?

Well, technically, almost everything about her mother is a mystery. But one thing that she was very much feared. Is she even her father's daughter?

"Milady?" Kiera asked when Lily silent.

"Kiera, send me his schedule for this whole month and next months too." Kiera silent for a moment.

"Pardon?"

"I need his schedule for this month and the next month. And find out when he'd be able to come to Seattle. Or rather…, I can go there myself." Lily murmurs the last sentence, and Kiera still silent.

"But, milady..going out to New York by yourself is quite dangerous. It's a big city, and you could probably be lost."

Lily chuckles and says, "You're funny, Kiera. Why would I be lost if I have you? I'm pretty much safe when I'm with you, aren't I?"

Again, Kiera silent and agree with her. "You're right, milady. I'll always be assisting you whenever you need me."

"Right. Don't worry, Alex, and I will work on how to make you portable and easy to use without consuming much energy." Lily starts to open a software she often uses to make her program design.

"I will retrieve his schedule for you," Kiera reply and work on it while Lily was doing her job to modify Kiera's program.
