Chapter 192 - A Wolfdog

Knock knock!

Luna was knocking on the Wilson house door. While Raymond was standing next to her, he still doesn't know whose house is this.

After a few seconds, the door is open, and Wilson clearly shocked to see both of them. "Oh, my…goodness. Come on in!" He cheerfully said, and Luna smiles at him while Raymond already frowned, looking at Luna's face.

'Why did she smile like that?' When Luna wants to step inside the house, Raymond holds her arm, "Urm..we have an injured dog that needs attention right now." He said, and Luna immediately remembers about it.

"Oh, right! Wilson, we found an injured dog behind our cabin house. It looks the hunter shotted it." Luna explains to the man, and he peeks at Luna's Jeep parked at his driveway.

Nodded, Wilson says, "Bring the dog to my garage. I have tools." He said and went back inside while Luna turns to look at Raymond. His face looks like he was somewhat jealous, seeing she talk with Wilson just now.

Holding his hand, Luna says, "That's your gardener. You save his daughter a few years ago, and I know you do not remember any of this, but he's no threat, okay?" Luna chuckles and walks to the Jeep, ready to open the backseat door.

Sighing in relief, Raymond follow her from behind and gently carry the big dog to that man's garage. He wonders why he wants to bring the dog into his garage? Why not just telling them where the veterinary clinic so that they can go?

When Raymond walk inside his garage, he took back his word. This man's parking is different than his thought. It actually looks like a farmhouse where there are a few cages with chicken inside it, a cow, and a few other animals.

"What is this place?" Luna asked. She is also curious as to why there are so many animals inside his so-called garage.

Wilson smiles and gets the silver table ready. "Well, I was once a veterinary doctor, but I move here and only doing a favor or check-up at the nearest farmhouse."

"You what?" Luna is a bit surprised, and Raymond did not bother to their conversation as he slowly lay the dog on the table. Since Luna said he's not a threat, then he'll believe in her.

"I know, my life was not like this before, but my divorce takes a huge impact on my life. That's why I...being a bit pathetic, and I still holding up with Betty. I just want her to have a happy life." He earnestly said and averted his eyes back to the dog before he gasps.

"This is not a pure dog breed." He murmurs and touches it fur before the dog growled and almost bit his hand. Luckily Raymond was standing there and hold his neck.

"Hey, hey, hey...no bite, hero. He just wants to help you. Calm down." He warned the dog, and the dog whimper slowly before he licks his mouth.

Wilson and Luna were startled a moment before Wilson continue slowly to check on its wound. "Where did you guys found him?"

"Behind our cabin house," Luna said, and Wilson nods his head. "I never saw this guy wandered there. He must be separate from its pack."

"Is he a wolf or a dog?" Raymond asked.

"Well, technically, he is a hybrid breed. A wolfdog. If he was raised in the wood, then there's a possibility that he blends well in his pack. For a wolf to accept other than its species is somewhat rare. Maybe he was an alpha." Wilson explains and injecting the dog with a sedative before he cleans the wound on the dog legs using iodine.

"But if a human raised him, I doubt that he can survive in the woods." Wilson continues again and remove the bullet using his tweezer and put it into the tray.

He then checks on the body's fur and shows Raymond the scars, "Hmm..base on this, I guess he raised in the woods. There's a lot of fight scars, and he was tough enough to be able to live until now."

Raymond touches the place of the scar, and he scrunched his eyebrow. It's true; this dog is rather tough to be able to live until now with that much scars and covered with his thick fur.

Just after Wilson bandage the dog's leg, Raymond carry him to the cage, and Wilson hangs the IV drip bag for the dog. "Let him rest here for a couple of days. After he regains his strength back, we can release him back to the wood."

Luna nods her head, and they went back to the cabin house in the evening. There's a lot of things that Wilson talks with Raymond about how he saves his daughter and how he decides to take care of his cabin's house.

He was also telling Raymond that Luna went there for a couple of years, and suddenly she decides not to come again. It only makes Raymond more guilty, and he suddenly silent all along the way back to their cabin.

"Raymond?" Luna called his name when he was staring at the fireplace. He looks like there's a big stone on his head.

Turning to Luna, who was approaching him with a glass of hot chocolate, he smiles and opens his arm for her to snuggle to him. Once Luna settles in his embrace, he whispered to her ear, "I'm sorry.."

Luna arched her eyebrow and turn to look at the man, "For what?"

"For neglecting you and forgot about this house. I...I had no idea at all. If only I knew it sooner."

Luna sighs and shook her head a little. "There's a time when I feel like I wanna smack your head so hard that you would remember again. But, Raymond..that's not the way how its works." She put down the glass on the coffee table and turn his body around, facing him.

"There's a time when you will realize it by yourself. Just like how you figure it out to find me even though you forgot about me. Your heart will lead you back to where it belongs, and it was a long hell journey for us."

Raymond faintly smiled and lowered his head a little. "I don't know what'll I do if you reject me again."

Luna shrugged a little. "Maybe it was me who can't resist your temptation anymore. I was afraid." She cupped his face to look at her. "I'm afraid that everything will be repeated. I can't bear to lose you again. Now we have a child, and I was so afraid if they'll have him too, just like how they took my family and you from me. I can't ever live in peace again."

Raymond hug her tightly, "I will not let that happen. Trust me. This time, I'm with you. I will not make the same mistake ever again."

Luna closes her eyes and inhales his manly aroma. "I trust you. And don't blame yourself anymore. I am too at wrong when I keep pushing you away."

She was pushing him because she thought that he'd be happy without her, who would've thought that he felt the opposite way and dare to run away from his wedding to find her. Why hasn't she look at his earnestly before?

Why can't she be able to see how serious is he when they're still in Malaysia? And see how attached Alex and him, she should know it long ago, yet she keep refusing and push him away.

Kissing her forehead, Raymond caresses her hair. "I'll find a way if you still running away from me. Even though it might take a decade more."

Luna chuckles and punches his chest a little. "I'll be too old at the time."

"I don't care, as long as I can have you."

Luna rolled her eyes, "Oh...sweet talker." She then cupped Raymond's jaw and pulled it close to her.

"I think we should go to sleep now." She whispers above their mouth before Raymond grinning and open his mouth.

Savoring her lips and taste before he brings her body close to him. Shifting her body position to his laps and snaking around her back of the frame. Unclasping her bra and pull it down.
