Chapter 169 - A Specific Girl

A few hours earlier,

Raymond walks to the mall entrance while looking at his watch. He got a call from Sarah earlier telling that she wants to have lunch with him today. Since he also not too busy, he thought of going there and have a nice lunch with her.

When he was about to get into an elevator, someone who just got out from the elevator seems a bit surprised and smile at him before he pats on his shoulder casually. "Hey, Raymond, how are you doing man?" He greets Raymond who was staring at him, confuse.

"Who are you?" He asks.

The man then squinted his eyes a bit. "Wait, you don't remember me? I'm your realtor, Evan. The guy who you bought a mansion at SC two years ago with?" He pointing his finger to his face, before he says again, "Wait, we just met a few months ago. Seriously? You do not remember me?" Again, he was surprised. He knows this guy face and no way he taps on the wrong person's shoulder.

"My realtor? Mansion? Do I have a mansion?" He scrunches his eyebrow a bit. That's a whole new information for him. He didn't even remember this guy's face at all. And mansion? Why does his family not say anything about this mansion he bought two years ago? By the way, why he bought it though?

The guy named Evan nodded his head. "Er...did you lost your memory or what?" He asked when he sees that Raymond totally looks so confused right now.

They are now stepping to the side of the elevator and Evan slurps his coffee a bit.

Raymond glared at the man as he states. "I need to hear what you know about me. Have a minute? Maybe you can join me for lunch with my girlfriend?"

Evan almost spurts his drink when he heard Raymond's suggestion. "Uh...I don't think I can..but hey, aren't you married? You met me last time to change your mansion name into your wife's name. Did you two already divorce?"

Raymond turned silent. Yes, he forgot that he's married and it seems like there's a lot of things that confuse him right now. First, he had a mansion, and now, the mansion is already named for that girl? What did he miss?

"No, not yet. But, I do lose my memory a bit. So, can you tell me about this mansion thing again?"

Evan looks at him and feels a bit of sympathy toward him. No wonder he looks lost, he really had amnesia. He shrugged his shoulder and pointing his hand to the Starbucks outlet not far from them.

"Let's have a chat over there. After all, I can't just give out your private details in front of your…uh, girlfriend? Is that okay with you?" He looks at him, giving him a choice. Last time he's the one who warned him to not let a single detail out of his mouth to any person except him and now, he just return the favor.

Raymond looks at his watch again and slightly nods his head. "Yes, let's go." He then took out his phone and sending a text to Sarah that he'll be a bit late for the lunch date.

After taking his cup, Raymond sits down at the table with his hazelnut latte while Evan sits opposite him.

"So, what you wanna know about?" Evan asked and slurp his drink after that.

"When did I bought this mansion?" Raymond looks at him with a serious face. It seems like something is missing out and no one is telling him about it.

"Well, you bought this old mansion at Beaufort, SC in early 2011. Along with 165-acre land. You renovate it to be your holiday house. Then last time we met, you've said you wanna change your mansion name to your wife's name, saying that it should be her birthday present. So I prepare the whole documentation and sent the letter to your office. You didn't get the letter?" He remembered that he send it right at his office a few days after he requests to change the name of the properties.

"Which office did you send the letter?" Raymond asked again He didn't receive any letter at all from him or any other realtor.

"Well, your building that you owned? Wayne Finance?" He makes a face like 'duh!' to him.

Raymond sighs and slightly shakes his head. No wonder he didn't receive any letter, it was direct to his office which he rarely been going there after he wakes up. But again, he felt that something is off when he said that it supposed to be his wife's birthday present.

Raymond sip his hazelnut latte and look at that man, "Evan, right?" The man nodded his head. "Do you have the address of that mansion? And maybe, a spare key for me? I think I never been there since I have a little... accident here."

Evan put his cup on the table while looking at the man with a bit disbelief. Shrugged his shoulder, he said, "Yeah... I think I still have a copy of your mansion's keys at my office. About the address, here, I'll send it to your Whatapps then." He took out his phone and ready to send it to him but something is weird. He looks at the man back, "You don't use the same number anymore, huh?"

Raymond scrunches his eyebrow. "What? I think I never-" He stops his word before he rubs his bridge of the nose. Just realizing something.

"I'll give it to you now." He took Evan's phone and type his new number on his keypad before he handed it back to him. Now, that's a little bit thing cleared to him.

As to why Luna never finds him anymore, why he doesn't know about her, everything…every little thing has been changed and he was dumb enough to not realize it sooner.

When Evan has done sending him the address, they leave the Starbucks and Raymond went to meet Sarah. She was still there, smiling and waving her hand to her.

"Hey, babe…what took you so long? Your secretary tells me that you already leave the office early." She asks with her soft and girly voice.

"Did you call my secretary?" He asked. Sarah was never done that before. Everything he does, or everywhere he went, she never interferes with his business. But now..why she always watch where he went or what he do?

Giggles, she drinks her sweet lemonade. "Of course, babe... I'm worried about you."

"You never worry about me, Sarah. Did something happen to us between the year 2011 until now that I don't know?" He lifts up his eyebrow to her.

Sarah softly laugh. "Nothing..we were very much a happy couple. You know, I love you and you love me..we're a perfect match. And oh! We're about to get married before that little accident happens. Nothing that I hide from you."

"Really?" Raymond squinting his eyes a bit. Still not buying for what she just said now. There's no way nothing happens between them. If not, why did he order an expensive bracelet carve with Luna's name? Why did he gift Luna something so expensive such as a mansion as her birthday present? No way in hell he will gift someone who's not important to his life something so grand like that.

On top of that, why the only one who could make him hard is her? He felt nothing with Sarah and he feels so hard when he's with her? Just only one night but that's enough to prove him he's not having ED and he just like any other person who gets hard on a girl. But, only a specific girl.

'The mansion? Yep. I need to check that place out. Maybe she was there, and maybe I can clear things up with her.'

After lunch, he returns back to the office and resuming his endless jobs and meetings until he receives one phone call from Liam.

That phone call makes him wobbly fall on his knees without reason and tears up- also without any specific reason that he knows of. All that feel now…is only hurt and pain deep down inside his heart.
